Word Tonic is an amazing place of like-minded people to help boost skills- I am a total beginner at copywriting and I've gained so many skills and feedback on my writing already, and I've only been a member for like, 2 months!!
Masterclasses are super insightful and helped me get started writing spec work, improving my LinkedIn, etc.

WordTonic is a wonderfully warm community filled with tons of resources and guidance to help support aspiring writers on their copywriting journey. Just the monthly global writing challenges (with huge brands like Puma, Canva, Virgin Atlantic, UNIQLO etc) already make the subscription 100% worth it, let alone all the weekly briefs to help build your portfolio, the feedback channels, masterclasses and so much more. What makes it even better in my opinion is the warmth and community - all members are Gen Z, so friendly and ready to help. I thoroughly recommend it!

Word Tonic (and Carolyn) are proactive, friendly, creative and so encouraging. Sometimes you need a positive voice to give you some feedback, sometimes you need a full blown masterclass - they have BOTH! And loads more. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Word Tonic is an incredible community of like-minded people, run by a lovely Gen Z woman herself, it's incredibly affordable for my budget (and I have a bog standard weekend job) and it is well worth the money! I have been a part of WT for two months now and have already found some amazing people I am going to collaborate with on some projects. Word Tonic is perfect for anyone interested in copywriting (whether you're a total newbie or have some experience) and is an amazing and supportive community!

It works well if you like using discord but honestly it’s mostly a group chat with links and more courses to pay for. The introductory meeting is a bit misleading because we are mostly talking about one persons career and what copywriting is and it’s unclear what you get from it. I downloaded discord for this and I didn’t find it worth it. It was hard to cancel as the introductory email gets buried. This platform could work if you spend time on it but honestly it is not my recommendation. If you want a community for copywriting then this is stellar. Everyone is nice and helpful.

Word Tonic is a lovely community, and a great opportunity to meet/network with and indeed, work with, other copywriters!

Absolutely adore Word Tonic! Always had a passion for writing but never knew that it could turn into a dream career for me until I joined WT. It's jam-packed with resources, masterclasses, briefs and lovely people from different walks of life.

Word Tonic 3 month course has been so helpful to me starting out as a copywriter. The discord community you get to join is full of such lovely people. It has been so fun getting to know so many people. Carolyn and the rest of the Word Tonic team are always on hand to give advice.

I joined WordTonic in February after seeing totally unhinged and chaotic ads on Instagram for a good month prior.

My first impression was that I had just entered a space of the most unhinged, balls to the walls, lovely, and creative people imaginable.

From the get go, everybody was incredibly welcoming and took a genuine interest in what I enjoy about writing. It’s clear to me that there is a space for basically every writing niche imaginable within the community.

WordTonic has a lot to offer to copywriters at every stage of their career. From masterclasses with huge companies like Disney, IKEA, and UNIQLO, to advice on crafting your own portfolio and networking on the absolute hell website that is LinkedIN, you are being set up for success from the very start of your WordTonic journey.

I’m personally looking forward to sinking my teeth into the weekly briefs that allow you to really stretch your creativity and writing skills to the limit, all while creating some sexy work for your writing portfolio!

What I love about the Word Tonic community is the FOMO whenever I don't participate in something. I want to do it all!!!
You get the most value if you actively participate; in the masterclasses, weekly copywriting briefs, creative writing anthology, etc. etc...
The shared opportunities are most relevant for UK and US people, but the community still helped me develop my skills to take on the field in my own country!

I've been a member of the Word Tonic community for about 6 months now, and I think it's a great opportunity for Gen Z at any stage in their copywriting journey! There is truly something here for everyone, from total newbies to established professionals. The course itself is a great intro to fledgling writers looking to specialize and take some extra time to practice and hone their craft. Briefs and challenges in the community Discord server also provide opportunities for new writers to build out a portfolio and begin seeking work. The community is supportive and members are there to give you feedback on your work, body double in a video call, or post new job listings. If you want to succeed, you still need to put in the work on your end... but it's always helpful to have a team of cheerleaders behind you celebrating your wins and picking you up after any setbacks. The online community is also a space to chat and unwind, so while it's a professional community they do give you an opportunity to pull some walls down and be human. I also really enjoy their masterclasses and seminars which show the breadth of the copywriting world, and feel encouraging for writers looking to work in any field. If you're under the age of 30 looking to break into copywriting, or you're an established writer (like me!) looking for a daily support network as you work, check Word Tonic out!

I've seen this community flourish over the years and I'm quite proud of how it has grown. If you're a young person who wants a writing job, this is the place to start!

I’ve been able to find a warm sense of community of other creative Gen Z writers. Carolyn has made such an inclusive group, something I love about Word Tonic is how ready anyone online is to offer support and guidance. With the many channels to choose from there’s always a time to be had. 10/10

Word Tonic is a great Gen-Z led community and offers many resources for new and current copywriting professionals, from masterclasses to a 24/7 community, to briefs and/or competitions that are great for upskilling and a great course too! I joined in November 2025 to upskill and I am grateful for the chance to network with other copywriting professionals and improve my skills.

Word Tonic are a fantastic, Gen-Z led community that offer a variety of fab resources - from masterclasses to a 24/7 community of copywriting professionals to briefs/competitions that are great for upskilling (as well as a great course!). I joined in November 2024 after finishing Spanish and English Lit at uni and being unsure of what I wanted to do post-uni.

Fast forward to now, and I’m in a job I absolutely adore (as a Content Writer for a personal branding agency) & without Word Tonic, I never would’ve gotten here. I couldn’t recommend them more🥰

Joining Word Tonic was, without a doubt, the main catalyst for me becoming a freelance copywriter. I signed up to test the waters, figuring that I'd dip if it wasn't worth it or I didn't enjoy writing copy.

100% the best thing I could have done for my career at that time. I was a total newbie (no English degrees here) but studying the past masterclasses gave me a really solid springboard to develop my knowledge, and I picked up the course to take that further.

3 months after joining my first Word Tonic call, I signed my first client as a freelance copywriter. I've now been in business for 5 months, worked with multiple clients, developed great relationships with other Gen-Z creatives and found great opportunities through masterclass speakers and the "opportunities" channel in the server.

Overall, it's been a great place to find my feet as a copywriter, get feedback on my spec work, find new opportunities, and develop my skills.
