The bed I ordered didn’t go up the stairs. Bedworld is wanting to charge me 25% to either cancel the order or to exchange.

Cannot get through to customer service and not getting replies to emails. Avoid!

bought a mattress for my daughter and…

bought a mattress for my daughter and son in law 14 march 25, delivered 20th, raised concerns was inferior quality shortly after delivery and not like i expected, as i had purchased same mattress from AA beds which i still have 7 years later and is amazing, this mattress is now dangerous, my daughter falls off it in the night, i informed them 24th march 2026 and they say its 3 days out of warranty, under my consumer rights i am entitled to refund, when i cited this to them they now asking me to choose another mattress and they will see how much discount they will give me, this is apalling, they clearly do replica mattresses, it was 309 not cheap, a mattress is not fit for purpose if you roll off it just one year old, it should last 7-10 years, terrible who can recommend a good mattress? Thanks all.

DO NOT BY FROM THESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS

They promise delivery in 8 days. My order took 12 days after prompting. They could not get the split divan up the stairs? Strange because there was one in situ in the upstairs bedroom.? Not much effort was put into trying. They were more interested in getting back.
They wanted to leave it in the lounge to be collected whenever? I refused this and told them to take it back. I'm sure a added charge would have had to be paid to do this at some point to collect it too ?
Bed world deducted 25% off my refund claiming it was my fault it couldn't go upstairs ?
I ordered a further split double divan base from another company. It went up the stairs no problem at all.
Bed world are just rip off merchants. Don't buy from them.

I ordered a bed that came late as they had wrong address and the headboard i wanted with the bad was wrong today on the 4th of Feb 26 they say I was going to get it today but it never came I waisted my day sitting here waiting as the store said I was getting it today I will never use them again

Terrible in every way

Terrible in every way. The mattress collapsed in the middle and you can feel springs? or what feels like steel wire coming through. There were no holes or holes were in the wrong place for attaching the headboard. The part of the bed that is supposed to hold the wheels was so flimsy it broke. Terrible, avoid.

Avoid - UTTER CROOKS

Ordered two beds of the same specification and they ended up being difference heights. They accepted no responsibility and said their design spec had changed but failed to update their website with revised dimensions which is illegal.
ABSOLUTE CROOKS AVOID AVOID AVOID

Absolutely disappointing

Outrageous…, please think twice before buying….

I bought a bed frame and mattress, I don’t know the quality yet, both are in my living room, instead of my bedroom, the delivery drivers just left them there quickly, and literally run without asking me where to put them.
When I ordered it, I paid for weekend delivery. I called them like 10 times, waiting for them to answer for more then an hour…, They said weekend delivery was not possible, and gave me the money back. They scheduled the initial delivery to be on Wednesday 1st of October. In the meantime no one called me to let me know about the delivery time. I tried to call them again, again waiting so long for someone to pick up. Finally when somebody picked up the phone, they notified me that the delivery was delayed, without a specific date, because of an issue that they didn’t specify, even when I was very clear from the beginning about the importance of the bed being delivered ASAP( medical issues).
For all that trouble that they caused, I have been refunded 50£.
The bottom line, a company which is so hard to get in contact with, the delivery is outrageous, the drivers are rude, impolite and unprofessional. I will check the quality of the bed.
I have had only a bad experience with Bed World.
Avoid this company as much as you can.

Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling! Ordered a mattress, which was supposed to be delivered September 10th. We were called to say that they will be there around 4pm. I'm just moving into my new flat from oversees, so I don't have a mattress and am sleeping elsewhere. Bedworld called to say the mattress will be delivered around 4pm. I'm sitting in an empty flat waiting so by 7pm I decide to leave. Bedworld shop apparently has no means of getting hold of the drivers, which doesn't make sense in the first place. Then we got a call at 8.15pm saying that they are on their way. I have now left and wouldn't have made it back in time. Next delivery date is 1 week later, although they do deliveries on Thursdays, i.e, today for my postcode. I deeply regret buying from them.

