A Heart Warming Experience

I can't say enough good things about Virtual Psychiatric Care! From the moment I reached out, I was met with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to mental health. The convenience of accessing high-quality care from the comfort of my home has been a game-changer for me.

The providers are compassionate, attentive, and truly take the time to listen and understand my concerns. They offer personalized treatment plans that have helped me feel more in control of my mental well-being. Whether it’s therapy sessions, medication management, or simply having someone to talk to, Virtual Psychiatric Care has made the entire process seamless and stress-free.

What I appreciate most is their dedication to breaking the stigma around mental health and promoting a holistic approach to well-being. Their resources, support, and accessibility have made such a positive impact on my life.

They took my money and ran

They took my money and left me waiting in the virtual waiting room for close to 2 hrs, even after it said there was no one else in the waiting room and I was next in line. I tried messaging, I tried emailing, all with no luck 😭

What a nice bs response. Their website said there were 2 providers available with no one in the waiting room. If there was no one available, then why say there is??

We are sorry a provider was not able to see you last night as a "walk-in" visit. I responded and sent you a secure message. Please refer to our website www.virtualpsychiatriccare.com regarding the "walk-in" visit process. You are NOT charged unless you see a provider for an actual visit. Any payment hold on your card is released and drops off once you exit the virtual waiting room. Due to the holidays there are no providers online in the evening to conduct telehealth visits. We apologize for any inconvenience. We hope you choose to use our services in the future!

If I could have not clicked any stars, I would have

If I could have not clicked any stars, I would have. Worst experience ever with Aline D Parades. Honestly shared with her extreme traumas I have been through, and explained to her that I am and have been in recovery for over 3 years now. She repeatedly told me over and over that I was in fact, not in recovery because I have been medically prescribed THC & CBD products for my PTSD. I am in recovery, and I've been beating crack/cocaine and painkiller addictions for over 3 years- how dare a provider belittle the journey I've been on. The worst, was probably when she told me she understood my addiction to crack and being in recovery- she has no idea. No empathy, no respect, a terrible appointment and I will never use these services again. Addicts are humans too.

It is the worst scam on earth

It is the worst scam on earth. I made an appt and tried to cancel but there is no way to call anyone to actually contact a representative. I made the appointment and canceled 10 minutes later and they charged me 200 dollars for a cancellation fee. Even though they wouldn’t answer the phone. The woman who started the company is not qualified at all to prescribe the full spectrum of meds that deal with certain psychiatric conditions and has prescriber limitations due to the dea cracking down on Telehealth prescribers taking advantage of the relaxed rules during COVID. They are a fraud.

I was so glad I used a virtual…

I was so glad I used a virtual psychiatrist! I felt I spent more quality time with the therapist not having to drive to the office wait in the waiting until the therapist is ready. I use this visit for my six year old grandson at times it is hard to get him to go into the office. The visit was at home and he did participate in the visit. I have called different towns looking for a psychologist for my grandson. The wait is six months out. I think this is a very valuable tool for people that need help now not later.

Prepare to be gaslit the entire time. I have never been treated so poorly by a medical “professional” in my entire life. This woman cut me off mid sentence and said “I don’t prescribe benzos, is that why you made this appt?” You then act confused as to why I am offended. If you would have OPENED YOUR EARS, you would know I haven’t taken them in 3+ years because I clearly stated that. No, you would rather treat every patient like a drug seeker. Choose your words wisely, you are dealing with a vulnerable population with LIVES in your hands and you need to act accordingly.

