Poor attitude

Delivery late (delayed day and late on the day) with poor communication and attitude from driver and customer services. Very unpleasant experience and in future won't order from suppliers who use this company.

A very poor experience with Walkers

A very poor experience with this company. They were delivering on behalf of Wickes. We had changed a scheduled delivery a week ago but the two companies failed to communicate. Despite assurances the delivery would be on 31/3, it arrived today. The driver refused to listen to the fact that it was the wrong day (I had to leave for a medical appointment). He left a pallet of very heavy tiles on the pavement - and drove off saying it was 'curbside only' and he would not help carry them into the house. So the wrong day, dumped on the side of the road and a driver who made it clear he didn't give a f***. The tiles were too heavy to lift and I had to ask our Wickes agent to come round and help. We've invested several thousand in this project. we did not expect such appalling delivery service. Beware - we have no choice over who delivers supplies, but if I had a choice I would never use Walkers.

This is the level of professionalism they offer.
Despite giving us no notice on the delivery, we call them to ask to leave the delivery inside the main doors to the side.
We mentioned my wife was not able to lift weight due to pregnancy.
Despite this the driver courtesy was to leave all in front of the building doors, blocking the access for the residents and creating some safety issues.
The company won’t take responsibility for the rude behaviour of the drive towards clients that, in the first place kindly asked for a little extra help due to circumstances as this now needs to be raised with the retailer.
A job well done!

Shame we cannot upload the picture of where the delivery was left… but it’s well visible on our google review…

Received a text with tracking details…

Received a text with tracking details to advise delivery on Thursday 29/1 to advise of delivery on Friday between 2-5. Called at 16:45 to be advised driver ran out of driving time allegedly and the delivery would be Monday morning. After calling depot in Leeds I’ve found out pallet is not out for delivery and not traceable. Currently waiting on someone calling back. This has resulted in tradesmen being cancelled. Found out tracking label came off pallet, Courtney from Walkers called back and confirmed delivery later in the day around 5 pm. More communications and tracking would be more helpful in the future.

Delivered to my neighbour despite me…

Delivered to my neighbour despite me telling the delivery driver that it was the wrong address. Put the pallet in the middle of their path so they couldn't get round it. For good measure, broke a bag of cement grout on the pallet so it went all over their pathway (deliberately I expect). Took me an hour to shift the goods and clean up my neighbours path.

Tracking system not helpful and delivery missed

I had ordered garden stones from another company who use Walkers Transport to perform the delivery. I had paid extra for a specific date delivery. I received an email saying that the delivery was on its way and was estimated for the day I had requested. No time given at this point. On their website they suggest that they will give a two hour window to allow you to know when the delivery will take place. At 12:33 (after waiting around all morning) I was told the two hour window was 14:57 to 16:57. At 13:10 this changed to 13:47 to 15:47, so an hour earlier. However, at 15:44 another note moved this to 15:57 to 17:57. Then at 16:10 I received a phone call to tell me the delivery wasn't arriving at all I on what date did I want to re-arrange the delivery. for. The lady on the phone who was quite apologetic did not know why the delivery had not been made. A full day wasted and no understanding of why the delivery did not take place. The original company will reimburse for the money I spent to arrange specific delivery date - but that does not get my time back.

LIfesaver Service - highly recommend

With our colleague Denise on holiday, we needed to get some pallets out quickly but didn't really know the process . We gave Caroline at Walkers Transport a call for some help, and she was amazing — found a gap in her day, whizzed over to our building in Trafford Park, walked us through the process, and before we knew it, the lorry was outside ready to collect the pallets. Fantastic service and a real lifesaver. Thanks again, Caroline and the Walkers team!

Shocking service

Shocking service , change delivery dates dont keep the tracking updated . Had 2 deliveries by this company in the last 2 months (Still waiting for 1) and both have been very poor !! Have had to lose days at work because this company does not deliver on the dates its suppose too , why companies choose to use this company to deliver their goods is beyond me they just make the seller look bad ,steer clear of any goods supplier that use this shower to deliver their goods.

Drivers was Absolutely Amazing Very Excellent Professional caring customer service. With so much helpful friendly and understanding.

