Had a really good experience with Wonderlawn. The team was friendly and did a great job with the installation. The grass looks amazing, and the whole process was smooth and hassle-free. Would definitely recommend them!

From the initial quotation right through to the installation of our beautiful new lawn our experience of Wonderlawn was excellent! At the initial quotation the salesman did his best to meet the price point that was manageable for us whilst ensuring we had a good understanding of the level of work involved and the quality of the materials used. He was able to answer all our questions and give us aftercare advice for maintaining the lawn to a high standard. We were given a rough schedule for when the works would begin and would expect to be completed but were clear that this would be weather dependant. About a month later the work began, transforming what started as a muddy carpet-covered bog into the beautiful lawn it is today! The two men had their work cut out as they unexpectedly had to hand dig the lawn instead of being able to use the turf cutting machinery, trebling the work and time they had anticipated. This was because I had covered the existing lawn in carpet to kill off the grass making it a much harder and more time consuming job. Despite this the two blokes were very friendly and professional. They were extremely hard working and were so patient with my young children who kept banging on the glass to shout to them! The overall finish is exceptional. Seeing how much work was involved during the installation process was eyeopening. My partner and I had done a previous DIY job with turf a few years ago but the level of expertise, work and materials that were used to complete the work was astonishing and not something that we could ever of managed ourselves. The job took two days to complete instead of one day as had been initially believed as the men had to dig the entire garden by hand. However, despite this, the quote we were given was the amount we paid, the company didn't ask for more money for the job over running and the unforeseen extra work required. I can't recommend this company enough. They have been open and upfront with costs involved and we were consulted and given support and advice at every stage. The work itself was completed to an exceptionally high standard and it really has been life changing for our family. We have four young children under 6 (and a dog) and they have played out in the garden daily since the grass was installed. Product is excellent, extremely dog resistant. Well worth the money. Installation was prompt, well finished and everything cleared away. In fact, we were so impressed with the first job they did that we got them back for our other lawn.
Highly recommended.

Fitted in April 2022 I was delighted with the results.
However after just a few months I reported an issue and asked for a service call to rectify the issue.
Numerous phone calls and e-mails resulted only in excuses and broken promises. To date the issue has not been rectified. It's now 16 months later.
Barry please don't reply here defending your position, just fix a date for a visit and sort out the issue. Thank you.

They're very good at the sale, and grass looked good, however it's a bit all down hill from there I'm afraid. They have absolutely no morals when it comes to an after sales service. Very difficult to contact, never reply, fob you off, gonna come, don't turn up blah blah...so here I am 4 months down the line still waiting for someone to fix a fault (which apparently is easy to fix)
Really wish I'd read Trustpilot first I would have avoided like the plague...which you should do too

2/12/24….. 4weeks ago,yet again going to call to fix fault. Guess what…. No show!

AVOID AT ALL COST: We have been trying for nearly 3 years to get our lawn replaced, event though they agreed that it was laid incorrectly. Been given so many excuses by them. Even saying that the fitters were a different company to them and we never paid them for the work. I have an email from them telling me to pay the fitters directly and the order was place with them directly.
Absolute waste of time, we have now resigned ourselves that it will never get done.

I feel it is important to share my experience with Wonderlawn. In September 2022, we had a new lawn installed by a Mr. Dean Fuller from Wonderlawn. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a significant mistake. We paid over £4000 for this artificial lawn, and from the date of installation, it had issues. Mr. Fuller assured us that the problem was related to the pet infill and that it would resolve itself after some heavy rain. Unfortunately, this never happened. After numerous back and forth discussions (and being told that the installer and supplier of the lawn were separate companies). 

After numerous back and forth discussions, blame upon the weather e.t.c. it took 18 months to have a new lawn fitted, which has been the only upside to this whole saga. The service from Mr. Fuller was appalling, and his attitude towards us and our problem was unacceptable. The head office was equally unhelpful and took no responsibility for the issue. Therefore, do not expect any assistance from them. The 10-year guarantee offered is misleading, as in our case, Wonderlawn would not replace the lawn unless the manufacturer agreed there was a fault. Wonderlawn would have had to cover the costs themselves if the replacement was not approved beforehand. The only reason our lawn was replaced was that the manufacturer wanted a sample so that they could discover what was wrong with the lawn and Wonderlawn couldn't leave us with a hole in the lawn.

Despite the stress, anxiety, and inconvenience we endured over the past 18 months, our request for compensation was flatly refused by Wonderlawn .We sought legal advice, and a letter was sent, but again, compensation was denied. In light of this experience, I advise potential customers to be cautious and thoroughly evaluate the company's commitment to their guarantees and customer service, ensuring caution is taken when engaging their services. 

‘Can do’ attitude was refreshing! I asked Wonderlawn to quote for artificial grass on my roof to help dampen down the sound. It was a tricky job as the roof was corrugated metal but Ian and his team were up for the challenge and I am very pleased with the end result. The grass is beautiful and the guys did a very neat and thorough job. 5*!

One word, unprofessional. Filled out an online request form on their webpage for a quote. Over a week later still no response, so phoned and spoke to someone who agreed to come out to give me a quote. Time and day was agreed. No one turned up and no phone call or communication saying they couldn’t make it. Waste of time.
Update: 8/11/22- Finally a response to my review. Unfortunately, an untruthful one with the responder stating that he explained to me “on the phone” that the installer had Covid. I don’t know who he explained to on the phone as there has been zero contact with myself since the original booking by telephone with the local installer, no calls, no texts, nothing. Regardless, I stand by original review and have now booked the job with another company.

I will certainly remove my review if you can first answer the following questions:
1- Why in your initial reply did you state that you had told me that the installer had covid during a telephone conversation (that we never had) if you say you have no details of me on record?

