Refund still unresolved after more than a month
Refund still unresolved after more than a month
I am sharing my experience with Visits Turkiye so that other travelers can make an informed decision before using their service.
On 16 August 2026, I paid USD 149 for a Turkish e-Visa service through their website.
At 4:38 PM, I received confirmation that my payment had been received and that my visa application would be processed. At 5:49 PM, only about 71 minutes later, I was informed that my application could not be processed because, according to the official e-Visa system, I was not eligible to obtain a Turkish e-Visa online.
I immediately requested a full refund.
Over the following weeks, I provided all the information requested, including my bank details. I was repeatedly informed that my refund was being reviewed by their Financial Team and that I would be updated.
Then, on 10 September, I was informed that a full refund was not possible because travel insurance associated with my order had allegedly already been issued. I was offered only a 60% refund, meaning that 40% of my payment would be retained.
I asked for the basic supporting documents before accepting this deduction, including:
The travel insurance policy
Insurance provider and policy number
Date of issuance
Actual amount charged for the insurance
Relevant terms and conditions
A clear calculation explaining the 40% deduction
I was told that these documents would be provided after review by the relevant department.
However, instead of receiving the requested documents or a refund, I continued to receive responses referring to internal review, another department, and pending confirmation.
As of today, I have received no supporting documentation, no refund, and no substantive resolution.
I have tried repeatedly to resolve this matter directly and amicably. I even offered to accept a reasonable administrative deduction of around 10% simply to close the matter.
I am not making any accusation about the company's intentions. I am simply documenting my experience and the facts of my case.
No documents. No refund. No substantive resolution.
I hope the company will resolve this matter promptly and provide the documentation and refund that I have been requesting.
My advice to other travelers: before paying for a visa-related service through a private intermediary, carefully verify the service provider and check the official Turkish e-Visa channels first.
