The positive: fantastic product! I purchased the one piece unisex green sharks long sleeve zip swimmers and the fluro orange kids rash top. Both items were in stock and delivered fairly quickly. Great quality and highly resistant to pool chlorine. The kids absolutely loved them.
The negative: I then ordered the blue turtles rash top. This was a pre-order with ‘shipping w/c Oct 19.
No shipping advice was received during that week and since then I’ve been emailing and messaging to get some delivery expectation. However, all of my efforts to date have been ignored and I have no idea when I’ll see the product.
It is non-existent after sales customer service! Really poor and an unfortunate experience only the second time I’ve ordered from this business.

My advice would be: order with confidence if the product is in stock. BUT DO NOT ORDER PRE-ORDER ITEMS unless you want to experience the delays and associated angst and frustration I and many other customers have as a result of CheekyChickadee’s lack of service.

What a terribly run company, presale in may for early June delivery, no communication, endless emails with no replies, eventually part of order turned up in September.
As a seamstress checked these for me as the sizing didn’t look right,( too long in the body in comparison to the width) I checked this with them not a problem they say but if you want a refund send them back we will reimburse, and oh the other part of order is still out of stock. 1 st October and I have finally received my money back 5 months! Corresponding with them is horrific, never answer emails before numerous emails over weeks and weeks! Such a shame love the prints and fabrics

Love the swimsuit i ordered from cheeky chickadee. The quality is the best ive ever seen from any swim suit brand.

I had pre ordered this suit with an estimate ship date 1st week of june. When i reached out to the company they sent me a very detailed email as to why my order would not reach me in this time which i was VERY appreciative of. Even offering a refund if the time frame didnt suit.

It was something out of their control and i was more than happy to wait. You never know what is going on behind the scenes.

I an so glad i waited and will be purchasing again.

Love Cheekychikadee! Have received their swimsuits as gifts or bought myself for the past 3 years. Love the bright colours and unique motifs. Can spot my kid from far away in busy areas! The material is durable. Some delay in shipping due to manufacturing issues. Would probably get organized differently/earlier for next summer but definitely coming back!

This brand has gone downhill massively.
I just received 3 new swim rash shirts and they are awful.
Compared to one I’ve owned for nearly 2yrs the quality is terrible, it’s no longer double lined, stitching is poor, no weight to the shirts and they are completely see through!!
Compared to our blue whale shirt that has been used weekly for swim lessons, water parks etc even badly put in the dryer on accident it’s still in excellent shape and will easily last our younger child.
No communication on shipping just had a random parcel show up all stuffed in a small aus post bag.
I can’t believe they are tanking their own business with terrible quality and bad customer service.
So so disappointed such a loyal chickadee customer but I guess I’ll keep an eye out on the second hand page for old fabric that actually lasts.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother.

I ordered 3 items on 31 March. Three months later I've received one. They held my entire order hostage for a preorder that was due in May and still hasn't arrived, shipped a single pair of shorts only after I chased it, then went silent for over 2 weeks until I left a review on the website.

Now they've “lost” a pair I bought and paid for 3 months ago. Why force people to wait for preorders if you're not actually holding the stock?

Would give zero stars if I could. RUN and do not give this company your money.

I ordered two swimsuits in mid April. One was available now and one was pre-order for delivery start of May. It got to the start of May and no swimsuits had arrived…. By this time I realised that despite me paying for shipping, they had decided to save on costs they held back the first swimsuit to wait for the second. None of this delay was communicated to me, and was not stated on their website, in the email confirmation, or in their shipping policy.

At the start of May I received an email saying the pre-order swimsuit was delayed and would be shipped first week of June. At this time I emailed asking where the first swimsuit was, and they begrudgingly sent it to me as if it was a goodwill gesture not to make us wait.

Come first week of June, nothing is sent or communicated. I followed up with them, only to be told there is another delay to 15th June and asking if I wanted to make any changes to the order or get a refund. I emailed back same day and said yes, I need a size up now as my son will be too big given the two month shipping delay since ordering.

I received no response. I have now followed up a further 4 times, still no answer and no second swimsuit. At this point the company has simply taken my money and stopped responding.

I will be completing a chargeback as I can’t wait any longer for an order as my child in a swimsuit that is too small for him. The lack of communication and care for customers is absolutely wild. They are still advertising the same swimsuits on their website and pushing EOFY despite not having stock - or maybe they do - I don’t know as they aren’t responding.

This has been such a waste of time, and now I have to explain to my 4 year old that the swimsuit he picked out and has been asking for for the last 2 months isn’t coming.

I ordered two swimsuits. I have received neither of these swim suits. I have emailed Chickadee on several occasions but have had no replies. No refund. DO
NOT BUY from this company. Disgraceful practices!

Amazing quality, Amazing prints and always get lovely comments from people out and about. The customer service and fast delivery is a added bonus. I love supporting this brand and I love the prints for both of my boys. They make lovely gifts for a new baby too. Thanks Connie x

Lied about shipping, then sold my stock to other customers so my family set is now incomplete expecting me to accept a smaller size. Ah no sorry that's not how this works either find the sizes I ordered or just cancel the whole lot.

Same complaint as others - wont buy again! This is the 2nd time I've had issues with this company. Last time they never shipped my order and when I contacted them, they didn't have the product any more.

