I flew from Sydney to Melbourne to buy a car from Cavalo, after being assured by the salesperson that the vehicle was in the same condition as advertised and as shown in the photos. Unfortunately, this was not the case at all.

When I arrived, the car had significant damage from stone chips, none of which were disclosed or evident in the photos provided (they were clearly edited). The condition of the vehicle was misrepresented, resulting in wasted time, travel costs, and inconvenience.

Very disappointing experience and poor transparency.

I purchased my vehicle from Cavalo back in June 2025 and despite continued enquiries for the transfer + registration of the vehicle into my personal name, no action was taken.

Misleading and fraudulent representations were made in writing and orally that they have completed the transfer. Nevertheless, VicRoad confirms, a week before the next rego is due, that the vehicle is literally still in the dealer’s name.

Super unprofessional services after sales - I strongly recommend to check your contract for purchase, loan agreement and make sure they make payment to VicRoad for all the stamp duties and rego costs asap. These costs have already been deducted from your pocket at time of the transfer and settlement.

Cavalo, big name but very unprofessional in my own personal experience!!