YOU WILL BE JUDGED BEFORE YOU EVEN MEET…

YOU WILL BE JUDGED BEFORE YOU EVEN MEET THE DOCTOR. I made an appointment trying to get my Alazapram prescription renewed due to severe panic attacks that I've had since I was 21. My primary care doctor does not prescribe benzos to anyone, but is fully aware of my need for them and recommended I seek the aid of a mental health professional. I was also advised to go into detail as to why I'm asking for a specific drug, what other drugs I had tried that weren't successful, and to go into the background on my medication history, as there is a prescription for suboxone last filled in January (8 months ago) that would alarm a provider WITHOUT CONTEXT, however once discussed with the provider there would certainly be no issue, as I was not prescribed the medicine for an addiction or drug abuse, and was not made aware of how hard the drug was going to be to stop, and all of this is WELL documented and easily proven. I AM NOT A DRUG ABUSER, i am a grown man, almost 40 years old, who owns his own home with a wife and 2 year old daughter, and have worked for the same company for 7 straight years. This Doctor decided to determine I was not worthy of her time before she even spoke to me at all. Again, I must repeat, I NEVER GOT TO SPEAK TO THE DOCTOR. I knew that because it being a controlled substance request right off the bat it would throw up some red flags, but I'm in the middle of a anxiety attack and I shouldn't have to lie or beat around the bush with the person who is supposed to help me, and I also expected to have a conversation about my issues and history, so I was not concerned because I knew I had no reason to be. BOY, WAS I WRONG. I wrote a written request to the doctor with my appointment request letting her know the what and why, explaining that i was looking to be prescribed a controlled substance that I had been prescribed before, the reason i was requesting it, and what i had already tried that didn't work, just as another medical professional advised would be best. My appointment was at 1:30pm, in the middle of my work day, so when I had trouble deciding whether or not to take off for the day, the email I received sealed my decision. That email stated, exactly "We received your request, and yes, we CAN help". At 1:30pm, I was advised to join the video conference, but could not make it to the actual meeting until I processed the payment they were requesting. The EXACT SECOND I submitted the payment, I received a message from the doctor, Pascale Kidane, PNP, and it said I cannot prescribe you any medication, I don't have any referrals for you, your card won't be charged. BOOM, she canceled the appointment I just PAID for with no reason. When I asked her if I could kindly ask why, she said " your medication history". At this point I knew she was calling me a drug addict, and I REPEATEDLY requested this doctor to PLEASE TALK TO ME. She then got pretty rude, and doubled down on me being a drug addict by saying there was suspicious stuff even recently, which made no sense and is a flat out lie, and unsurprisingly she refused to elaborate. She then tried to tell me no doctor/patient relationship had been formed, even though she charged me the fee, was communicating with me over text about my medical history, and knew enough about me to call me a drug addict, so i would been to differ there. I was so mad and upset at this point i started having an anxiety attack, and this whole thing ended with me in tears in my wife's arms wondering how a medical health professional could treat a patient in distress line this. I tried to send a few more messages to explain, and contacted the marketing girl who sent out some of the emails to me, who promised me the provider was going to contact me, said she spoke to her herself and that she would call soon. That never happened, not yet anyways. I decided this treatment was unacceptable from anyone, especially a MENTAL HEALTH DOCTOR TALKING TO SOMEONE IN AN ANXIETY CRISIS, and this is just my first stop in my crusade to inform people about this particular provider. I also plan on filling a complaint with the BBB, the Virginia Department of Health, and will be posting this review on any website that contains the keywords Pascale Kidane, PNP or virtualpsychiatriccare.com.

I sincerely apologize if the experience triggered emotional distress as this was certainly not my intention. I never called you a “drug addict” and this was never insinuated. Please understand you were not singled out. The process is to always screen all potential clients via chat messaging to ensure we are a good fit and treatment expectations are met. Booking an appointment on our platform and texting medical history does not automatically establish a provider relationship. In this case I could not prescribe the controlled substance you were requesting despite your previous treatment history shared. Ethically, I informed you right away as to not waste your time by starting the video call and wasting your money..VPC booking policy states that once a video call is started, you will be charged regardless of outcome, which I helped to avoid so your money would not be wasted. As you stated immediately your card payment was reversed as the video session did not take place. Please contact customer support by email if payment has not yet been reversed by your bank.

