Please please do not buy a car from these! This has by far the worst experience I’ve ever had trying to get a refund or car fixed. You will be ignored, spoke to like your stupid, accused of doing things to the car to void the warranty, these are just a little bit of what I’m currently battling. There are hundreds of people that have had exactly the same and are still trying to get there money back! He will drag things on until warranty runs out then you end up paying thousands on repairs for a car that’s not fit for purpose 😡

I purchased a Kia Sportage from Affordable Car Centre in October 2025. Within 17 days the oil warning light came on and the dipstick was completely empty. An independent mechanic confirmed multiple engine oil leaks and recommended further investigation to identify all leak locations.

I contacted the dealer who carried out a repair. Within a week of getting the vehicle back the engine was losing oil again — two litres in the following month. A second independent inspection confirmed the engine was still leaking. When I requested repair documentation at collection I was told "no paperwork is necessary." The repair invoice eventually produced through formal mediation was dated ten days before I contacted the dealer, ten days before the vehicle was in their possession, and thirteen days before I collected it. Make of that what you will.

The dealer's defence was that the repair had succeeded and any ongoing leaks were unrelated. When I provided video evidence of the engine visibly leaking oil after the repair, the response was that "an engine can have numerous potential leak points over time" and that the original leaks "did not reoccur or result in any failure." The video of oil coming out of the engine suggested otherwise.

I should also note that the dealer's sales invoice recorded the mileage as "100,000." Their own service receipt from five days before the sale recorded it as 103,172. A discrepancy of over 3,000 miles on their own documentation.

Resolving this required: a formal complaint through the AA, HMCTS small claims mediation, filing a County Court claim, months of correspondence that was repeatedly ignored, formal legal letters setting out my position under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, submission of a full evidence bundle to the court, and the threat of a hearing. Throughout this process the dealer offered various amounts well below the purchase price at mediation before eventually agreeing to settle at a figure closer to (but not at) the full amount — nearly a year after purchase.

Despite eventually agreeing to settle, the dealer then failed to collect the vehicle for 47 days after payment. The dealer also claimed that a standard Kia Sportage SUV was too heavy for a standard recovery truck and required specialist collection — a claim that is simply not true.

I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Affordable Car Centre, I would strongly suggest reading this review carefully before doing so.

My Partner bought her Range Rover from there in December. This car has been a nightmare from Day 1

The CHECK COOLANT light illuminated with in an hour of driving the car so I brought it back. They were quite dismissive at first just topping up the coolant and the light went off. I drove with half a mile and the light came on again. After really kicking off at them they realized that the intercooler was gone so they changed it.

6 Months later we heard a rattling noise from the engine when we start it from cold and we had it diagnosed by a Landover specialist and now have been told the the car has a timing chain issue and needs to be replaced which left us in total shock when they advertised and gave us paperwork stating it had a new timing chain done.

I'm going all the way on this though consumer rights and trading standards to get them shut down

My experience with this dealership has been one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I’ve had buying a car.

The vehicle I purchased was faulty from the start. After giving the dealership the opportunity to repair it, I travelled approximately 400 km to collect it after i was toldit was ready for collection only to find the same faults were still present. I was then given a replacement vehicle, which also developed faults within less than 5 km. I was sent to another location for another replacement, but the same transmission fault reappeared after less than 3 km.
Each time I was given a different vehicle, I had to arrange new insurance, pay road tax, and pay insurance administration fees, resulting in significant additional costs.

The final straw was the courtesy car. I was told everything was in order and that it was fine to drive. However, I later discovered it did not have valid insurance or road tax. I had already driven the vehicle believing it was legally compliant. I also found that its MOT was due to expire shortly, leaving me unable to use it for work or return it without concerns about driving a vehicle that was not road legal.

The dealership then demanded that I return the courtesy car, even though I believed it did not have valid insurance, road tax or an MOT. When I refused to drive what I believed was a vehicle that was not legally compliant, they started threatening to report it as stolen. I found this intimidating and completely unacceptable, especially as I had repeatedly asked them to arrange collection instead.

What made the whole experience even worse was the level of customer service. In my experience, the staff were very unprofessional. It was extremely difficult to speak to anyone because they always seemed to be on phone calls, and I constantly had to chase them for updates and attention.
When one of the mechanics identified a problem with the vehicle, they did not explain what the fault was to me. Instead, they started speaking among themselves in their own language, leaving me completely in the dark about the condition of the car.

The so-called manager repeatedly pressured me to accept a vehicle that was displaying a transmission fault warning, insisting that “it’s your car.” Even after I exercised my right to reject the vehicle, he continued trying to force me to accept it. At one stage, he even said he would leave the car outside my house and post the keys through my letterbox despite me making it clear that I did not want to accept it.
Throughout the process, I found myself constantly chasing the dealership for written confirmation of insurance, road tax, and MOT arrangements instead of these being provided before any vehicle was handed over.

At the time of writing, my complaint still has not been resolved

I was searching to buy 1 ltr audi A3 in white which facelift model under my budget last 6 months.

Sold a car with 1 month MOT yet paperwork said 9 months. Fraud.
Sold a car with no valid service check in the last year, especially since it had another owner since the previous service.
Sold a car as 3 owners, actually had 5.
Gained 4,000 miles while sitting on their lot over 11 months.
Sold a car without a working oil light notification. Sold a car with almost no oil in.
Happy to ignore all communication.

What should have been an exciting experience buying a 2019 Mercedes A-Class quickly turned into an ongoing nightmare. Within days of collecting the car, coolant warning lights started appearing repeatedly. I returned the vehicle to the dealership for repair and they kept it for around three weeks, only to return it with the exact same fault still present.

Communication throughout was extremely poor. I constantly had to chase updates myself, was given inconsistent explanations, and staff were rude and dismissive whenever I tried to get answers. At no point did I feel like they genuinely cared about resolving the issue properly.

After losing confidence completely, I had the car independently inspected by a mechanic who identified multiple concerning issues including loose components, poor workmanship, non-OEM sealant on engine parts, coolant system problems, electrical faults, and signs that previous repair work may not have been carried out to a proper standard.

For a relatively modern vehicle sold by a dealership, the condition of the car and the way this situation has been handled has been completely unacceptable.

Please do your research carefully before buying from this dealership as seems this is a reoccurrence and after the worst couple months the stress from the situation has physically made me unwell.

Trading standards have been informed.

Recently purchased a van from these and issues within a week, van now returned via finance company and there refusing to refund, debt collection now involved please buy elsewhere

I would not recommend Affordable Car Centre based on my experience.

After buying a car from them, it broke down twice on the motorway with the engine management light coming on. Both times, the vehicle had to be recovered, causing a great deal of stress and inconvenience.

The clutch has also failed, and I've experienced problems with the brakes. The total cost of repairs has now exceeded £4,000.

What has been most disappointing is that, despite these serious issues occurring after only around 500 miles of driving, the dealer has claimed they are simply "wear and tear" and has refused to take responsibility.

I expected a car to be safe, reliable, and roadworthy when I bought it. Instead, I've been left with expensive repair bills and a very frustrating experience. I would encourage anyone considering buying from Affordable Car Centre to do their research before making a purchase.

They have multiple fake reviews on there google page putting them at 4 starts if i did my due diligence and check trust piolt this would have shown there true colours as they are at 2.2 start