This time, Ive been waiting over 2 weeks for order. I contacted them, they've since sent one item of the three ordered - where's the others!!!! Far out, never again. Cute but shitty service.

I use the term “business” loosely, because this is not a business in any professional sense. I genuinely have no idea how this company is still operating. From deleting negative comments on their social media because they can’t handle criticism, to their complete lack of accountability, the experience has been nothing short of abysmal.

Ordering from this company has caused me nothing but stress. Christmas is already a difficult and busy time of year for many people, without the added burden of unnecessary frustration from a company that cannot deliver what it promises.

Like many others, I purchased several pairs of bathers for my children as Christmas presents on 6 November 2025, with an advertised shipping date of 10 November. Shortly after, I received an email explaining there would be delays due to stock issues. While disappointing, I appreciated the communication and initially gave them the benefit of the doubt.

In the second week of December, I followed up again and was told my order would ship “in two days.” Two days passed with no update, so I emailed requesting a full refund. At that point, I also reported the company to Consumer Protection.

Within hours, I suddenly received a shipping confirmation, along with an email expressing surprise that I had made a complaint — an unprofessional and inappropriate response.

Two days before Christmas, my order arrived incorrect. I received only one of the two pairs of bathers I ordered for my daughter, all of the items for my son, and an extra pair of shorts I did not order. I contacted them immediately to notify them of the mistake and to ask where the missing item was.

Fast forward to today, 2 February 2026, and I still have not received the second pair of bathers. My complaint remains open with Consumer Protection and has now progressed to conciliation.

Do not — and I cannot stress this enough — waste your money, time, or energy on this company. The service is unacceptable, the processes are chaotic, and customers are left chasing basic resolutions for months. Never again will I order from here, and I strongly advise others to avoid them as well.

I've bought 3 different things off them over the years and have been disappointed 2 out of 3 times. First time we pre-ordered a design and it took 3 months longer to arrive then they said it would, by that point it didn't fit anymore so was a waste of money. Second order was ok, no issues but I wasn't super impressed with the quality, luckily it was a light colour so I didn't see much fading in the few months we had it. The 3rd one was a nightmare, I paid extra for express delivery as we had lost our other pair at the pool and needed a new set within a week before we went on holiday. I emailed them as soon as I placed the order to request they please process it urgently. The email was ignored and after 2 days they still hadn't even shipped my order so I emailed again asking for an ETA as it was urgent. Got a reply a few days after that saying sorry we didn't see your emails and we also forgot to send it express but it's already been sent now so there's nothing we can do about it, they did refund the extra I paid for the express shipping though at least. That wasn't the end of the issues though, when we did finally get the bathers the quality was awful, they were black and they faded badly and the material all frayed after the first swim in them. All the tummy and arms area went from black to almost white, so they noticeably looked bad. I used them one more time after that and they got even worse so I ended up throwing them away as I was too embarrassed to have my son seen wearing them. They cost me $60 with shipping (they were on sale at the time tii). I ended up buying an $8 pair from kmart that were also black and it's been 6 months of use and they look the same as when I bought them so what does that say about their quality. I won't bother buying from them again, if I'm investing in the most expensive pair of kids bathers I could find, I expect top customer service and top quality, neither of which they supply

Ordered in sept. 4 months later only 1 of the 5 items had arrived. They just drop ship from china. Had to file a charge back with bank to get a refund as they stopped replying to emails. Apparently they oversell the pre orders. Have finally got a refund.

Same issue as everyone else it seems. While I love the designs and colours its not worth the months of waiting for your order to arrive. Will definitely be looking elsewhere from now on.

Would give 0 starts if this was possible. Same experience as other reviews. 6 months delay in receiving items, terrible customer service and shifting blame on to the customers. They have changed their Facebook to private so that no negative comments can be received. The 3 most recent 5 star reviews have most likely been left by the owner in an attempt to bump up their star rating. The products themselves are not good quality. There are many fantastic Australian businesses to buy from. Avoid this company

I have been using cheeky chickadee bathers for the past 5 years we love them. The bathers last for such a long time and the patterns are so lovely.
I have found their communication to be amazing. I cannot wait to receive our new bathers!

I bought my son his first two zip up, long sleeve swimming suits when he was 3 months old. Hes now 3 years old and only just outgrowing them.
So I purchased a new swim suit on pre-order the other week, and can't wait for it to arrive.
The material is soft and durable, bright coloured and super cute.
I'll keep buying from Cheeky Chickadee for as long as they keep making these adorable swim suits.
They're also very responsive with their customer service. Super polite and lovely to talk to.

I have been buying bathers from Connie since my eldest was a little baby (so around 8 years) I love that she hand paints the designs, it makes each piece of clothing a work of art! We’ve always received so many compliments on our daughter’s bathers, and I always point them in Cheeky Chickadee’s direction! Over the 8 years we’ve bought 100’s of pieces, from bathers to raincoats, dresses, hat, leggings, jumpers, onesies, t-shirts.. the list goes on. I can tell you I’ve never had an issue with any of it and most pieces have been passed down to either my second daughter, friends or my nieces and nephews.
Their “Brights” collection is an investment in itself! I can go to a busy water park, resort or beach and easily spot my daughters in their matching bright swimmers! Hoping they extend the sizes so my eldest daughter can continue wearing for years to come! Highly recommend 🥰🙌🏼
