This was a very well organized adventure along the inka trail for 5D/4N. The porters were very friendly and professional. Excellent meals were provided by “don Pedro”, and I am still amazed by how he was able to provide so much variety on the side of a mountain for 4 days. Alex, our guide, was the just the best! He was sm excellent guide, but even better person - so kind, and went above and beyond at every corner.

I did the five day four night expedition with Alpaca and it was a life changing experience to say the least. The crew all played a huge role in this experience the porters, chef Pedro, and our tour guide Alex all made it an unforgettable experience. When our bodies were weak and tired the crew cheered us on, Pedro fed us the most delicious nourishing food and Alex was in our ear telling us we could do it, anything is possible and he believed in us. Alex also kept us all smiling and made sure every need was cared for, from a stomach ache, altitude acclimation, and sore knees; he was right there with a solution and letting you know it was going to be ok. Although the whole staff was incredible I know I couldn’t have done it without Alex, he is a true gem. But every single one of the staff members had moments where their kindness stood out, from carrying an extra bag to just walking along with us to cheer us on. Could not have asked for a better group to be with.

This was incredible experience! It was one of the most challenging and yet most rewarding experience of my life. We were a group of 4 people of varying abilities and did the 5 day 4 night trek for a little more time to enjoy the trail and the sights; but it was still very physically demanding. Alex was our guide and he was so kind and patient and able to flex to the different needs of our group day to day. He is super knowledgeable and helpful and I recommend him to anyone going on this experience! Also the porters that carry all the equipment were such a hardworking and kind group of people it was really heartwarming to witness their comraderie and hospitality in action. Our Chef Pedro was incredible his cooking was better than many of the meals I had in local restaurants, made with fresh ingredients while you eat with a gorgeous view on the side of the mountain. I will never forget this experience it was amazing.

Just finished the 5 day / 4 night Inca Trail and it exceeded every expectation. Our guide Alex was incredible—knowledgeable, encouraging, and made the whole journey unforgettable. Pedro was hands down the best chef; I still can’t believe the meals he created on the trail. And the porters were absolutely amazing—their strength, kindness, and hard work represented the company so well. This was an unforgettable experience from start to finish, and I’d recommend this team to anyone doing the Inca Trail.

Walter is truly one of a kind. Very knowledgeable and he sincerely cares about what he's teaching about the Incan history. Walter made my excursion memorable and a truly once in a lifetime experience. Book Alpaca Expeditions and travel with confidence and ask for Walter to guide you. We had amazing two days with Walter. He knows so much about history and the cites we visited. We loved how organized everything was and will be recommending Alpaca Expeditions to our friends.

This has been on the bucket list for long time and from start to finish, the communication, support and service from the team has been amazing.
The super porters are truly inspirational, with our guide Eriko educating us and brought the Inca culture to life. Not forgetting the a chefs and what they can produce on the side of a mountain… amazing!!!!

We could tell Victor S. put so much love and care into what he does every day. We felt well supported and guided by Victor. We loved his personality, outlook on life and sense of humour - definitely made the tougher days that little bit easier! We learnt so much from Victor and have left with a once in a lifetime experience and plenty of memories. The hard work of our chef Fabian, and sous chef Jose Alfredo, didn’t go unnoticed and we were provided with a proper taste of traditional Peruvian food after a long day hiking! It was absolutely delicious and we looked forward to what they were cooking up each day! Overall Alpaca Expeditions was a great company to do the Salkantay trek with and would highly recommend to anyone considering the trek!

Don Americo & His team were great throughout the whole trip nothing but gratitude and respect for the handwork these Men have done and their incredible dedication and commitment to our Adventure. If i were to come back i’d request them by name. 10/10 service

The 4 day hike on the Incan trail to Machu Picchu was absolutely incredible especially with Alpaca Expeditions which a travel agent recommended to me as the best tour group in Peru for this experience. Our guide, Americo, was knowledgeable, and kept us laughing and inspired with the history and culture of Peruvians and Incans! Our group was so fortunate to have him as a guide as well as the most awe inspiring group of porters who every single day set up our campsite, kept it clean, and made us the most exquisite food with a big smile. Btw the food shocked me because for camping, this was a 5 star dining experience and they even were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions while still keeping me well fed. We even had cake on the last day! Overall I’m so grateful for this experience and one review doesn’t really capture the magic of the trail, our porters and guide, and the experience. You will be physically challenged, but you will also be rewarded for that ❤️

This was an amazing experience and alpaca expedition have the best and knowledgeable guides when it comes to the trail and its history. Especially Américo, he is passionate about what he does and hopefully you’re lucky to have him as your guide. The porters were also all incredible and hard working, without them our experience wouldn’t have been possible.

Richard and Abel did a fantastic job. They made our two days in Machu Pichu an unforgettable experience. Richard especially was our 'personal' guide since we were trailing the rest of the group and he made sure we didn't miss out on the experiencia. Excellent job!!!!

Wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone. We were a bit slow on the Inca Trail, but Richard stayed behind with us, talked with us, made us laugh, showed us the different flowers and plants, and educated us on all things Inca along the way. He was very patient and motivating the entire time. Once in a lifetime experience, and Richard made it all the better. Thank you!

Anniversary Adventure with Alpaca Expeditions

Our family’s journey through Peru with Alpaca Expeditions was nothing short of unforgettable. From the very beginning, the service was exceptional every detail was thoughtfully handled, making our 31st anniversary celebration truly special.

The tour guides, Americo and Abrahim, were outstanding. Their knowledge, warmth, and enthusiasm brought the landscapes and history of Peru to life, and they made sure every member of our group felt included and cared for.

The food was another highlight. The chef went above and beyond, preparing delicious meals that accommodated both vegetarian preferences and food allergies. It was impressive to see such care taken in the middle of our adventure, and it made the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, the combination of breathtaking scenery, attentive service, and the camaraderie of our group made this one of the best trips we’ve ever had. It was a perfect way to celebrate a milestone anniversary, and we’ll always treasure the memories created with Alpaca Expeditions, Americo, and Abrahim.
Especially Americo was an excellent guide.

My husband and I just had a fantastic experience hiking the classic Inca trail with Alpaca expeditions. Our guides Americo and Abrahim were friendly, helpful, supportive and knowledgeable. The campsites were clean and pleasant and the toilet tent was a big benefit! The warm water to wash yourself every morning and evening helped make us feel much more refreshed. The porters are the true heroes carrying everything for us every day I am in awe of them. The chef and food were amazing throughout, loads of variety and catering for all the needs of the group. Overall an amazing experience that I can't recommend enough.

Incredible experience, one of the best things I’ve ever done. Americano and Abraham were great guides, very attentive and taught us a lot of interesting things about this history of the sites we visited, and indigenous culture. The food was amazing and the organisation of the porters made the trip possible. We had a great group of people to share the trip with, with groups of people of all ages, countries.
