Neil in your Bury St Edmunds store was helpful when I went in on 30th July looking for a pair of ladies walking shoes for a one off trip to Scotland. He was couteous, understood my special requirements and made this senior lady feel she has been listened too. I will be shopping there again in the future .

Charlie really helpful and offered lots of advice with tents and camping gear. Highly recommend.

Went in today and was served by Joe I was looking for Nikwax for our gortex jackets, there were a few products to choose from and was a little confusing Joe was excellent he took the time to explain the process of how to use the product which was good as I would have used it wrong !

I was served by Dave when buying new walking boots and he was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! Would definitely choose this branch again it was really useful to have someone so helpful.

Great experience at Blacks Bury St Edmunds store. Looking for t-shirts. Danielle could not be more helpful, ordering my size and offering a discount if I bought a second t-shirt. The second t-shirt was a different brand to the first and neither was in the store promotion. Thank you to Charlie for approving the discount and reassembling the t-shirt that was too large. Finally, a big thank you for making a fuss of our shy dog. She would shop here everyday. We'll be back.

Danielle did a really great job helping me to buy some walking boots and checking they would be ok for my inserts.

A big Thank You to the staff of Blacks in Bury St Edmunds, who were incredibly patient and helpful in helping me select my new Scarpa mountain boots. Great product, great value and a great shopping experience with helpful, friendly staff who have excellent product knowledge. The advice on boot fitting and construction gave me every confidence that I was buying the right boot. Furthermore, the staff were again friendly and helpful when I decided to swap the boot for a different size on a different date. Definitely my Go To store for my outdoor equipment.

I love the outdoors in the UK. Today was my first time in this store as I needed a day out due to a family tragedy. It is a great store. Charlie and his team did an excellent job. Thank you so very much. 👍🏽👍🏻

Thank you to David and Holly for helping me find the shoes my wife had sent me to buy. David talked me through the best option from the list and Holly quickly found a pair in the correct size.

We dropped into the store after receiving an email with offers, obviously we were surprised and saddened to see the closing down signs, however we took the opportunity to make a few purchases we hadn't planned on making! And Hollie was extremely helpful, nipping up & down the stairs to save me struggling with the stairs! With no pressure to rush our shopping, We were glad to hear the store is altering to a Go Outdoors so it will not be an empty shop and the staff will remain so all good for all those concerned, including Bury St Edmunds, we will no doubt be back and we recommend Blacks for good products, good customer service and value for money. Its a tough commercial world, obviously a strange old world, so keep smiling and enjoy every day.

Visited this store recently to purchase a couple of rucksacks and a new quote, was served by Jamie and Hollie, both were so helpful and friendly with loads of knowledge.

Went to Blacks for some hiking gear with my daughter for her upcoming school trip to Iceland. We were assisted by the absolutely wonderful Danielle, who was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and thorough in helping my daughter select the perfect footwear. All aspects of our shortlist were discussed, and I was very impressed at her ability to prioritise what we needed. We took a lot of her time with no complaints, and as a result my daughter is now all set for her trip. We’re both very appreciative and we will no doubt be back! Thank you Danielle!
