Acko is not a good company. It will always give false judgements about your case and never gives your genuine claims. This company provides insurances at low prices just because they know that they will avoud claims.

I HAD PURCHASED A TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM ACKO. MY CHECKED IN BAGGAGE WAS DELAYED BY 3 DAYS AND I HAD CLAIMED FOR DELAY IN CHECKED IN BAGGAGE. AS PER THE POLICY LETTER SHARED WITH ME IT WAS JUST MENTIONED THAT " WE REIMBURSE UPTO RS 5000 FOR DELAY BEYOND FOUR HOURS'. ONCE I INITIATED THE CLAIM THEY ASKED NUMEROUS DOCUMENTS AND WERE HELL BEND TO UPLOAD AN EXPENSE INVOICE. LATER THEY REJECTED THE CLAIM STATING THAT GST NUMBER OF THE BILL DOESNT MATCHES WITH THE LINE OF BUSINESS. HOW WOULD A CUSTOMER CHECK THAT THE GST NUMBER ON THE BILL RECEIVED IS REGISTERED UNDER WHICH BUSINESS. MY SUGGESTION IS AVOID ACKO.

“Extremely disappointed with Acko Health Insurance. Despite providing all valid medical documents including a biopsy report, my hospitalization claim was rejected citing vague ‘waiting period’ reasons — without clearly listing the illness or showing where it is excluded in the policy.
There has been a clear lack of empathy and transparency in the claim settlement process. Insurance is meant to support policyholders in tough times — not abandon them due to technicalities.
Would NOT recommend Acko to anyone looking for reliable health coverage. I am now forced to escalate the matter to IRDAI and the Insurance Ombudsman.”

I’m writing this review to warn fellow car owners about the deceptive practices being followed by Acko General Insurance.
Acko is misleading customers by showing a 50% No Claim Bonus (NCB) for a 3-year-old car—which is factually incorrect as per standard insurance norms. This false display of NCB tricks customers into thinking they’re getting a lower premium. But in reality, it’s a fraudulent practice that can lead to serious legal issues during claim settlements.
I brought this issue to Acko's attention, shared proof with screenshots, and even explained the bug in their system to their customer service executive. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or showing any gratitude, the representative was rude, dismissive, and outright unhelpful.
I have now raised this matter with IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) because such tactics are not just unethical—they're dangerous. Misleading NCB figures to lure innocent customers is nothing short of a scam.
If you’re considering Acko for your insurance needs, think twice. A company that relies on misinformation and arrogance is a risk you don’t want to take.

The recent experience was worst. I have registered the claim. Initially the acko person started the smooth communication and started some online procedures. After that they started telling many unknown rules which is not at all mentioned in the policy and avoid the claim. Finally rejected the claim giving random reasons. Acko has many hiden rules which is not be executed during the new policy registration. They mentions attractive contents in the policy and they make us do the policy. At the time of claim they give many unknown reasons and rejects claim. Dear owners don't attract to the content, experience it.

I lodged a claim against outage /problem of my car engine on 19th April 2025 as my car met an accident on 19.04.2025.
However Acko did not honour my legitimate claim and is not reimbursing the repair cost by taking unilateral decision of their own that car did not meet any accident .
As you can understand by taking some one sided decision of ACKO ,they are victimising thousands of innocent customers like me.

I have a Car Insurance Policy with ACKO…
I have a Car Insurance Policy with ACKO General Insurance. This policy got expired on April 2024.
Unfortunately, there was no intimation on the expiry date and no follow up done nor any mail sent to me before the expiry from your end to renew the policy.
Hence, I lost track and it was not renewed.
Since, we had lapsed 90 days after expiry I lost NCB of 50% and now had to renew it by paying 19K extra premium. One single phone call if they had reminded I could have saved addln. 19K.
Acko has a very good App and good marketing. But after 1st sale they don't bother to inform you about the expiry too. Claim process is also very bad. Don't buy becoz of their Ad. Better to go with nationalized companies.

Acko - Absolutely useless company
Acko has a nicely designed app and a very responsive team when you want to purchase a policy. The policy also is cheaper than competitive brands but you will learn why it is cheap when you try and make a claim. Acko claims process is awful and they use bureaucracy and weird rules to avoid paying out the claims in full. Don't go for the clever marketing and end up learning an expensive lesson.

I recently purchased car insurance from Acko Insurance on June 18, 2023, at 4:30 PM, and I must say I'm deeply disappointed with the entire experience. The initial transaction appeared to be straightforward, with a quoted price of Rs. 15,430.97 for a Zero Depreciation insurance policy. The company's representative, Mr. Aniket Patil, assured me that this was the total cost, and no additional charges would apply.
However, my trust in their services was completely shattered when I needed to file a claim for a broken car mirror on November 2, 2023. To my shock, the insurance company insisted on an extra payment of Rs. 6,000, conveniently labeling it as a "voluntary payment." This hidden fee was never disclosed during the insurance purchase, leaving me feeling deceived and taken advantage of.
What's even more frustrating is that I could have fixed the car mirror for a mere Rs. 4,000 if I had chosen to do it myself. It's evident that the additional charge is entirely unjustified and nothing short of a blatant rip-off.
I am sharing this review not just to vent my own frustrations but to alert potential customers about the unethical practices of Acko Insurance. They engage in practices that are unfair, lack transparency, and ultimately harm consumers. This is a matter that needs immediate attention and intervention to safeguard the rights and interests of insurance buyers.
I implore others to be cautious when dealing with this company and urge relevant authorities to investigate and address these deceptive practices in the insurance industry. My experience has been nothing short of a disheartening example of how some businesses prioritize their profits over their customers' trust and well-being.

My car insurance was renewed in aug 2023, I had claimed an accident in May 2023 for which they paid me 10k which was less than the actual repair cost but I accepted because I could get it done with my own mechanic, after renewing the premium in aug 2023 my car had an accident and similar damage was caused, they rejected my claim saying that it is a repeat claim of May 2023! Their agent was not at all customer friendly, they wanted to say that I have claimed again for fun, I don't know who will damage his car for fun. These guys give premium at lower cost to attract customers and then don't process the claims. They will do anything to save their margins.

Tricky Policy and Call Center will smartly Trap you and Delay / Deny Benefits
My Car met with an accident and I called ACKO after receiving the CSR certificate 2 days Later. They sent a Surveyor on 3rd Day and surveyed the vehicle and the call center asked whether I had a preferred workshop or they could do in their garage. I told them I give it regularly at a Garage and I can send it there. They asked me to give the Garage Manager's number once dropped and estimation is available from the garage.
After the estimation is provided, Acko wanted to do additional investigation with one more surveyor now and started to delay the approval to start work. Meanwhile, after several days I contacted them for the voucher and they told that as the vehicle is serviced in your preferred garage the voucher is not applicable. Something the Acko people never informed me when they asked me for preference plus they kept delaying as they don't have any impact on delays in completing works.
Even in acko policy printout this cannot be found as there is a ** which goes to below line which says "**Cab vouchers available in the cities mentioned above. Please refer the Terms & Conditions for more details". Terms and condition have these tricky lines.
I feel it was a very tricky plot in the insurance policy document and SOP given to the call center agents to trap the customer to send it to their garage and deny cab vouchers though they delay it from their end.
TO AVOID - Tell Acko to take which ever garage they have tied up with and give the car back in good condition and get your vouchers. Dont fall trap to the policy and call center person.
