Awful experience. Agents not knowledgeable about what is on the market. Was a mistake to use very apt. Got an apartment on my own using zillow and trulia after ditching this awful service.

Out of State Apartment Search

We had a very positive experience using VeryApt. We were paired with Idaliz Santiago. She was great! We are not in Philadelphia so it was an extra challenge to deal with someone not in the same state. Idaliz was so helpful and professional. She answered our emails, sent us lists of available apartments and set up appointments when we arrived in Philadelphia. Idaliz spent the whole day with us looking at apartments and connecting with realtors. When we had an appointment the next day, Idaliz couldn't meet with us because she had class. However, she sent a colleague to make sure we were taken care of. Our visit was successful: we found an apartment! Idaliz wasn't done: she followed up with information for the move to Philadelphia in the fall. Overall, we would highly recommend Idaliz and VeryApt.

VeryApt helped us select and sign an apartment that we absolutely love in just one week. Since we were moving from India, we were not aware of the available options in Philly and had to view apartments remotely because of the pandemic. We didn't even know where to start. Kyle Lisicki (our assigned advisor) first patiently understood all our requirements and then helped us curate a list of great properties. He went out of his way to accommodate the time difference and was always available to clarify our numerous doubts and questions. His helpful and empathetic approach made all the difference to our search!

I worked with Idaliz Santiago and she was exceptional! She was extremely responsive throughout the process (answering my calls, responding to my tests and emails all within a couple of hours at most) and gave me detailed responses to all my questions. When I finally picked the apartment, she handled all the communication with the landlord and made my part of the process very easy and seamless. I also really appreciated her thoughtful and gentle demeanor that made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. I highly recommend her and the VeryApt service overall!

Brooke was absolutely fantastic! Apartment hunting during COVID times, in a never-before-visited location, without being able to physically tour apartments is incredibly stressful - or was, before I started working with Brooke.

She gathered my requirements and quickly sent me a comprehensive list of all apartments in the area with personalized notes on how they fit my needs. This was followed by pictures and apartment videos of the buildings I liked, along with connecting me with the building managers.

Once I shortlisted the final few, she happily took me on Facetime tours of the units I liked (as many times as I wanted), answered all my questions in detail, and helped me pick out the perfect apartment. In fact, I think she made the process more streamlined, effective and personalized, than it would have been if I had visited the apartments myself without her help. Definitely work with her if you're looking for an apartment in the area!

She was INCREDIBLY helpful with her advice and insight about various buildings. I really appreciated her transparency and honesty, as well as her gentle, low-pressure demeanor.
