Be careful with art purchases - PAINTING SOLD - MONEY NOT REFUNDED
I have reached out to Benjamin Eck Gallery to purchase a painting. I confirmed through emails that the painting was available before transferring the money. Once my bank transferred the money, they emailed me that the painting had been sold to somebody else. They offered to send me similar work from the same artist, and some of the offers were half the price I paid. They listed it as if it were the same price. Once I asked for a refund, it was tough to communicate with them. They ignored any of my emails. At some point, they sent me a screenshot of transferring the money, but it never arrived. I sent several messages and emails without any response from them. I'm still waiting for my refund.
After almost a month of trying to resolve this matter, I've been told that I'm impatient. I'm still waiting for a refund and have started seeking legal help.
They lack communication skills, sales skills, and accountability.
