We were looking for a bed and mattress…
We were looking for a bed and mattress as we were having our bedroom redecorated .Once we entered the shop and had a look around , one of the sales assistants asked if they could help . We told them specifically what type of bed we wanted but weren't sure what type of mattress we were looking for . James took us to the mattress tester and it said we were looking for a medium to firm mattress. James took us over to a mattress , specifically latex free and let us try it. The mattress we tried was a medium igel nanotech 3000 mattress. James took us to other mattresses to try but we kept referring back to the first one we tried. James gave us time to try all the mattresses , giving us information on style and what each mattress contained. We then decided to go for the first mattress that James took us to , based on the mattress tester and bought a 2+2 divan base. Throughout the process James was informative , gave us time to decide and took us through the sale process . James knew his products and competitors products well.

Bensons for Beds sold us a double bed…
Bensons for Beds sold us a double bed we had specifically asked was child compliant, which they confirmed.
Once delivered and built I called to query this and Bensons for Beds said they were wrong and the bed is not child compliant it is only the single version that is child compliant not the double version they sold me and confirmed was child compliant at time of the sale in the store. Appalling and dangerous mis-selling by Bensons for Beds.
Buyer beware, first and last time we'll ever use Bensons for Beds as this is dangerous. Only options were refund or a single bed - we had already removed the previous cot and build the new bed so both options no use. We now have a bed which we've had to make child compliant ourselves with an extra slat added and a guardrail.
£25 refund provided only and told "that's it" - appalling customer experience.