I am quite happy to send you an actual screenshot off my phone showing record of the phone call to number 03337006000 on 17/10/22 at 09-50 lasting 9 minutes during which I requested a quote and was transferred to someone who I remember had an uncommon name, Brett I think but not sure. I again explained to him what I was after, telling him my garden dimensions but also asked if he could come out. I also recall him saying my son had wasted his time digging up the old turf as he was going to quote for a complete job anyway. He asked for my patience as he wasn’t too quick with the computer. He said he would come to my property on Friday 21st after 2pm.
If by chance there is another company pretending to be Wonderlawn or if you are a different Wonderlawn to this website with this telephone number, then yes, I will remove my review. In the meantime please take time to consider that a company consists of a number of employees, some have bad days and lose details, some are not very well organised, some are not very conscientious, but all make up a package that can represent the company, well or badly resulting in potential customers forming opinions which they may express. I know this only too well from my own work experience.

I did not want to write a review until I lived with my lawn for several months. It was installed by the crew from Portsmouth, Ian, The Machine and one other gentleman. I gave them a very irregular lawn to cut and install. And I must say they did a magnificent job! There is one tiny spot which is slightly short into the corner, but probably only I would notice. It looks as good as new 6 months later, you just have to sweep the debris off it and fluff it up a little. Nice job guys!

Wonderlawn, From meeting Barry at the beginning with his full and knowledgeable advice on artificial lawns to paying the bill at the end. This company have being OUTSTANDING!! There work ethic is bar none. My lawn looks amazing, it is the final part to my little part of paradise.

Okay they may not be the cheapest BUT you pay for what you get! and with Wonderlawn you get the VERY BEST!! So therefore it's worth EVERY pound.

On 16 Sept 2020 this company laid a small artificial grass lawn. When Barry came out to survey the garden I had workmen already on site, pin curbs which would surround the lawn were already laid and I also advised the ground where the lawn was to be laid was very thick clay. I was told "not a problem as the hardcore being used would handle the drainage".
A week later we had our first day of heavy rain which left 3 large puddles on the lawn. I emailed Wonderlawn and Barry sent me a reply about drainage rates. I agreed to see how it went over the next few months once the lawn had settled.
22 Jan 2021 I Emailed again and advised water pooling was worse. A few days later Barry replied to say they would need to come out and fit some French drains but needed the weather to improve.
I Emailed again 6 July 2021 asking when they would be coming out. They said they would try to fit me in but it would be last minute.
I Emailed again 7 Sept 2021, was thanked for my patience said it would be sorted within next 2 to 3 weeks come hell of high water was the phrase they used. Nothing AGAIN.
23 Oct 21 I Emailed again as wanted it resolved before winter, no reply.
On 9 Nov 21 Mel (installation director) came out and had a look at the garden. He indicated the pin curbs around the lawn were causing the flooding and said he would come back with a resolution.
30 Nov 21 I still had not heard anything so I Email AGAIN. I was told Mel would have to reply but he was onsite that day.
2 Dec 21 still had not heard anything so I wrote a lengthy Email fully detailing the ongoing issues with no resolution in site.
6 Dec 2021 I received a reply from Mel ............ I would love to add the full Email here but it would exceed the character number allowed for a post ...maybe Wonderlawn could post the whole Email for everyone to see. Here are some of the highlights from that reply ....
.......... As we were not laying the edging, how were we to know that there was no allowance for drainage. Did the company that installed the edging mention this ? The edging has nothing at all to do with Wonderlawn and we would not comment or raise the situation with the other company.
Why do you feel this is Wonderlawns issue ? Why would we be liable for someone else’s work ? We are experts in the area of artificial grass, not drainage. We weren’t asked to comment on the edging in the same way that we don’t comment on paving that customers have installed. If you had new paving installed instead of edging, would you expect Wonderlawn to contact the paving company and explain how to install it ?
We installed our artificial grass correctly and as such it helps drainage as we are removing soil/earth/clay that retains water and replacing it with aggregates that drain much more freely. In your case this cannot happen because the edging you have decided to install is preventing the water from escaping. As I’ve mentioned, it is not Wonderlawns edging and not Wonderlawns job to question customers on their landscaping choices.
It was myself that came to see you and I was involved in the installation. I am not an expert in drainage and had no way of knowing how the edging was fitted. Surely it’s more reasonable to expect customers to do their own research before installing a product. Why would you feel it’s right to expect an artificial grass company to assume that the area was totally enclosed with edging and to then make recommendations about issues we are not involved in ?
As I’ve outlined, we are happy to come back and see were we are with the drainage first. We do not know what impact the constant flooding may have had on the grass, but, as we don’t feel the flooding is a result of any of Wonderlawn’s work, replacing the lawn is not something we would agree to.

So folks .... these guys are purely experts in laying the lawn. They do not take things like drainage into consideration, and as they know so little about drainage even if there is a glaring drainage issue they will still just lay the lawn. I would expect a company laying the lawn to know what the impact of constant flooding is as it is their product,which they laid, as they don’t know the impact is a COMPLETELY FLAT LAWN, with the grass going in all different directions so it looks like cheap crap I could have got at a much lower price. I did seek legal advice but the solicitor said the court would give the chance for Wonderlawn to correct the error before they would look at cash reimbursement for poor service. A) Wonderlawn have already told me the only thing will do is lift the lawn so someone else can fix the drainage, then they would put the lawn back down and would use their equipment to fluff the grass back up B) I do not want these cowboys anywhere near my garden again. I will take the financial hit and once I saved some cash will pay another company to do a proper job. Good luck to anyone who use this company.
