Great advice and experienceBooking a safari trip can be an…
Booking a safari trip can be an incredibly complex process for a first timer. I came across ABS during an internet search and subsequent YouTube research.
Reasonably reassured I made contact with them via email but it wasn’t until I had direct contact with Claire that I felt confident enough to put my money where my mouth was. I had numerous discussions with her and was never left feeling like the idiot I am. She listened to all of my concerns and requirements and was able to give excellent advice and options - she was just so reassuring. Her communication was just excellent.
Our 8 day trip incorporated Tsavo West, Amboseli, Nakuru and the Maasi Mara. All different in their own way. All lodges selected were great and matched perfectly with our requirements.
Our driver / guide was Lawince. He was a really safe and considerate driver and really knowledgeable guide. He seemed to have great contacts in all the parks which enabled us to take full advantage of sightings and kills before any crowds got to them.
Claire suggested a fantastic boutique hotel in Diani to recuperate after a busy tiring 8 days. It was a perfect choice and we had such a great time there.
In all I couldn’t recommend ABS and Claire specifically enough.

Oh, Andy and Sadie this means the world to me, WOW, what wonderful words, I so appreciate each and every one of them. Thank you. It was more than an honour to help plan your Kenyan Safari Adventure and to ensure you left a little piece of your heart in the wild plains of Africa. For me the most fulfilling feeling is knowing that I got to share this magic with you and I must warn you, it does tend to draw you back for more. I am so grateful for our knowledgeable crew on the ground, with whom we've built strong and lasting relationships. They are the ones who so expertly share the magic of Africa with our guests, and I couldn't do what I do without them. Sending you warm wishes and hope to see you back for more 😉 Claire & the ABS Team
8 day Botswana Safari
I cannot recommend Daniel from African Budget Safaris highly enough, and the company itself. Daniel responded quickly to my queries and offered solutions, and I was very impressed with the wide range of safaris on offer. My husband and I did the 8 day Botswana Safari and the whole trip flowed seamlessly from start to finish. I will definitely be using them again.

Unforgettable 11-Day Journey Across Namibia
Bronwyn organized an outstanding 11-day trip across Namibia for us. Everything was exceptionally well planned, with carefully selected lodges that offered comfort and excellent locations throughout the journey. We were accompanied by a highly experienced guide (Ewald) who ensured that every aspect of the itinerary was carried out smoothly and exactly as planned. The organization, attention to detail, and professionalism made this an unforgettable experience.

What a privilege it was to plan a trip to Namibia for you and your group Carla.
For many it was the first time to Africa and of course, stunning Namibia did not disappoint.
I am so pleased that everything worked out perfectly for you, every lodge and transfer, every game drive and excursion and even every Sunrise and Sunset.
The animals also came to visit and your excellent guide was the cherry on top.
I KNOW we will have many more visits to this magical continent and cannot wait to work with you again.
Until next time, Bronwyn and ABS.
I can't say enough good things about…
I can't say enough good things about this company. They provided us with an African safari that we will never forget and at a cost much less than that of some of our friends who paid much more with other providers. Our advisor, Claire Monson excelled at understanding our desires and fulfilling them. She picked just the right camps for us and maximized our time doing the things that we wanted. Our itinerary was complex and yet Claire plotted it out so that it was the most efficient and productive use of our time. And there was never a glitch in our journey. Everyone was on time and in the right place. That does not happen by chance, but by careful planning. The camps Claire chose were great. The staff were welcoming, attentive and cheerful The accommodations were top notch and the food was superb. Claire kept in touch throughout the journey to ensure that nothing would go wrong.
We saw all of the animals that were on our list. And did not even mind the "African massage" that we got on our game drives.
This is an amazing company. Book with them!

TransKalahari Adventure-Northbound
This is the second time we have used ABS. The trip we chose this time was the TransKalahari Adventure-Northbound. The company who ran the tour was Kiboko and the driver/guide was Misheck. The travel agent who organised the tour for us from ABS was Bronwyn. We couldn't fault anything or anyone. This is the second time we have had Bronwyn help us with African adventures. The first time was right at the start of covid, all money had been paid. During uncertain times I still kept in touch with Bronwyn. We were fortunate enough to be able to take the delayed trip in 2023. ABS really looked after us and saw that we were able to still do our delayed holiday. I can't speak highly enough of Bronwyn she has always replied to my emails and answered many questions I have asked her very promptly. We have recommended ABS and Bronwyn to our family and friends. I wouldn't hesitate to book another adventure with them.

Complete experience with great service
My husband and I booked a 7 day Botswana Safari including stays in Khwai (Okavango Delta) and Chobe. Bronwyn was our consultant and I was very pleased with the service we received as well as the quality of the safari experience. Our package used Bush Ways lodges for stays at Khwai Guest House and Chobe Elephant Camp. All meals and game drives were included as was a bush flight between Khwai and Kasane with Mack Air. I can't say enough about how wonderful the overall experience was. Our guides - Stan in the Delta and Kevin in Chobe were both excellent. They both gave us one-of-a-kind experiences including finding leopards and lions in both areas (a full lion pride in the Delta and a lion with a fresh kill in Chobe). Bronwyn also arranged for our transfer from Kasane to Victoria Falls which was very much appreciated. Overall we had an amazing experience without breaking the bank. I would definitely recommend African Budget Safaris and will be booking with them again in the future.

Perfect service, super!
Everything about the trip was truly excellent. The itinerary was perfectly designed, and the lodges and camps were all high quality, even better than we had expected (expecially Enkorok Mara Camp). The tour was very well organized from start to finish, and the local operator, Asili, did an outstanding job.
We were lucky enough to see an incredible variety of wildlife, essentially every type of animal we had hoped to encounter on safari, and we were genuinely amazed by the entire experience.

Wonderful Kenyan Safari Experience
This is the 2nd time we have used African Budget Safari's, first time was in 2018 to Namibia. We were so pleased with the arrangements for that safari so we had no hesitation in using them again.
Right from the first enquiry Harriet responded very quickly to our emails. We had lots of questions and these were all answered promptly and patiently! The arrangements for the safari were very detailed, the lodges used were comfortable and our driver/guide was the best! We felt very well looked after and safe. Being older travellers this was important to us.
We have no hesitation in recommending ABS and look forward to using them again

January / February are great months to travel in East Africa and especially the Serengeti with calving season in full swing.

Makes for exceptional wildlife viewing. I am so pleased you loved it.

Africa on foot
I made a booking with Bronwyn. I told her that I’m a solo traveller looking for a week long Safari in Kruger Park she recommended the five day hiking Safari to me which consisted of having a morning walk in the bush and a game drive at night at the Africa on foot Lodge my experience was wonderful. I’ve had the best guides I could ever imagine and I would do this trip all over again in a second. the lodge itself is very beautiful - consisted of two pools great food and a very beautiful bungalow to rest between the game drives. the maximum of people is was three and I even got a private tour of the day I left. all in all it was 10 out of 10 experience.

This was the perfect way to end off a long year.
