A last resort only Gym
Nobody showed me around the facility or how to use the equipment. A lot of the equipment is missing, and when I asked staff, they said absolutely no interest in the fact that the equipment was missing and told me that the place was falling apart and that it was normal that things were missing.

I am very sorry to hear that the Kings Hall leisure centre has missing equipment and the staff seem unfriendly. We are also sorry to hear that you were not given an induction or a tour of the facilities if you requested this. We pride ourselves on Customer Service excellence so we are disappointed to hear that this is not the service you have received so far. I will forward your feedback for the attention of the centre manager so he can look into the points you have raised. We may not be able to provide an immediate solution to all the points you have raised but we will certainly look into these to try and find a resolution. Through feedback we can identify improvement areas and provide a better service.

Lack of facilities
The bad thing is that there aren't lockers into the changing rooms which is unacceptable and can't secure your stuff if you want to have a shower.
Also at the sauna area there are no seats to be able to change your clothes. Also might be useful a waterproof matt in gro t of the lockers as it's always wet.
There is a women only day but not a men only day, which is mandatory not to use the same facilities the same time.

Mould, dereliction, lack of hygiene
The swimming pool in Kings Hall Leisure Center is more than run down. While the changing rooms feel mouldy and unhygienic, the pool itself has a huge amount of dirt and debris at the bottom and the water does not seems to be cleaning as fast as it should. I was told by staff that renovations are planned but no one had any idea how long they'd take and when they'd be taking place. I was very excited to start swimming again and can now only think of how unpleasant the entire experience is.

Only knocked one star off due to initial start of fitness journey
I’ve always been afraid of gyms and gym culture but the instructors at Kings Hall have made me feel incredibly comfortable. My hour long induction was everything I needed and I’ve gone to several classes already. All the teachers of which have been fantastic!
The reason why I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is only due to when I first tried to join, I found a few staff members to be a bit standoffish which when already feeling anxious, didn’t help. There was one reception staff member who was very caring but I haven’t seen her since joining.
I got my partner to join too and we found the initial start of the process to feel a little off.

1.There’s not much woman's only classes
2. The changing rooms near the pool area always smells of urine it’s so strong that it makes you gag it’s every day it smells so bad
3. The womens only Thursday swimming session is too cramped why is the learners in the same time why don’t learners use the smaller pool as some of us are new swimmers and find it uncomfortable or scared to use the middle section
4. The water in the pool is too cold it makes you ill
