The order arrived two days later than…
The order arrived two days later than initially stated. Unfortunately, Royal Mail delivery delays meant the items were no longer refrigerated upon arrival.
As a result, the cold chain was compromised, and the products had to be discarded.
I would strongly recommend reviewing the courier arrangement, as the current service level is not suitable for temperature-sensitive goods.

Thank you for your review. I can see that you ordered Hog casings on Thursday, 9th April, on a next-day service, and it was delivered on Saturday, which is 1 day later than you and us at Weschenfelder would have hoped when you placed your order. Obviously, this is disappointing, but from time to time our couriers do let us down, which can be down to a number of issues and it is out of our hands.
With spooled hog casings, we supply them vacuum-packed and salted to preserve them. The casings are actually fine to store at ambient temperatures, but we do advise putting them in the fridge once you receive them, just to extend their shelf life even past the Best Before Date.
If you contact us via email, we will be happy to replace the item you discarded.
Be sure that when you receive them, they will be fine at ambient temperatures, and there is no need to worry about the casings being spoiled because of how we package and preserve them, even if the delivery is a few days in transit.
I hope that has cleared things up and your next order with us is a smooth one from a courier point of view.