Missing roof from Tiger shed

Delivered a Tiger shed from Halfords with no roof panels included in the package.

We got 1 hour's notice from Walker's about the delivery. I was out at the time, luckily my partner was at home.

APPALLING SERVICE

We wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. The service we received from Lauren (the lady with a face very obviously full of filler and botox) was appalling, unnecessarily rough, rude, and completely unprofessional throughout the appointment. To make matters worse, after a phone call, she must have thought she had hung up, but I overheard her speaking disparagingly about her colleagues Stuart and Lucas to someone named Simone, who seemed to agree. It’s shocking to witness that kind of behavior within a team, and it speaks volumes about the culture at this business. Overall, a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience.

Utterly Unacceptable

Walkers Transport delivered several parcels of almost 300kg in London and little did I know that when I went out to talk to the guys they had left - Let me use this word, which have never used to qualify anyone - but they are absolute scum. No one notified this would happen. This is utterly unacceptable.

They Talker the talk but dont walker the walk and dont deliver on time Im a business owner and rely on delivery company delivering on time and that have good communication. My Order has not been delivered that should have been dropped yesterday when I rang up I got 20 minutes on hold listening to a woman tell me how wonderful and reliable they are and when I eventually got through was told they where too busy you will have to wait in line in a very rude manner .Good luck if you treat your customers in this way manners cost nothing but go a long way

Great service

Ordered tiles from tiles direct and I was pleasantly surprised by the detailed tracking I received. I had multiple emails and texts updating me continuously throughout the day. Extremely informative and accurate. Great service !

Whats the point of a tracker if it doesnt get updated!

When you are hold on the phone(which you will be!) Walkers will boast about their fantastic tracker so you can see where your delivery is! Its a shame it doesnt get updated or Walkers dont know what understand what has been written on it.
All was well with my (large) delivery until it was transferred to a local company (Eminence Transport) Walkers tracker and emails told me to expect deliver at 8.12 am with a window of 7.12-9.12.
Come 10am I check the tracker to see that the load had been removed from drop off plan.
Phoned Eminence to be told it was definitely on the manifest and it would be delivered between 2-4pm
Tried calling walkers and got no answer.
4.30pm and no delivery.
No reply at all from Eminence. Finally got through to Walkers who could only tell me what was on the tracker (no help at all) They finally got through to Eminence and were told the truck had been in an accident!! And that the would leave an email and a message saying it needed to be delivered Saturday morning and that someone at Eminence would call/and or email me to confirm.
When I asked what it meant that the tracker said it had been removed from the drop off plan the lady could not tell me what that meant.

Saturday morning: No email, no phonecall so at 10.30am I was just about to give up and go out (having wasted the whole day Friday waiting in) and there was a knock on the door and the delivery was made.
The poor driver was doing overtime to clear the backlog. The reason was, in his words, they have too many jobs and not enough drivers.
The truck was the same truck that was booked for my Friday delivery. No sign of any accident damage at all!!!
Today at 7.13 The tracker was updated saying it had been delivered and there was a photo for proof. But there was no photo.
Whilst I appreciate that the issues were caused by Eminence Not Walkers Directly there is absolutely no point in having a tracker if its not updated.
I will now no longer use the supplier if they are going to use Walkers.

Logistical Nightmare

Ordered a bulk delivery from an aggregates company who use this group for deliveries.
So good they “forgot” to load the delivery and then couldnt be bothered to ensure the delivery the next day.
I would look elsewhere.

Extremely rude and unprofessional…

Extremely rude and unprofessional service. The delivery driver called me and said he would arrive in five minutes and asked me to meet him. It was a heavy delivery. I tried calling the person who was on-site to meet the delivery, but couldn’t reach them, so I called the driver back and asked him to dial the flat number on the intercom, explaining that there were people inside who could receive the delivery. He started shouting at me, that he doesn't have time for it, was extremely rude, and then hung up on me. I tried calling him back, but he did not pick up. When the person on-site met him, the driver also shouted at them, dumped two pallets — over a ton of goods — on a parking space (where it was not permitted), and drove off. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend this service at all.
