I would not even give them one star. I had a free account and when I was charged, I emailed and received verification that I did not have an active subscription. I did not receive a refund and they continued charging me each month. I emailed and received an automated message, but no real reply. I had to dispute 4 charges via my credit card company to finally received my refunds. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE OR ANY AFFILIATED COMPANY.

I must express my dissatisfaction with VideoGen's customer support. Efforts to cancel my subscription and request a refund within the European consumer protection period were met with slow and unhelpful responses from their team, particularly Donna and Claire. Over a week has passed without acknowledgement of my refund request, and the cancellation process is needlessly complex.

Due to these issues, I am disputing the charge through my bank and considering a formal complaint to a regulatory body. Potential customers should be wary of the poor service and lack of adherence to consumer rights at VideoGen. One expects better in today's market.

Corrupt company. Frauds. They only let you cancel subscription on PC. No way to do it on phone. I have tried to send them several mails, asking them to cancel my subscription, but it is not possible to find a customer service that answers.

I've had it for almost 2 months, severely limited in what it can do. Would not recommend.

I requested a cancellation of the plan 8 days before the next month and they never did it. They continue to charge the amounts and there is no response regarding the return of the money. They do not offer a way to delete card details nor the option to cancel the plan. My dashboard says FREE plan and they charge me as a PRO plan but there is no response from them. This is clearly a scam.

this company keeps charging our credit card, we sent emails and cancelled our services, blocked the credit card and somehow they keep raising the price and somehow charing us. This is fraud, plain and simple, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES, they also do not communicate via email

A friend got video gen and I was checking it out. I asked a few questions of Anton and got no response. The site has potential and is easy to use but once they got my friend's money the runaround started. I think the problem is they are not ready for business. The product is in development. There have been constant problems with the voice skipping and videos jumping instead of going smoothly from one to the other, or portions of the video images are missing etc. They deduct from your text count for each regeneration for their AI to get it right. There are supposed to be 10 hours in the program my friend bought, but my friend is getting two 3 minute videos a month and it then says to upgrade. One other thing was my friend selected upgrade and there is no credit for the $228.00 already paid for the first year. It charges the full fee for the next level, another $588.00. It's a gyp. If you really want it, I suggest waiting until they get the bugs out.

Videogen seemed to work really great up front. Then after subscribing I started noticing run together sentences and mispronounced words. I contacted support and they had no good solutions to the issue. Also the artwork seems to repeat continuously. They must have the smallest art file of any ai video producer. I paid for the 1 year plan being baited into the better voice quality. Then all of the problems started. I asked for a refund because I won't be able to use it for my business. They told me they have a no refund policy. So I will have to reverse the charge to get my money back. Buyer beware stay away from this bunch it's a scam for sure.

The AI is unable to generate videos that match your script accurately. 90% of the time it was showing me random video clips that have nothing to do with the script.

Plus, they have no option to explore the pro-features for 7 days, and upgrade amount is NON REFUNDABLE.

That, and quite a few features are still in development. Seems like a textbook case of a startup shipping an MVP but charging full price for it.

Best AI creation tool on the market. I tried the other tools, and this one fit my needs by a mile! Support was also helpful offering to refill my credits when I accidentally used them. I highly recommend. :)

Their subscription fees are non refundable even don't use their services, even in an hour cancellation. You can cancel anytime but they charged you and don't refund any payment they charged. They have very bad customer services which is not good for any startup companies among this competitive market. They should have a customer satisfactory oriented mindset but they have a very old-school mindset.

They don't cancel your subscription fee on the same day you charged. As I forget to cancel my monthly subscription, they charged me. After I realised, I sent them a cancellation email kindly. Most of companies, especially startups cancel the invoice even you benefitted their service. Even I didn't use their services and asked for the cancellation, they didn't accept. Also their video gen website is not useful. It is very easy website and overpriced.

We were trying different platforms to see what is best feasible for our business. Then we discovered this platform and thought it was a good idea to subscribe to test it. Since they do not have a trial period, we paid for the yearly since its cheaper. then after going into more details, we found that this platform is not as good or effective as we thought. Very bad AI, definetely not smart, artwork is repetitive for most videos and not related to the created content and it is so hard sometimes to find a good photo or video for the content we had. AND everytime you close the video and comeback to the same one to finish editing, you have to regenerate it (its not saved) so they will deduct credits from your account again and again. Which wasted a lot of our time and didn't give us the quality we need. ON TOP OF ALL, when we requested to cancel, only after 3 days, the company was very strict that we wont get any refund, even though we are not going to use the platform and we already did cancel. Thats a very bad way to do business, so stay away from this platform. REPLY TO PROVIDER COMMENT: We have reached out many times regarding the refund since we paid for a year and we are not using the platform at all but you weren't supportive or understanding at all. You actually asked us to understand that you are a small team which is not our place to do. we are also a business and paying money for something we won't be using just because you don't have a trial period so we can test is not acceptable and any reputable company would have understand this situation.. We actually fought through emails and your replies were even more frustrating which caused us to add negative reviews about the experience. So good luck I hope you are now treating your customers much better and not just seeking money out of them!

I bought the pro plan. When I clicked voices I got one choice, Kyle. I would like to be able to find the 50 plus voices but they are not showing.

Update: If you have your screen size set at more than 100% the voice choices are hidden. I let Anton at vidogen know about the experience.

Now that the voice dilemma is solved, I am enjoying his easy to use product.

I first purchased the $5 package and then upgraded to the Pro package, hoping to create videos longer than 3.5 minutes. However, I was disappointed to find out that I needed to purchase the $99 package to create longer videos. It was unclear that the 5000 characters of the script only equated to 3.5 minutes of video. To make things worse, the company has a strict no-refund policy, which feels unfair. They seem more focused on taking your money than providing quality service. I would highly recommend avoiding this service at all costs.

I have subscribed to the Pro version of the product, paying $20 for a year, under the impression that this subscription would allow unlimited usage. However, the maximum video length is only 3 minutes, and the amount of usage per month is insufficient for someone who is in the learning stage of video creation. I believe Videogen should clearly explain all subscription options in advance or allow users to subscribe for one month to try the product.

This is a really good tool and makes video production easy and accessible. It’s great for creating YouTube ads for use in Google Ads Performance Max/Discovery campaigns etc for which creatives are often hard to obtain. Videogen makes it easy to create short videos for client promotion. They may not be enterprise production level, but I’ve made videos professional enough to please a client and with very little cost because the time saving versus Adobe Premiere or similar is insane. Don’t expect a million features, expect a simple user friendly UI that allows you to create simple and effective videos with built in AI that assists in the writing of scripts. The stock video repository could use some expansion, but you can easily provide your own videos. The text to speech is also good quality and the British voices have natural language flow. Overall, definitely recommended and exceeded my expectations

Impressed with VideoGen! It excels in its current capabilities, offering a unique combination of text-to-voice, text narration, and AI generation or file import (a big thing for me!- many did not do it) in one user-friendly platform. As someone who's tried multiple tools, VideoGen stands out for its efficiency and all-in-one functionality. Highly recommend it, and the customer service is top-notch too!

VideoGen is so easy to use! All you have to do is describe the content you’d like it to create - the subject matter - and it creates a beautiful video in less than a minute! It makes life so much easier for content creators, and the end product is very professional looking. I’m impressed!
