This is the first time that I have used Wilkinson Construction Consultants, but would use again. Tom the inspector always arrived promptly for site visits and was very helpful and friendly.

Is the biggest mistake to use this company guild me through the project,I employed this co in 2019 July by the recommendation through the builder and we have 3 inspection during the build and every single inspection they said is ok even the last inspection done by Geoff and said to me everything is ok and he will past the inspection,he even wrote the last report said reluctantly he will except the fact the situation no worst than before which I proposed to him by me in fact is the first inspector told me about all this!so I throught is the end of story until Geoff wrote to me in June this year 2021 requires for the electric certificate and the plan and ever since than he required each time he wrote more and more at once stages he ever ask for the plan for the ground floor and first floor flat which belongs to someone else from the architect which have nothing to do with the 4 floor extension for my disable partner and during the corresponding email I had told him about my partner situation he been in the hospital with a heart attack and follow by the stroke beginning of the year and he never recovered from the situation along with long term illness we are really struggling with life at the moment But he will not give any sympathy and the number of time the architect and builder try to call him to resolved this issue and he did not return any phoned call and never answered any of my questions and each time he wrote and finally he reviewed he want the door downstairs all change to fire door the sprinkler to put in for the extension after finished 2 year ago and even want the fire plan in September and the architect and the builder both think is very unreasonable request so now the case reverts back to the local authorities Geoff even suggested in the report we have to summit the fire plan with the new application although they refund all the free but still this case shouldn’t been going for so long and my common to him is he is a heartless incompetent person do not use this company cos they didn’t do enough research and just created more problems for our build!

The Building Control Officer was very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. Provided adequate support and guidance to achieve compliance with Building Control Regs. Geoff was very accommodating with his site visits.

All the people I have dealt with at Wilkinson have been very professional and helpful and extremely efficient and nice people. I would recommend them to anyone.

Hired as an independent building inspectors for structural work on my house and can not recommend them enough. Very professional, help provided through the entire process with great attention to detail. They even answer calls on a Friday evening!

Do not use this company, they will take payment in advance. Then fail to complete works.
Then if you no not pay for very expensive alterations they will report you to the council that will coats. Using Wilkinson Construction Consultants Ltd is stressful and expensive

I brought The Building Inspector onto my project after having issues with the local authority building control.

From the outset the improvement in service levels was clearly demonstrable and a number of issues previously missed were highlighted in a professional way allowing me the time for them to be corrected.

The visits and support continued around covid restrictions and the project was signed off with me fully confident that all was in good order.

I employed Wilkinson Construction for my home extension as I found them to have very good reviews online. My experience has been nothing but extremely professional throughout the building work and very helpful post building work to tie up all the details. Very pleased and would recommend to others seeking a private building control company.

The overall inspection and reporting process was very good, however the Structural Engineers employed under specified steels and it would appear that Wilkinson have no responsibility to check Structural Engineers calculations and the net result was costly

Having worked with a number of BI's on various projects, I have found Wilkinson's the most straightforward. Professional, friendly and helpful. Prepared to work with you to secure the most appropriate outcome.

The price seemed reasonable and the inspector who visited was helpful and friendly. However, I found email and telephone communication throughout the process difficult to understand and unnecessarily brusque. There was also often a slow response time (1-2 weeks) to my queries. I was pleased with the end result.

Very professional but also very friendly and understanding. When i book a visit or leave a voice mail they are always very quick to come to site or to ring me back. Compared to previous experiences with the council they are an absolute pleasure to work with.
The inspectors are excellent and always very helpful and understanding. They have offered up alternative solutions when i have had issues and i can always ring them to ask their advice about alternate products or methods.
I would highly recommend Wilkinsons instead of going via the council.
