Do not purchase any products from this company! Customer service extremely poor . I Purchased a cooker and it exploded the first time I used it . amica replaced the part's seven times in seven months after countless calls and a lifetime of being put on hold. I had to go back and forth to get a replacement and to add insult to injury they refused to install and had the cheek to say they were leaving the broken cooker on the premises . as I said dont bother once they have your money will toss uou aside.

I purchased this hob over a year ago, and the reviews I read were all saying about the lack of gas control.
But I really like the red on the gas knobs so I purchased it.
This I did find an inconvenience until my husband heard my ranting and took a look for me.
Now, yes it has two marked controls high and low but If you want it even lower turn the controller clockwise as if you were you are going to turn it off, go slowly past the high and the gas goes really low great for simmering.
You will need to look at what you are doing, but it works and now I am in control of my cooking again.
Therefore I would highly recommend this elegant hob and the price is fantastic.

Worst customer services ever. I have a fridge and all I want is a replacment shelf. I have sent in 3 emails and called 3 times absolutely no response whatsoever. Honestly the worst customer services experience ive had to endure. I expect theyll blame covid. I will NEVER EVER buy from this company again. I have noted they dont answer anyone on here either.

Unimpressive larder fridge.
Amica FC2093 55cm freestanding upright larder fridge.
The unit is noisy with a noticeable gurgling sound when the compressor operates.
The solid glass shelves do not allow good air flow and collect water.
There is nothing to stop items touching the back plate so running water goes onto the shelves and dissolves cardboard and labels on your goods.
Water pools up below the salad drawer to a considerable depth.
The shelf spacing is inflexible and poor with little scope for adjustment. It is difficult to see and reach items toward the middle and back of the shelves, so much space is wasted.
The door balcony shelves are too large, encouraging too much weight to be put in the door.
The shelves have no facility to accept tall drinks bottles.

Amica dishwasher turned out to be faulty on day 1. Service engineer didn't show up on the agreed day, so now i have be to ask for return and refund.

Just an update: the metal shelf has started to rust...and still no response to any communication, from Amica's customer support department.

After just a few weeks use of the integrated fridge I can only conclude that it's poorly designed, manufactured and supported. When it arrived, the chassis was out-of-true (it wobbled like a Weeble) and the door hinge caps don't even fit the mechanisms provided. When in use, the fridge shelves are dripping with excess water and need to be dried off every week ie everything removed and the fridge wiped down, no matter what setting. I've sent numerous messages via their support website and have not received any form of response. Based on this experience I will not buy another Amica product.

AVOID! Worst experience I've ever had with a company. I bought a new Amica electric cooker in October and the oven broke only a few months later in April. Since then I've been in contact multiple times and have had multiple cancellations on the day of supposed fixing. When someone finally did come a couple of months later they told me that they didn't have the parts needed to fix the cooker and if they'd been told beforehand and given the parts it would only be a 5/10 min job. Next day an appointment was given for a month after! We're having to buy a new cooker as this will never get solved. I've never complained before but it's been so bad. Horrible company who will never fix under warranty items.

We needed a replacement part for an Amica cooker we had recently bought. Although it took a little while to get through (approx 30 mins), I eventually spoke to a lovely, very helpful lady called Deborah Gregory who from start to finish was polite, professional, and extremely helpful. We initially conversed over the telephone and then followed up everything in emails to ensure we were ordering the exact replacement part we needed. We then received confirmation that the part was on its way via DPD. All on the same day and within a very short period of time.

I honestly can’t fault the service received and I would hang on those phone lines, patience is a virtue!

I have limited height for an upright freezer and the Amica FZ206.3 was the only one available when I needed a replacement.
From the start it iced up very quickly and needed fairly frequent defrosting and the motor could be heard running a lot of the time.
Worst of all it has only lasted just 4 years which I feel is very poor, thankfully I have found a Hotpoint to replace it - more expensive but hopefully more reliable and better quality.

Cannot get through to customer service on the phone. Their contact us form on their website does not work. Sent an email and the response was I may get a reply in 18 days if I am lucky. Not good enough when you need to get a replacement of a faulty part and cannot use one if their products because of it. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Other companies have managed to operate normally in lockdown it seems that Amica are not up to the challenge and as a result their customers suffer.

Got this machine recently and it's AMAZING.
I mean in every way! It makes your towels fluffier, makes little sound - and the big bonus is that it warms the house! We leave internal doors open when it's operating and it warms practically the whole house. It doesn't make the place damp either because the water is collected in the condenser tray, which can be emptied. I am sure this will keep our Winter bills down this year....

Just spoken to Sam ,who helped me order a spare part for my amica fridge.He gave me amazing & friendly personal customer service,which is brilliant in these difficult times(covid 19).He went out of his way to help ,I would highly recommend this company & Sam ,we will always buy from Amica .

Amica AFC5550WH 50 cm Electric Ceramic Cooker

This small electric cooker is smart and very functional. The ceramic hob element ( made by Schott) makes efficient use of space with two small and two large heating areas. The control knobs are on the front just below the ceramic hob and the indicators of which knob controls which item is on the vertical face. That is not easy to see unless one bends down. Below the knobs is a heat deflector insert that runs right across the cooker to protect the knobs from heat from the grill. A useful upgrade will be to copy the element identification marks onto the deflector.

The control knobs for the hob have six division marked dot, 1, dot, 2, dot, 3 rather than 1 to 6. Functionality is good with ½ and 1 being good for a low simmer while 2 ½ and 3 give serious heat for quick boiling.

The top oven or grill has a bottom hinged door with a glass panel. There is also a light which illuminates when the top oven/grill knob is turned on. The light is an excellent addition. The space is heated by a single heating element that doubles as a grill heater. The Handbook suggests that the dial should be set to maximum for grilling but we found fish easily grills at 1/3 to ½ of the maximum setting. The knob is marked up in degrees with a 10 degree interval. The grill tray is large, filling the whole space, but lacks a handle making its removal when hot a hazardous business.

The bottom oven feels very low down. It is a fan oven and comes with two shelves, but the shelf width is the same as in the top oven which means that the grill tray could be pressed into use if required. Although only rated at A, the amount of heat ‘leaking’ from the bottom oven into the top oven space is small. Thus it looks as if the bottom oven insulation is good. The door is rather ‘sloppily’ hung and needs a little lift to close but closes very securely.

The bottom oven knob is marked in 10 degree intervals and is about 5 degrees optimistic. The thermostat is a bit ‘slow’ in reacting so the temperature tends to rise over the target and fall below the target by a visible amount before the element is turned on or off (in oven thermometers tests). When the oven heats to temperature there is no audible signal to indicate that it has reached the required heat. The indicator lights on the front panel are not particularly visible.

When the oven is in use the eliptical void behind the Schott hob vents steam from the heated oven space.

In the middle of the knobs on the front of the cooker is the digital display whose default is the clock. The three buttons underneath allow for selecting the interval timer and the oven timer. The interval timer does not ‘remain on top’ during the interval timed but is replaced by the clock. A very small indicator symbol is added to the display to show that the timer is active. The oven timer has not been tested yet.

In conclusion I would say that this is a competent device that should produce some good food in patient hands. There are a number of small items that the maker could upgrade to turn this into an excellent machine.