AVOID

Please note - This is nothing to do with a different Bedworld in Middlesborough. (Please note that I feel the good reviews are to do with the Middlesborough (unrelated) bed world)
This review is to do with online Bedworld who are based in Huddersfield & have a shop at Team Valley Gateshead - Amy from there has tried to help.
I placed my order & chose & paid for weekend delivery £40 - order accepted etc - then I get a call to arrange delivery & I'm told they don't deliver on a weekend to the Newcastle area. So it's arranged for Tues 2 Sept - delivery guys appear, chat in their own language, apologised for not ringing in advance & proceed to unload the van - no mattress on the van for my order!! (6ft 6 zip & link bases & mattress ordered)
The delivery driver gets through to Gubbz, who says to accept delivery of the bases & he will get back to me in an hour re the delivery of my mattress.
He didn't - after much chasing, Amy sent an email & I continued to keep trying to get through by calling them - eventually got Gubbz - who saw my number & told his colleague he would take my call - he's to refund my delivery charge & as a goodwill gesture give me £60 (definitely a joke now)
He said he'd been on to the transport manager, apparently the issue is the computer & the print out wasn't clear, so mattresses weren't put on the van. Please note the delivery drivers print out & the copy they gave me was perfectly clear.
Gubbz said it would be Monday before delivery - he agreed this is not acceptable - I've told him I've guests coming for the weekend (I'll need to cancel now & at short notice to them - I don't have a bed for them)
He said he would email me yesterday (Wednesday) as I was at work. He hasn't & I've had no further contact from Bedworld.
Currently I have spent 2 hours from 7.55 this morning to the transport line - no answer - hang up redialled & was caller no 2 in the line, where I have been for the past 1hr & 30minutes - so now approaching 4 hours.
My son came in & has been caller's 2, 3, 5 to the transport line - the last time he rang he was back to caller 2, yet my call still hasn't been answered!!
He has also been constantly calling 02039463800 - the number I got Gubbz on, on Tuesday evening, for over an hour & a half - it rings & then cuts off, anytime between 1 & 6 minutes.
Currently Gubbz has just answered the phone 1130am, has put me on hold, has managed to speak to the transport manager & guess what, still the earliest is Monday for delivery, again I've told him I've guests coming. Apparently they can't issue me with a refund until the goods are returned, except I don't have all my goods.
I'm currently on hold 1145hrs waiting on Gubbz coming back to me, as I've said they need to get a van & get my goods to me now or refund my money. He's just said the earliest he can get it to me now is Sunday - I'm on hold again, as I've told him, he's having a joke - I need the beds by tonight.
Now he tells me he can possibly do tomorrow - he has mentioned driver hours - they're Luton vans that don't have tachographs - my son is a HGV driver. I'm currently sitting waiting on an email, whilst still on my sons phone, as I write this.
Received the email - Gubbz has given me his works no (I've rang it & confirmed this)
He personally assures me that the 1st van back tomorrow, will be loaded with my mattresses & I will have them tomorrow night. He has assured me that he will ring when my mattresses are on the van to me.
I can only wait & pray that this happens & that they are the mattresses I ordered.
I will say, the bases (although I've not unwrapped them) do look alright.
I will update this review, when I recieve customer satisfaction.

5/09/25 UPDATE:- Mattresses delivered, just after 8pm tonight, by a pleasant driver. Greatly appreciate that he was able to
drive them up. Guests are due to arrive now - we can relax & enjoy our evening, after a stressful week due to this.
I have sent a text to Guppz (BedWorld manager) to let him know we've got them.
They are what I ordered & so far, so good.
I have said to Guppz, mistakes happen, its how they're rectified that customers appreciate.
My review would have been so different, had this been sorted out quicker, without me having to chase.

