We arrived in Lijiang and met our wonderful guide, Alice. Alice explained the wonders of Lijaing over a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. With so much to see we visited the Black Dragon Pool and the Ancient City where we are staying in the most fabulous hotel.

Alice was so knowledgeable of the surrounding area, being from a smaller local village. Jade Snow Mountain was our major draw to Lijaing and with Alice’s guidance we arrived at mountain and breezed through the steps to the cable car. The trip to the mountain look out was spectacular, the guidance for preparation for the altitude a huge benefit. Thank you so much Alice for your care and support when one of us had altitude sickness and had to return to the cable car area.

After a look at the Blue Moon Lake and awesome reflection pools we arrived at the smaller Baisha village where we enjoyed the hospitality of a Sharman. We learned the language and symbols of the Naxi people.

On our return to the hotel our most dear friend- guide Alice had prepared a cake to commemorate our 49th wedding anniversary, along with a framed picture drawing by a Bashi artist that will be cherished forever. The addition of rose petals on our bed made for the most memorable time in China. The dedication and care from Alice while in Lijiang was outstanding, memorable and truly Wonderland.
A shout out to our very capable driver, Ms M, who delivered us so efficiently and safely to all of our destinations.

Vivi Chen, our tour co-ordinator was a great help to our planning. She was committed and responded to our queries promptly. The tour guides in ZhangJiaJie and Chongqing was very helpful and friendly too.

What amazed me during this trip from 6 March to 5 April 2026 were the accomplished and caring guides as well as drivers throughout this trip. They went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our trip, assisted us where there were any needs, and made our experience of China a wonderful one.

There are two things that I wish to point out that were not so pleasant. One is with Seduna Sanhe Hall in Lijiang. This hotel room lack privacy and was noisy. Anyone can peep into the room and can easily hear steps going upstairs and loud speaking.
My second feedback is with booking with Beijing Capital Airlines JD5522 from Lijiang to Xian. We were unaware that the size of hand carryon bags was 5 kilos only. We were made to pay CNY300 for 2 carry bags totalling 15 kilos. They do not even reduce the 10 kilos that we were allowed on. I do not recommend this airline when travelling.
Apart from these two points, I am happy with our tour arrangements and highly recommend our tour guides and drivers.

We have had 15 days tours in China arranged by Venassa Zheng from China Travel. We are very satisfied with the arrangement. Good Sceneries, excellent services. All the local drivers and tour guiders provided their professional, personal best toward us.

6 of us visited Lijiang for 3 nights. We had a great time. We walked the ancient city, went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Sun Moon Lake, watched a cultural show directed by Zhangyimou and performed entirely by local boys and girls and visited to Tiger Leaping Gorge. All wonderful attractions. While we were forewarned about taking precautions when visiting Jade Dragon Mountain, 2 of us still suffered from acute mountain sickness and came down with diarrhoea and nauseousness. However, our guide, Eleanor, ensured we were well taken care of by getting us heat packs to soothe our bloated stomachs and medicines to stop the symptoms. Hence, we recovered very fast and still got to enjoy the entire itinerary. All said, the ingredients of a great holiday were all present - wonderful attractions, good food and great tour guide. It’s all about the people. Thank you Eleanor!

The journey in Wang Shan with China tour is very impressive and Pleasant! The tour director Suki is very professional, responsible and caring! We really enjoyed the scenery and services provided!
Hence we highly recommend to other travellers.

We were escorted by a guide named Bree, and the final portion of our tour was led by David. Together, they made our experience truly spectacular and memorable.
Both Bree and David consistently went above and beyond—not only throughout the tour but also by offering valuable assistance outside of it. They provided helpful advice on local vendors, negotiating prices, food recommendations, and the best photo locations. They were also very attentive to our needs, accommodating all of our requests, including frequent restroom breaks, with patience and professionalism.
Even after the tour concluded, they have continued to support us. We are currently in the process of trying to adopt an abandoned dog, and they have been incredibly kind in assisting us and doing their best to help make this possible.
We will absolutely seek out their services again on our next trip in the coming months, and we highly recommend requesting Bree and David when visiting Zhangjiajie.

Vivi was very helpful in recommending the hotels in Suzhou & Shanghai. Transfers from Airport to hotels were were well arranged. Vivi was also quick to respond to our messages. Overall, we are pleased with her service n will definitely contact her again on our next trip to China.

