I was told one price and the salesmen…

I was told one price and the salesmen immediately low balled me when he arrived so I felt like the price was give only to attract business. The car was practically new with 4,785 miles 2020 Buick Encore. It had been sitting so the battery needed a jump causing the check engine light to come on. He capitalized on that to lower the price by some thousands. We took it for aims test in which it passed with flying colors, check engine went off with two taps of the engine button.I felt as if I was taking advantage of. Not a good feeling.😩 When I called him on it he acted indignant saying he took pride in his job I’m not disputing that he works very hard for his company but not for the customers. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone I know.

We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

We want to address the concerns about our buyer's conduct head-on. Our team is expected to remain professional and respectful at all times. You should never have walked away feeling taken advantage of or that your concerns were dismissed. We take this seriously and will review how the conversation was handled.

We also want to be clear that we do not inflate our online estimates to attract business with the intention of adjusting down at the appointment. Our goal is for the final offer to be as close to the online estimate as possible, and any adjustment is driven by what we find during the in-person appraisal.

Our online estimate is based on the information provided by the customer during the valuation process. In this case, no defects were declared online. During our professional, in-person appraisal, our team identified a dent on the driver side rear door, and our OBD-II diagnostic scan returned fault code U0101 — Lost Communication with TCM (Transmission Control Module). A check engine light on its own does not affect a vehicle's value — what matters is the underlying code, and U0101 is a communication fault between the engine computer and the transmission that we, as a dealer, cannot resell a vehicle with without first diagnosing and repairing. That is what drove the adjustment, not simply the fact that the light was on.

Our team will review the appraisal notes, photographs, and diagnostic scan information to ensure the inspection was conducted correctly and that the findings were communicated to you appropriately.

We take your feedback very seriously and have logged a formal complaint on your behalf.
