Louise at Earls Park was extremely helpful and friendly. She was understanding of our situation and the time sensitive aspect and was extremely supportive. I will be seeking Louise out in the next year or so when we are in a position to move forward with our next property.

Kornelija was so helpful and polite although we didn’t get the house due to our own circumstances she was so supportive and helped us all the time with catch up phone calls , emails always checking in and giving us reassurance directing us to the right places for advice etc. She was very thorough and made sure to explain everything shows us around and can’t thank her enough really. A true credit to the company. Thanks again! We hope to use expertise in the future

We are now several weeks into the process of purchasing our new home and Keiran Wilmot has been with us every step of the way. He has been exemplory. He is professional whilst maintaining a friendly demeanour, approachable and knowledgeable of his site and the properties on it and the surrounding area. We have had many questions during the process and Keiran has gone above and beyond in answering them promptly and comprehensively. We have appreciated his weekly updates and photographs keeping us informed of progress. He has helped us navigate through the house buying process and has made a stressful process far less so and for which we are grateful. Thank you Keiran.

There were a few minor snags, which is to be expected with a new build, but every single one was resolved promptly and without any hassle. The communication and customer service from the whole team were outstanding.

I have received such a great service from Keiran Wilmot, Sales Advisor & Laura Davies, Sales & PX Coordinator. Keiran has kept in touch weekly regarding all details of the building & final phases leading up to completion of my new home. I had an informal information tour of the house by Matt the site manager & Keiran. This was an invaluable chance for me to learn & ask questions about the appliances in the house for example the cooker, fridge freezer, boiler, solar panels, electric car charger, heating controls etc.

Laura Davies has been amazing at communicating between myself, my estate agent & solicitor an invaluable help to me.

The whole team at Avant Homes have been on hand to help & guide me through the exciting process of buying a new home. Thank you.

Ongoing water issues at Craigowl in Dundee. We have been plagued by poor water pressure, or the water going off entirely.

We’ve had another near 24 hours of little water coming out the taps and now no hot water.

Called customer service and there doesn’t seem to be any rush on this at all.

A new water pump was fitted on the estate last week ( no information provided that this work was taking place beforehand) and five days later the water pressure / supply is worse.

We bought our home on Trinity Fields for £329,995, and unfortunately our experience with Avant Homes has been nothing but frustrating from start to finish.
Before we reserved the property, we were told we couldn't view the house, so we were effectively committing nearly £330,000 without seeing what we were buying. We asked for photos of the garden because we had no idea of its size, and the pictures looked fine. It wasn't until we moved in that we discovered there was a manhole cover right in the middle of the garden. Conveniently, this had been covered with mud in the photos they sent us, so it wasn't visible at all.
We also specifically asked about the garden because we wanted as flat a plot as possible. We were told ours was one of the flattest plots on the entire development, with a gradient of 0.06. That was one of the reasons we chose this plot.
After moving in, it became obvious that this simply wasn't true. The garden slopes significantly. We contacted Avant Homes, who sent their groundworks team out to inspect it. They agreed that the garden wasn't level and explained that it could never be level as built because the garage sits lower than the garden. They told us we would need a retaining wall and approximately 15–20 tonnes of topsoil to make it level, and they said they would send a quotation to Avant Homes.
We weren't even expecting them to pay for everything. We would have been happy with a contribution towards the cost and we'd have arranged the work ourselves, which would almost certainly have been cheaper for them.
Instead, they came back and flatly refused to help, telling us that if we weren't happy we should submit a formal complaint. We did exactly that, only to receive another response saying they wouldn't be doing anything and that our only option was to take the matter to the Ombudsman.
Then, just a few days after closing the complaint, the groundworkers unexpectedly knocked on our door. They told us Avant had instructed them that morning to come back out and reassess the garden. Naturally, we thought Avant had reconsidered. Once again, they confirmed that we'd need 15–20 tonnes of topsoil (we've since paid to install the retaining wall ourselves) and told us to follow up in a few days regarding the quote.
When we did, we were told: "That was a mistake, they attended in error. As advised by myself and my manager, we would not be looking at actioning this further."
That response perfectly sums up our experience with Avant Homes.
The customer service has been appalling. Once they've got your money, don't expect any meaningful support. The only time they seem interested in contacting you is when they want you to complete a glowing NHBC customer satisfaction survey.
As if that wasn't enough, we've also had ongoing issues with our front door. We moved in in November and have already had three different door keys, all because they lost our spare key. Even now, the current key regularly gets stuck in the lock.
We also chose not to have Avant lay the turf because we'd heard from other homeowners that it often doesn't last beyond the first year. Looking back, that was probably one of the best decisions we made.
We weren't asking for the world. We simply wanted Avant Homes to stand by what we were told when we bought the property and help rectify an issue that arose because the plot was misrepresented. Instead, we've been passed from person to person, given false hope, and ultimately told they won't help.
For anyone considering buying from Avant Homes, I'd strongly recommend doing your research, asking for absolutely everything in writing, and not taking sales promises at face value. Based on our experience, once the sale is complete, customer care becomes virtually non-existent.

We bought our new home at Darach Fields 4 months ago and despite some issues during the sales process. Since moving in the site managers have been great at sorting issues. Andrew has been very helpful with our snagging issues and checks in regularly to ensure everything is on track. He is providing a great service to us which we are very grateful for.

Been a first time buyer our avant sales adviser paul has made us feel confident and happy with our experience from start to finish everything was explained perfectly and easy to understand.I was informed if there was any problems or changes that needed to be made to our home I was always made very welcoming in the office. We have now moved into our house and the support from paul still continues huge thanks.i would also say a big thankyou to the builders who have gone above and beyond helping me with jobs that have needed to be done after completion.i would highly recommend Avant homes

Ruby & Louise from Seely fields and earls park sales advisors were both really efficient. Avant homes procedure also good however ended up not buying the property due to other reasons.

Keiran at Avant Homes, Hacket Grange, provided an exceptional level of service throughout our home buying journey.

Their knowledge, clear communication, and responsiveness made the entire process transparent and reassuring. As first time buyers, we particularly valued how informative and supportive they was at every stage.
