The whole process so far has been very quick, efficient and professional. From the moment we enquired, to having the house scanned, to then having a meeting with Dave, the process has been seamless.

David took the time to understand our vision, and provide advice, to help us have clarity around the final outcome.

Reasonably priced, there was a bit of wrangling with the builder and suggested calculations, as this is all done remotely there is no site visit. Would use again.

I employed Arkiplan to draw up plans for replacing small old windows with much larger windows, requiring structural work. This was under the Scottish building regs which are completely bureaucratic compared with E & W building law. They drew up the plans swiftly and submitted the building warrant application on my behalf. I think this experience may have put them off dealing with Scottish building regs for ever!! However I am in the process of obtaining the completion certificate 18 months on and Dave is still assisting me - Superstar!!
We also had plans drawn up for an extension and loft conversion, which have been approved. Its whether or not I can face another building warrant application or not, to put the plans into fruition?

I used Arkiplan to get planning and building control drawings for an extension and internal alterations to an old house in an AONB. I was assigned to one of their architects Keeley Harris and have been extremely happy with her friendly professionalism, knowledgeable advice and guidance. The planning application went really smoothly as she produced a detailed statement for planning which kept the conservation department quiet. From the outset, Keeley discussed all the construction side of the project to make sure that what was designed could be built to our budget, and offered lots of advice with alternative options for the roof that I had designed. I wanted to futureproof the house and to increase the insulation levels from standard builds to make the house as carbon neutral as possible in these days of climate change and increasing energy costs. Keeley is a Passivhaus and Retrofit designer and knew exactly what I wanted and what needed to be done, suggesting products for me to look at and for my builders to use. We are now producing the drawings for my building control application so I can get started with the work. I am very happy with Keeley & Arkiplan and would highly recommend.

We used Arkiplan for a first floor extension to the front and rear of our house. The whole process was very smooth and our builders worked to their plans without any issues.

Have used architects before but Arkiplan have mad ethe process so much simpler and more professional. You get your DWG file and drawings to keep. I can't recomend them highly enough. They are fast , reliable and cost effective.

Keeley at Arkiplan helped us design a loft conversion and a garage extension on our family home. The service was well-priced, very efficient (quick) and we had lots of support to tweak plans and explore options with Keeley.

In the end we had to split the work into 2 phases and had to contact Keeley after a few months. She was willing to help, extremely knowledgable about building control and also a good sounding board ideas before we engaged our builders to start the job. It was so helpful to be able to check-in and get a decent level of support for such a big project.

Overall, we had a very good experience and would recommend Arkiplan and, in particular, Keeley.

Easy to use service where the consultant takes you through the process. Quick turn around to produce drawings and you can request amendments for no additional charges upto the time you agree the drawings.

Absolutely A*. I’m impressed with everything. The business model is brilliant and therefore keeps the costs down for us, the clients…and I have to give a huge shout out to Keeley who listened, advised, understood everything I wanted - and was super knowledgeable about each element (including our sewer system!). Totally worth every penny!

Overall a really good experience, planning calls were really easy. Unfortunately when it came to submitting our plans to the council this is something we had to chase
