Even though I have a well paid job, I found myself getting further and further into debt. My fixed rate mortgage was due to end in November and with the interest rates increasing I was getting extremely worried about what the new mortgage payments would be, particularly if I could afford it. I heard about Clever Mortgages through PayPlan so I contacted them and right from the start they were amazing! Communication was fantastic - prompt and very friendly. It was so easy too! My morgage adviser Michaela made my experience great .
She was very thorough great customer service accommodating to my work commitments , Michaela made the process feel very smooth I did have a glitch at the end with the interest charges from my old morgage company and I’m unsure if it was the solicitor responsibility to explain this but all in all Clever mortgages excellent .

Any question, query or assistance we required was dealt with efficiently and effectively. Sarah Tinkler was on hand at any time of the day and has done an incredible job sorting out our new mortgage and life insurances too. I cannot recommend Clever Mortgages enough. Sarah and Gemma managed our remortgage throughout and it literally took less than a few months from our initial meeting to completion. We had completed a debt management plan less than 6 months ago so was just asking for some advice from Sarah as to whether it was realistic to even consider a new mortgage. Sarah then found us a brilliant fixed rate with a high street lender and has even gone on to source great deals for life insurance and income protection again with a high street company.
Gemma kept us up to date and chased up the process on a regular basis.
The whole process was very straightforward and all done online and over the phone which was really convenient.
A great experience from start to finish, again I cannot say enough how pleased we were with the service we received from Clever Mortgages.

The only reason why I have provided clever mortgages a 4 rating is due to confusion at times on what documents has already been provided which delayed the process. Before asking further paper work from customers, clever mortgages staff should consider what has already been provided to prevent wasting each other's time for unnecessary email/phone calls.
I don't like that we had to deal with different people at certain stages of the process which can get confusing. This needs improving for sure.

Overall I want to make a shout out to Sarah who has been amazing throughout the process, helpful, friendly and always there to assist.

I was directed to CM due to my poor credit circumstances, really didn’t think I would get mortgage but when I did it was a lot higher than I could of imagined, meaning I could afford a home, not the home of my dreams but enough to get me me back on the ladder. It took a lot of hard work from CM to find me a lender that would provide what I needed. CM were available throughout the whole process from start to finish, listened to my personal circumstances. What I liked about CM is that the team were realistic, gave facts and non judgemental. Great team.

We have used clever mortgages again to remortgage our house and the service was outstanding. It was the first time around which is why we chose to use them again. I cannot recommend enough.

As first time buyers myself and my partner were nervous and had a lot of questions, and really knew nothing about the buying/ mortgage process. However we found it completely stress free, and clever mortgages was always available to answer our questions. They kept in close communication with our solicitor, giving us updates and breaking down what was happening at all times. I can’t recommend these guys enough, they truly went above and beyond to find us the best rates and act in our best interests. In particular April Angeloni was always available to us, handled everything professionally and with care, always acting in our best interest and we felt she was very experienced and knowledgable. We trusted her completely and it paid off as we write this sitting in our dream home. I must also acknowledge Gemma in the admin team, as she was very personable. When communicating with her it was always easy, she actioned everything promptly and kept track of everything we had to do, with reminders and updates. Always a pleasure and nothing was too much trouble.
