I no longer have an account with Virgin…
I no longer have an account with Virgin Mobile and each month they are reporting on my credit file as missed payment. I has been over 5/6 times now and I will look to take legal action and get compensation.
Also look out for a YouTube video coming soon exposing Virgin.
No customer service whatsoever
No customer service whatsoever. They take your money, don't provide service and then refuse to talk to you.
Dreadful customer services
After cancelling our Virgin Media account in September we decided to look at our 2 Virgin Mobile accounts. We, like others had been transferred to O2 and have been loyal Virgin customers for a very long time. Like others we cannot get WiFi calling either with O2. I phoned and got through to my account in the morning and then decided to call back and pay the remainder of my handset loan after finding I still had a year to go. The second call I was told that I didn’t have my own account and was put on hold for 30 mins! After having enough of waiting I called back to be told the same. When I passed the customer services person to my husband they cut him off. I called back rather determined again, quite cross as I knew I had my own account, and had spoken to someone that very day about it. The third person managed to find my account and saved the day (thank you). My husband and I have now both paid off our loans and we don’t have to deal with the horrendous customer service of Virgin mobile ever again. It’s a real pity there are a few really helpful customer services agents but others just don’t seem to care.
Disgusted at shoddy treatment
Absolutely disgusted with Virgin mobile. They transferred me over to O2 mobile a few weeks ago & it turns out that my phone that I had on a monthly tariff with them is not compatible with O2 so I no longer have WiFi calling, the signal in my house is now really poor & I can no longer make calls or receive texts & the only way to resolve this is to buy a new phone!!
Woke up this morning. Total crap service
Woke up this morning. Can’t get calls, can’t send calls, I’ve got nothing and I rely on phone to check on disabled mum. Can’t get help from Virgin, can’t get help from O2 as not switched over yet so I just got rid of the crap service and switched to Vodafone. Goodbye my crappy Virgin package - it’s been a long time coming and saved me £5 a month. Discusting service.

Phone was transferred to O2 and soon after my phone stopped working altogether I spoke to customer services who were very hard to understand but they are sending me a new sim card makes no sence at all, my phone now does not work and it makes no sence so it seems all virgin customers are cut off whule being charged!!!

I am with 98% of the people in this review.
Had not one choice to move to O2. Now I’m trapped in a contract with Virgin Finance over my phone.
SIM card contract is obviously with O2, and to be honest it’s no different to Virgin, still an absolute pain in the ass. But they done me a good deal with unlimited everything for £17 a month, can’t really moan at that…but…
I can’t upgrade my phone unless I pay for two phones at the same time, or pay the old one off in full, because O2 won’t take my iPhone 14 pro because it’s owned…still…by Virgin Finance. Plus the sim deal will change and go up DOUBLE!
If you are going to change companies then change the whole lot over and don’t mess people over by trapping them in things they don’t need to be trapped into.
Don’t get it one single bit…
And I love the way they haven’t responded to not one single person who has made a review…extremely poor!
Good price less features
For the price can’t complain to much WiFi calling isn’t as good as three o2 and ee phone disconnects and doesn’t switch back to the network after leaving WiFi zone even o2 this works correctly no call divert allowed on vm data speeds in my area on 5g are great but a little to much packet loss compared with ee and three where I work vm doesn’t have good connection constantly my phone shows virgin using mobile data from my ee e sim vm is decent for price but remember you get what you pay for ee Vodafone yes is better but remember vm is very good for the price even when compared to o2 tarrifs
Virgin to o2 switch garbage
I've been with virgin for a few years. Not great signal but worked well enough since their merge with o2...I'm paying for nothing. There's no Internet in my own home. I purposely didn't go with o2 as a know I don't get signal at home, despite what they tell me. S8nce the switch i also seem to have a ridiculous amount of spam callers too. Coincidence..i dunno? Absolute trash. Avoid
Don't trust this company
Don't trust this company, this has happened to me several times, the customer service is garbage, they don't give customers a month's notice in order to retain customers. Then they charge higher fees and use this method to deceive customers and want us to continue to renew the contract. This has happened to me three times. I hope everyone will come together to complain to the government departments against them. We can't let this crappy company keep deceiving us like this.

