WBAC valued my vehicle at £14,650, I booked an appointment in 4 days. on the morning of the appointment WBAC sent me a message looking forward to my appointment and with an up to date valuation, it was now £85 less ant £14,565.

When I arrived at the appointed time the WBAC agent came out and was in raptures about the condition of my vehicle stating many times how immaculate it was and that he would live it for his family, he went in to say that he was contacting his manager to get an upgrade on the valuation as all vehicles are considered condition 3 but mine was far better than that, it was ‘showroom’ condition. 45 minutes later he came back with my new valuation which I was expecting to be above £15,000 now after all his reputed about my vehicle. The valuation now £13,250!!!!! I was livid!!! WBAC had just wasted over 1 hour of my time to try to steal my car from me The agent said the lower valuation was down to its condition, service history which was absolutely complete with a full main dealer printout of everything ever done and the fact that the MOT test had only 7 months to run!!

IMHO WBAC are just a bunch of scammers giving false prices to lure you in then kick you when you arrive!!!

NEVER WILL I EVER ENTERTAIN USING THEM AGAIN!!!

What a load of rubbish! So misleading!! website suggested £11,785 based on accurate information added. Car is mint, fsh with main dealer, 1 owner from new!The guy literally tapped the car with a magnet, nothing to report as expected and then went to the cabin and offered me £10441? Could not give no reason for the price different? An absolute waste of my time! I expected a fee and couple of hundred pounds deduction but not over a £1000.00. Cow boy outfit

Went today after being given a price of £11650. Car was in excellent condition as nearly new low mileage and well looked after. After completing paperwork, video and sound check for their mechanics they came with offer of £10200 and could not explain why? Would never recommend or use this service again. Just charlatans.

What waste of time this company is valued my vehicle for £6000 and when I got there offered £700 that’s a joke

What a rip off! Online they offered me £6500 for a £10k Merc convertible with 7 months MoT remaining. When I arrived and was delayed by 45 minutes they said the online price had dropped. Then £200 reduction for a scuff mark UNDER the front spoiler, then £200 reduction because there was a scratch on the passenger door where a seatbelt was once caught, then £200 off for brush marks on the corners, then £200 reduction for a microchip under the windscreen wipers ( I could repair for zero cost if I had seen). Then £200 reduction because service history was online and I offered to pay the £80 log in fee, but no, another £200 off. In the end I got £2000 less than they estimated. It was a very hot day and I already booked a taxi home. Once home I realised that I had been taken for a fool! I know I am a vulnerable autistic adult and trust people. My local garage had offered me £6k but I was taken in by the “we buy any car” snake oil salesman. They are on commission because in the cubicle office a phone rang and he boosted about how well he did on my sale!
There’s no cooling off period and his actions were borderline criminal to a vulnerable person. Do not use this scam company. My bad experience was at a Norfolk office and I guess the other offices are just as bad from what I hear!
Avoid this company!!

Utter waste of time, classic bait and switch on pricing compared to the Web offer with no rational for the change. I told them to keep their offer and ended up selling it for 30% more elsewhere. Avoid

Writing a review on behalf of my father. “We will give you £1960” especially with low mileage. Don’t go near them unless you’re absolutely desperate for money and I mean properly desperate! My parents car was in perfect condition and the offered less than £1000. My mum is going through cancer treatment so it’s one less thing for them to think about but if you read this I repeat do not go to them!

I enquired at WBAC to sell my car and they gave me a lower than expected valuation of £11,395, which I passed over.
The following day, WBAC increased the offer to £12,000, which I again passed over.
5 days later, WBAC sent me an e-mail guaranteeing a sale price of £12,650, so I made an appointment in Petts Wood with their representative for the next day.
The WBAC representative commented on the good condition of the car and said he would be able to offer me an additional £50 due to this.
To my great shock, he then said he would pay £12,195, not the guaranteed £12,650, let alone the additional £50!
I refused the sale and made a formal complaint to WBAC.
Since then I have corresponded with WBAC on 14 occasions and I may as well have been talking to a brick wall.
My only course of action to hold these chancers to account, is to contact the local trading standards authority through the Citizens Advice Bureau, but I can't be bothered.

Rude, arrogant and pushy representative. Tried to bully us on his definition of car state and when he was asked a question on the rationale he said “Don’t try and undermine me” providing no rationale or explanation on the reason for his views or any willingness to show the issues on the car. This was in the Cricklewood branch with rep named Nadir. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I will be using motorway.co.uk - it’s listed a price £1,100 higher and I won’t have to deal with an obnoxious representative who is trying to be pushy and obnoxious.

Sold my car to you a week ago.
You haven't paid me and your branch said its coming back to me as it has an engine miss. You had it running and assessed by your engineer who said it was fine.
You took my car away from the branch without payment and revised your offer from £8850 to £5350, it has been gone almost a week with no idea when it will be returned,only an email saying your hours of returning your vehicle are between Monday to Friday and if you aren't available in that hour time slot then you have to get it yourself. So basically you've stolen my car and then use threatening behaviour. The fact that there is no telephone number to speak to you says it all.
Mitchell in port talbot branch was a really nice guy and I think he is embarrassed about the situation.
Still no money or no car.
Avoid big time.

Personally I had a good experience with WBAC at St Albans. A friendly and professional team member explained the process and ratings clearly to me when I took my car to them. I was very realistic about the state of my car (good from a distance but some scrapes and dings). They also handle the paperwork with DVLA which made me slightly nervous at first, but after selling my car the night before I woke up to an email from DVLA acknowledging that my paperwork had gone through and that I was no longer the owner. I can see that it may be confusing to get an initial high quote online and then end up receiving less than half that (which happened in my case) but I think that’s where you need to recognise that the quoted price is for a car in immaculate condition - and that WBAC is a fairly rational actor in trying to get the price down. Perhaps they should rethink how they do that initial bit. Either way, it worked well for me, thanks.

After numerous emails about value they will offer, I attended their office. Very disappointingly, they just don’t honour the value they give you even after giving very accurate details online. They will try to get at least £1000 off for reasons that do not add up. Eg my car always shows as grey on any system. They asked me if it was a Brooklyn grey or another grey. I was confused but then they say they have to reduce the price as it’s grey and not a Brooklyn grey?! When you do the valuation online they automatically show my car as grey so why then try to reduce the price!? Also my car had very minor wear and tear as was very well looked after and not that old. But they say they have to deduct £1000 as it was not ‘showroom ready’. The lady explained that it has to look the same as the day you bought the car new! Very odd. It wasted a lot of time and felt like a very dishonest business. I walked out.

They offered me £750 on line for my 14 year old Honda Jazz, which was in perfect condition. When my son and I saw their rep there he said £250. I sold it the next day for a neighbour for £700.

Don't trust them

After attending the temporary offices of We Buy Any Car in B & Q car park and receiving what I considered an unreasonable valuation. I gathered up all my supporting documents and I walked away with not another word said.
On arriving home there was an email enquiring as to my satisfaction with dealing with them and a suggestion that I might want another appraisal .Foolishly thinking it might be an upward reassessment I ticked the box”yes”
Today received that and surprise, surprise a cynical drop of £74 against their original quote of £713.
Do not think for one moment you’ll receive anywhere near your cars true value. Their motive is clear. Capture as many mugs as possible to send lots of cars to auction and secure a return on each, whatever that is. Multiply that from all over the country and it’s a nice little earner.

Absolutely fantastic customer service from Sophie in Stafford. I think people have to take into consideration that its a business and cars depreciate so quickly, we never get back what we may have put in but payment is instant. Very attentive,approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. Would definitely use again. Thanks Sophie
