I absolutely love my Verbalicity Spanish Skype lessons with Carolina. We have connected twice a week for 2 years. She is excellent on all aspects. I have no fear now in speaking even though I know I am making mistakes at times. She gently corrects me but doesn’t interrupt the flow of conversation.

Carolina has an unlimited supply of interesting lesson ideas for grammar, verb tenses, vocabulary and conversational skills. She is well educated in the approach of teaching an adult student. I am always in awe of how well read and knowledgeable Carolina is. Not only has she been teaching me Spanish but now I am much more aware of many other global topics and current events.

The Skype lessons are always start on time and the Skype quality is excellent. Rarely have we had Internet problems affecting the quality of the lesson.

My teacher's name was Julia. I totally appreciated her ability to adapt the teaching to my situation, and needs. She could slow adjust things to fit my ability on the day - some days are better than others - and made it a lot of fun. I will continue to learn from her and appreciate the flexibility of making appointments that fit my schedule, which changes.

I have had an amazing time learning with Verbalicity! My teacher Julia is patient, but corrects me when needed, and is such a great conversationalist, always able to prompt me to use new vocabulary and explain myself in different ways. I have used their services for just over a year now, and while I have almost reached my language goals, I will continue to meet intermittently with Julia because of the opportunity to keep myself sharp.

I'm a big believer that to truly learn a language it's best to live it but travelling and living abroad are not always possible. Verbalicity has been a perfect solution for me. Although I am sitting in my own living room during my lessons, it feels authentic as I work with my teacher who is in Guatemala. The lessons are tailored to suit my needs and level of Spanish and my grammar has improved greatly in the last few months of Skype lessons. As a busy person, I really appreciate the flexibility in when and where I can take my 1 hour lessons. I highly recommend this program to anyone hoping to learn or improve their Spanish!

I am really enjoying learning Spanish through Verbalicity and in particular with my tutor Paolo. The lessons are structured to my learning goals and are great fun. Paolo is very flexible to fit in around my schedule and make changes to lesson times if needed. He is very supportive and encouraging especially when I am struggling with a particular topic or exercise. Although one to one learning is very mentally intensive I always get a great energy buzz from our lessons. I also enjoy the fact its not all about the language but learning about the culture and country too. I would thoroughly recommend learning this way to anyone.

When I first heard of Verbalicity, it made all the sense in the world to me. For those who didn't have time for a real immersion experience in a foreign country, this was the next best thing! Considering I was fixing to launch a restaurant concept in Austin, TX, I needed to quickly ground myself in the Spanish language. Verbalicity paired me up with Carolina, a Guatemala native, who was certified to teach English. She quickly assessed my Spanish speaking abilities and went from there. Carolina was always punctual, friendly, patient, and assigned helpful homework to prepare for the next lesson. Before choosing to go with Verbalicity, I looked at the cost of local one-on-one lessons in Austin, which were $40+/hr. Since I knew I would need 100+ hours, I wasn't quite ready to make that commitment. For less than $20 an hour (since I bought a block of lessons), I was able to had a virtual "face to face" session with a qualified instructor. I have spent a very pleasurable 40 hours conversing with Carolina, and my Spanish really improved. We worked on all 4 aspects of the language- listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Since speaking is what made me most nervous, we concentrated there. I highly recommend this service!! Taking advantage of the internet to better your foreign language skills can't be done any better than with Verbalicity.

It's fun to tell a great story in Spanish. Every week I see and hear things that I think, "That's going to be a funny story I'll tell my Spanish teacher this week. It will get the conversation rolling!"

For me, Verbalicity is the superior choice for a few reasons.

First, the ease of speaking via Skype means no commuting time. I just work at my desk, and when it's time for my Spanish dialogue, the bell rings and I am in the class.

Second, the 1-on-1 instruction is the best way to do it. No classrooms, and you work at your on pace. It's just all speaking Spanish the whole time. And the teachers are great.

Third, the price is right. Local tutors want $50-$80 for an hour of their time. Verbalicity costs a fraction of that.