Major Disappointment After COVID

I’ve had great treatment during COVID when the nurse practitioner’s were able to treat across state lines. Treatment then stopped after the expiration of COVID to treat across state lines because the nurse practitioner’s are not licensed in my state. I was advised by a nurse practitioner as long as they are licensed in New York, I can have a virtual appointment as long as I am in New York for the appointment while changing my pharmacy to a New York pharmacy. After two hours of waiting in the Port Authority, I was denied treatment because I was told it goes by state residency. If that were the case I would not have scheduled an appointment. False and confusing information by this group without a response from my nurse practitioner regarding what I was told and what had actually happened. Very disappointed.

Hi Peter. We truly apologize about our inability to continue your treatment and the conflicting information you received about cross-state prescribing. The Covid related emergency telehealth laws are constantly changing and we try our best to stay abreast while not violating DEA prescribing regulations. We are currently working on getting licensed in NJ and hope you would give us another opportunity in the future to provide you quality, convenient care.

Make sure you update your ID

I was really excited to find a telehealth platform after my previous provider stopped prescribing in my state. I made my appointment, put my CC info in, about two years worth of RX records and a few days logged into my appointment. I received a message that nobody was available and I responded that I had a scheduled appointment. The provider logged in, and I explained why I was there and she stated she could not help me because my driver license was not for the state I resided in and she needed to verify I was a "resident"of the state? I offered to provide a copy of my mortage, mail or anything else needed to show that I was a resident of the state but she said "telehealth laws prevent her", which is a total lie because all my provider are telehealth! I have never run into an issue having an out of state drivers license and I feel obviously if I have a mortgage or piece of mail that it shows I am in the state more than a driver license that anyone can get. I realize there may be rules, but I feel they should have outlined this on the website or somewhere in the policies versus wasting my time when I could have used the time finding a provider who didn't have these types of individual policies. I also stated I years of records I would happily provided to show that not only I was diagnosed with the symptoms but have been receiving treatment for well over a decade. I work for the federal government and move often and with COVID it was increasingly hard to change a drivers license which I don't feel should be the gatekeeper to access health. Obviously if my credit card has my state zip code, I am physically located in a state but I was also willing to show my mortgage statement as well. Being denied care simply over an out of state driver license, when everything else outlined my state
was ridiculous. But for a provider to blame Telehealth laws and insult my intelligence I find to be a question of their ethics. I'd rather a provider just say they aren't comfortable than makeup a policy that does not exist. It is not uncommon for a person to have an out of state license and I could understand refusing treatment if the patient was not willing to provide some other forms of "proof". It's not as if I can use my current ID to see a provider from the state of my ID since I am physically not located in the state. My frustration is the fact that I could have been using the time to find a provider who could treat me and not wasting my time since it's now the weekend and I will have to wait another two plus days to be seen. . I usually don't like to post negative review but when my time is wasted for policies that only exist at the provider level but not annotated on the website or anywhere during the payment processing, I find it very unprofessional and unethical. I feel a home mortgage proves residency much more than a drivers license where anyone can obtain in less than an hour..

I feel like my psychiatrist isn't listening

I feel like my psychiatrist isn't listening to me at all. I frequently explain how I'm feeling in depth and she repeats it back to me and it isn't what I said at all. I feel like she's trying to speedrun our phone call so she can get it over with. I always feel worse after my visits but this is the only help I can afford.

Great Experience

I was attended to almost immediately and I was speaking to a true professional who has helped me work through some things. A follow up appointment was booked during the call for the following month.

Pleasantly Surprised

We were at a desperation point to get help for my teen. Therapists in our area are booked for months out and the few we had found just didn't click with my daughter. We learned about Virtual Psychiatric Care through a referral. I was skeptical at first, but I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Aline Paredes was fantastic. Better than any therapist we had been able to find near us. Definitely recommend.
