I have to admit, I was skeptical, which I am by nature. When I first received my offer price, I was put further on my guard, it was simply too high. The value they placed on my vehicle was that of a vehicle in mint condition with no flaws, and I knew my vehicle was not in that category. I did my homework and came up with a value that I thought was fair balancing in the convenience of having them handle the transaction and me walking away with a check. If you are realistic in your expectations of value and take the value that they bring to the table, the value that we settled on was acceptable. After they physically examined the vehicle, they came up with a value that was a few thousand dollars under their initial web-site-unseen offer, but that doesn't mean that I accepted their offer as written, we still negotiated a bit. Ultimately, I was very satisfied with the whole process and especially with the agent/manager with whom we transacted. He was very good to work with, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to sell a car in this area. Remember, do your homework, recognize the value that they bring to the table (it is worth something), and don't be afraid to question their offer. The offer is based upon a lot of things that have to do with your specific vehicle, but also with the perceived demand for your vehicle. They can't give you top dollar for an AMC Gremlin like they can for a mint condition Toyota Camry!