02 terrible I have been with Virgin for years no issues. Since the merge the service is shocking . I had spending caps on all of my phones which were taken off and I feel the 02 staff blame the Virgin staff I will be going to offcom and will leave . I have been on the 02 website and you can’t change your tariff never had an issue before . Stay away
Refusing to pay back credit...
I am aware that Virgin space has big financial problems, but do they really need to supplement this with credit they owe me from my virgin mobile account.
When I was moved to 02 by virgin I had a credit on my account. After spending over an hour being passed between 0 we and virgin mobile, they finally accepted that it was owed by virgin and that they would send me a cheque. Guess what never arrived.
Used thier email complaints line only up recieved a letter 1 month later stating thier resolution was account updated. Spent another hour on no they sent, trying to find out what this meant but they had shut down my mobile account, so could not access and surprise can not help.
Asked for a call back from a supervisor/manager and none has materialised.
Virgin definitely going for worst company award, do not allow virgin to transfer you until they have returned any credit on your account.
Dysfunctional, ignorant and incompetant
Just like Virgin Media, Virgin Mobile customer service is dysfunctional. In relation to the alleged automatic migration of customers to O2 it has failed on my 4 phones twice. I spent 1 hour 50 mins on one call alone. Incorrect advice about manually porting to O2, failure to receive manager call back within 48 hours, complaint not responded to, staff unaware of how to deal with the migration or who to refer to about it. Both VM and O2 are polite but completely ignorant and ineffective. It would be significantly less stressful to cancel my payment and move to another provider like EE or Vodaphone...I have learnt to hate anything Virgin and am bored with polite apologies from the poor staff who are also victims of systemic flawed management policies.
EDIT 05/09/23: 2 hour call back from senior manager promised but never happened. Asked to speak to a manager immediately, cut off 4 times (and called back) after having answered security questions and explaining why I need to speak (no manager call back twice plus the original problem). This company is causing so much unnecessary stress thru its inability to service customers.
EDIT: call back received on my daughter's phone, she said hold on and they (whoever) hung up. Pathetic.
EDIT 06/09/23: another 30 mins on the phone adding the lack of two call backs to my complaint c-030923421. Finally offered to transfer me to a manager but I just sat waiting listening to music. Eventually spoke with Pepper who took careful details, understood and raised ticket P012131652 and promised to call back in a few days once advised why the Sept migration failed. He noted the lack of 2 call backs was very bad and the advised to transfer to O2 manually does not work as they cannot offer the same deal and need to issues sim cards etc. Cancelled the previous PAC to avoid complications or numbers being lost.
EDIT 02/10/23: Manager failed to investigate and call back. Have simpy now received letters saying if the migration does not work by 30/10/23 my 4 phones will be cut off. I again spoke with a manager who effectively said he can do nothing and my phones should be transferred before 30/10/23 which is nonsense. The transfer to O2 is far from transparent and support is non-existent. I am at risk of loosing phones and my long held numbers.
Fraud on transfer from Virgin to O2
Thank you Virgin Mobile for assuring me that my transition would be smooth and I did not have to do anything. I have been the victim.of fraud and instead of having airtime and insurance on my own phone and a phone for my son which is nearly paid off, 02 have fraudently charged me for 2 phones I never asked for. I never ordered anything or signed anything. It seems the customer info you passed on has got into the hands of fraudster. Can you tell me how?

Well I can honestly say that I've just changed over due to terrible service with my last company. And so far I have had no issues at all.
Appalling none service
Arranged last saturday to move from my current provider.Sim card arrived following Tuesday with no instruction. It seems on contacting them they had lost my PAC code and it would be another 24 hrs. Thursday.I was annoyed to receive my first bill backdated to previous Saturday.They had lost my PAC code again so assume would be another 24 hrs.....Decided to cut losses and cancelled.
Well done Virgin 02 for contender for worst Customer Support imaginable.
So no surprises as I've seen the reviews here now but I have been trying for days to contact Virgin 02 to cancel an agreement and furnish payment for the end of my contract and have been placed on hold several times only to be told that I need to speak to another department. If that's not the case then no one answers. I've now been told to call a number and there's no answer there either. When I refer to their website the contact information (and only the telephone numbers not the text before or after) is scrambled. I've kept records of this and almost hope that they come after me for a measly £40 bill that I've been trying to arrange payment for. Just the time I've spent trying to arrange this is disgraceful and have no doubt that even a review as severe as this will fall on deaf ears or worse still - they may supply me with a number to call to 'fix' the problem. Wish I knew this when I set up my account, utter shambles.

I have asked 3 times for my direct debit to be changed and it has never been done customer service abysmal as soon as you start to complain all you get is sorry cant hear hear you or I'll put you through to customer complaints but no one ever answers will just pay by card day after. sick of people not telling the truth
