WARNING: Woodside Investors (woodsideinvestors.com) — Advance Fee Fraud
We are issuing this warning to protect other small businesses from a predatory scheme currently being operated by Woodside Investors (woodsideinvestors.com).
Our company was targeted after our information was shared without authorization by a lead generator called GreenBridge Capital — a company that sells applicant data to third parties. We strongly advise against sharing any business or financial information with GreenBridge Capital for this reason.
Following that referral, a representative of Woodside Investors identifying himself as David Brundt presented us with a $995,000 Line of Credit agreement. The agreement required us to wire a 4% security deposit to a Chase account held in the name of CREDITPLUS PROCESSING INC, which Woodside Investors designated as an "independent trust." We were told these funds would be returned or applied to our loan balance after four months of good standing.
On May 1, 2026, we were told the line of credit had been funded via ACH. No funds ever arrived. ACH transfers settle within one business day and no later than five. As of today, June 16, 2026 — 46 days later — we have received nothing. During this window, Woodside Investors produced what we believe to be a fraudulent Withdrawal Receipt, purportedly signed by their CEO Robert Hale, purporting to confirm the transfer. We believe this document was generated to delay our bank's ability to act on the wire.
Shortly after, the entire Woodside Investors team — David Brundt, Robert Hale, and Michael Moretti — ceased all communication, refusing to respond to emails or answer phone calls.
We reported the matter to the FTC, the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), the Pennsylvania Attorney General, and the Florida Attorney General. Only after those reports were filed did Woodside Investors resume limited email contact. They have since refused to answer any question regarding the location of our funds or the provenance of the Withdrawal Receipt. They are now demanding we execute an agreement conditioning any refund of the security deposit on the closure of all federal agency reports — and have indicated that "assessed damages" would be deducted from any refund. We have declined. We will not close any reports, and we believe the damages clause is designed to absorb the entirety of the deposit.
This is textbook advance fee fraud. The security deposit demand, the fabricated funding confirmation, the disappearance, and the conditional refund tied to withdrawal of law enforcement complaints are all documented hallmarks of this scheme.
We are pursuing independent legal action and intend to name every party connected to this operation. If your business has had any interaction with Woodside Investors, GreenBridge Capital, CREDITPLUS PROCESSING INC, or any individual named above, we encourage you to file reports with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov and the FBI at ic3.gov immediately.
Do not wire any funds to any account designated by Woodside Investors under any circumstances
