Scam Warning – Vivanta Construction / Vivanta Leisure Ltd Left Our Property Damaged and Uninhabitable

Do not use Vivanta Construction / Vivanta Leisure Ltd (Company No. 09526054) our experience has been a nightmare — financially, emotionally, and logistically.
We were quoted £13,210 and paid £11,900 for a home renovation that was promised to be completed in 10 days. It’s now been over 4 weeks, and the work is still incomplete, with no end in sight.
The property was left partially unfinished, with poorly installed fittings, damaged walls, and zero cleanup. It was so bad, the home was left uninhabitable, and we were unable to move in. Despite the severity of the situation, Timur Mamedov (the owner) has refused to rectify any of the problems or take responsibility for his terrible planning and mismanagement.
Although he was contractually responsible for site management, Timur disappeared for 8 days, leaving a single carpenter completely unsupervised on-site. Worse, he told the carpenter that he would not be paid, and that he should ask us — the client — for payment instead. This was a complete abandonment of his professional obligations.
Timur also appears to intentionally cut corners to save money. He didn’t hire enough tradesmen to get the job done properly or on time — likely so that he could pocket more of the client’s money. The result was predictable: serious delays, poor workmanship, and no accountability when things fell apart.
Of the £11,900 we paid, we received just £460 (deducted from the unpaid completion amount) back — even though the work was never completed. On top of that, Timur demanded we pay £760 directly to one of his own unpaid workers, despite him holding nearly £12,000 of our money. This is a breach of the service agreement he provided us.
He also used threatening language to pressure us for full payment before completion, ignored every complaint, and completely disappeared from the job. No compensation, no fixes, and no responsibility.
This wasn’t just a bad job — it was a deliberate exploitation. Avoid Vivanta Construction / Vivanta Leisure at all costs. Do not trust Timur Mamedov with your money or your home.