Be very wary of using this company. I booked a soft berth from Chengdu to Tibet months in advance.
They took my money but when my ticket was due to arrive everything went silent. I had to end up contacting them only to find out they had not got me a ticket! They offered a hard seat ticket for a 40 hour train journey, I had no choice but too book this but after a worried sleepless night I decided to cancel my plans as I felt their unprofessional and impolite manner had ruined what was to be a magic trip.
They have only refunded me the difference between soft and hard ticket and have refused to repay my cancellation for the hard seat even though cancelled within 24 hours.
This company did not have the decency to contact me when my original booking was not fulfilled and instead I am now left out of pocket, having to change my trip and thoroughly wary of who I deal with
Please take care and make sure if you use this firm you are not promised something and then end up with a poor substitute which they won't re imburse.

Probably the worse company in china that I have ever dealt with

We booked a Private Transfer service from the Shanghai Cruise Terminal to Pudong International Airport. Annie, who is our Travel adviser, is very responsible and caring, we felt very comfortable and safe by using their services.

Tour guide's names are in brackets. We had a 14 day tour of Harbin (Winnie), Kunming (Doyle), Lijiang (Alice), Dali (Frank), and Shangri-La (Pema). We were very well looked after. All the tour guides were extremely watchful and attentive of us and spoke quite fluent English with the exception of our guide in Harbin, Winnie. They were quite knowledgeable too. Winnie doesn't seem to know how to get the group of 8 to walk together. She walks slowly in the front unaware that the others are trailing quite far behind. One of our group member fell and was bleeding way far behind us. I had to yell loudly at her to get her to stop and then come back to look for the fallen member. At least 300 meters behind us. In the meantime other members of our group took her to the police station to get attended to. It happened at the "Pedestrian Tunnel under Zhongyang Street in Harbin. I myself fell in Kunming, your tour guides and bus driver, Mr. Ma was so helpful in so many ways. Helping me up and down the bus. Also, taking me on a wheelchair where possible and supplying ice for an ice pack for me. Also, when our flight was delayed for eight hours, Vanessa, helped us arrange to rebook tickets around midnight and had transportation and a guide waiting for us when we landed and arranged for next morning's transportation to the airport. That is what I call "going above and beyond". All in all I would recommend China Travel with confidence to my friends.

We had a great time with Daisy in Dali.
She is professional in her approach, with a very friendly and genuine touch to bring us through each day's program. Besides being bilingual and knowledgeable about the history and information about the places, she is able to manage the appropriate amount to share while pacing our energy level and overall time management; always checking on our preferences and how we are coping with the higher altitudes.
She is very caring, passionate about her work and wanting her guests have a good local experience and a great time.

We spent a wonderful day in Chengdu with guide Helen visiting the Panda Breeding and Research Centre, People’s Park and Kuan-Zhai Lane.

Helen expertly guided us thru the Panda Centre, navigating thru the crowds and timing the various areas to ensure we maximized our sightings of the Pandas. She filled us in on how the pandas are taken care of (spoiled) and many other interesting facts about what the centre does and how the pandas live.

What we enjoyed most about the day (besides the adorable pandas) was experiencing Chengdu’s culture exploring local neighbourhoods such as People’s park and Kuan-zhai lane with Helen sharing her local insights and personal experiences. We enjoyed watching locals spend time in the park and having tea with Helen. It felt like visiting with a good friend. We also enjoyed trying local food at Kuan-zhai lane. We liked the sense of community in Chengdu despite a population of 20M.

It was a wonderful day. We will be back to see more of Chengdu. Thank you Helen!

The Guides such as Doyle, Frank and Alice, and drivers such as the 2 Mr Ma's made trip exceptional. My friend fell in Stone Forest and hurt her leg. They pushed her wheelchair through gravel and cobble stones. Lifted the chair when there are steps. Way beyond call of duty. Doyle kept us laughing with his personal life stories during our bus rides. Thank you all

8 days Beijing - Shanghai Tour
Had a wonderful experience transacting with Vivi, our travel consultant. she doesn't mind even if we keeps changing our itinerary, she's very patient and understanding. Likewise, with our guide in Beijing, Jason very passionate and professional with his work. full of knowledge and very informative.

Vivi was an excellent travel consultant and went above and beyond to plan our trip. We had issues at our end with delays in arrival and Vivi quickly reshaped our itinerary, so we still got everything done we wanted to do. The guides and drivers are very informative and had good English,

I used China Travel to book train tickets from Hong Kong to Beijing. They then offered to set up a private tour for us in Beijing. Annie helped us out and was fantastic. Our tour guide Lily was fantastic as well.

Our tour guide Wing was very helpful in every way. It was a rainy day, but she had the same energy and enthusiasm in making our trip enjoyable and comfortable.

Sarah Zhou, our passionate tour guide who loves pandas, was amazing. She coordinated our trip in Chengdu. She is both friendly and knowledgeable. We shared lots of stories and good laughs.
