Visited to Cwmbran store on 06/09/23 to be greeted by Andrew (Assistant Manager). I wanted to buy an ottoman bed ‘ headboard for my 4 year old Son, (already purchased a mattress from same store a month before for him, then realised his bed frame was split). I wasn’t looking for an expensive bed as I know we’d change for a bigger bed in next few years. I felt Andrew didn’t have the time of day for me as I was buying a ‘cheaper bed’ (was still £580 altogether mine). I asked for the matching sandflies headboard with the base to be told ‘they haven’t got that colour online’ so I asked which headboard have they got to match with the base. He pointed to a £40 cheaper headboard & I double checked ‘so that’s same colour as base’, he replied ‘yes’, so I went ahead & ordered that one. When he got to delivery stage he said ‘we have a really long wait on delivery though, the next date is 28th September?’ I replied ‘well I need a bed for my Son so it’ll have to be that date then’. I felt he was very short with me & got the impression he just didn’t like me, that I came out the store feeling deflated & even phoned my Mum to tell her. I checked over the receipt that night to only realise that Andrew has ordered a headboard a complete different colour to the base, contrast together would have looked obvious and silly. I went online to check the colour difference, only to realise that the original headboard I wanted, they actually had in stock, the same colour to match the base etc. So I went into store next morning & was approached by Terry, he was lovely, friendly & had a much better customer service from him, I explained the situation & he said ‘of course you can order that sandford headboard in that colour’ & seemed shocked as to why Andrew the ‘Assiatant Manager’ said that I couldn’t. As Terry was amending my order he said ‘14th September ok for delivery?’ I replied ‘delivery date is 28th isn’t it, Andrew said that was next available date?’ He turned the computer screen to face me to show me 3 delivery date choices, 14th, 18th & then the 28th’. So I’m having my bed come 2 weeks earlier than what Andrew said, he didn’t even give me the option that there was earlier dates, so made me wait longer, give me a different colour headboard to the base, just felt because I was a young women on my own going to store & already knew what I wanted, which wasn’t an all singing & dancing expensive tv bed, that he didn’t wanna know. So basically avoid Andrew if your looking for a bed that’s under £2000!

Andrew was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in making purchase the right beds and mattresses.

The manager of the shop really helped us to pick a product. He informed us of all the options so we were able to pick the base of the bed, the headboard, headboard size, the feet of the bed and the mattress so we could have a bed literally made for us. Catered for all of our needs and weren't pushy but very kind and helpful and approachable. Would definitely visit again.