We ordered base mattress and headboard…

We ordered base mattress and headboard and paid the extra to have it assembled. When the delivery guys arrived they didnt even greet me, put the bed outside and went to leave, I said no ive paid to have it assembled. They were really annoyed and unhelpful. they just stormed into the house with wet muddy shoes and stomped upstairs. I actually got really cross and showed them the mud theyd trailed thru the house. They didnt apoligise and i felt really intimidated. They left without speaking and they didnt take any packing materials as paid for amd the headboard was not attached. I phoned and phoned the number but no reply. I took pictures of the mess and emailed them to Bedworld. Still no response. I kept emailing saying I wanted the money back that i paid for assembly and after two weeks they responded saying that the drivers had taken a photo of the bed put together correcctly. After many emails going back and forth, they never accepted responsibility but offered a £10 refund as a goodwill gesture. I am disgusted with this company and not only that the base is now broken. Its too stressful for me to try and get my money back. I can only say that this is the worst experience i have ever had with an online purchase. Avoid

dishonest

dishonest, rude , deceptive back street traders, impossible to phone never answer, only email diferent people and different views, drivers awful, dellivered wrong mattress refused to turn van around and come back, after leaving my home 1 minute i opened packaging and called driver to come back he refused, contacted bedworld several times several different replies ,all in all terible company, KEEP WELL CLEAR,

We had the worst experience with buying a mattress from Bedworld.

Damaged our thermostat, rude & unprofessional delivery drivers and to finish it off.... the most uncomfortable matress we have ever had.

Only 75% refunded after plenty of backwards and forwards with customer service 🙄

DO read this before you buy!
Having tried numerous bed shops and even more beds I soon realised Bedworld offered the best option and returned to the helpful and knowledgeable salesperson, Harun, who patiently answered all my questions.
What a difference to be treated as a respected and important customer.

It is not just the quality and value of the product that makes a supplier superior but the way the staff treat YOU. Harun went out of his way to resolve a small delivery issue and it is this service that even against the more expensive brands will always put a store like Bedworld above the rest!

I cannot recommend highly enough!

I would not even give them a star if it was possible. Beware—what you see on the website and in the shop is NOT what they deliver. We had to replace our mattress THREE times, and each one was poorly made. The mattresses sagged after just four weeks and developed a large lump in the middle. When I asked for a refund and to have them collect the mattress, they refused, offering only another replacement. Clearly, they have no intention of standing by their product. Save your money and avoid this company at all costs!

Scammers and liars

Scammers and liars. Mattress failed after two months, they sent me a replacement which was not the same quality as the one in the showroom, which i did not accept, and after chasing them for 3 weeks they finally refunded me but without any kind of warning or information that they will hold 30% (£165) I have been chasing for my money back - and they totally ignored me. The manager (Guppz) is a manipulative liar. I will not give in, I am logging a police case with this too, as they way they held my money, is stealing from customers. Don't waste your energy and money with these scamming thieves.

Very impressed with Bedworld

Very impressed with Bedworld, Ipswich. Firstly Samuel at the shop was very helpful but not pushy which we liked as we'd been to other retail outlets and they pounce and go in for the hard sell. Bedworld did not do this. Bedworld are manufacturers so make the beds and mattresses to order. Also they took a much shorter time to make and delivery the order than the middle men, eg Bensons Beds !! Once we placed our order, a bed and mattress it was delivered around 2 weeks. The choice of mattresses were many but we knew what we wanted and you can have any bed style dressed in the choice of colours and materials they offer from a chart. So easy and straightforward. The whole process was stress free. To add to our experience, the delivery was also very good. The driver called us half an hour before delivery time so we could arrange receipt of the bed. He also carried everything to the room on his own! The quality of the bed and how it is made is excellent as is the sprung mattress 4,000 pocket with a foam topper. The price for both these quality items came to £1,100 so much cheaper than the rival retail outlets. We would definitely recommend Bedworld. Thank you and well done 👏

Worst Purchase Ever – A Complete Scam

If I could give zero stars, I would. I spent £650 on a mattress that is absolute garbage—completely different from what I tried in-store. It’s uncomfortable, cheaply made, and nothing like what was advertised.

After just a few nights of use, I started experiencing severe back pain because of how soft and unsupportive it is. When I contacted customer service, they were rude and dismissive, telling me that the mattress was “fine” and refusing to offer any kind of resolution. No warranty, no exchange, no accountability—just excuses.

This company is clearly selling subpar products while refusing to take responsibility for their misleading practices. I feel completely scammed. Avoid them at all costs! Save yourself the stress and shop somewhere reputable. I'll have to go down the legal path next.
