Very bad, stay away if you can.
Had a policy for 5 months, switched vehicles and was advised that they can't provide insurance with the new vehicle and hence was cancelled.
The executive didn't say a word about any charges, as cancellation is not from my side, they can't provide insurance on the new vehicle.
Now got a mail after 20 days asking for the payment for the rest of the year along with cancellation charge added to it.
Tried calling multiple times, hold the line-15mins-rings-call gets disconnected.
Insurance itself has become complicated and expensive, added to it are Agents such as these squeezing more.

Sold me two policies for the same vehicle at my renewal date. Then having taken my direct debits on both, told me that not only would I not be getting my money back but they would charge me to cancel one

I cancelled my policy whilst in credit
I cancelled my policy whilst in credit, owed days of insurance . I was told over the phone I was owed £25 which made sense and influenced my decision to cancel. I was then given 3 other fees at a later stage which I wasn’t happy to pay because it didn’t reflect what I was told over the phone. In the end they decided I owe £244 which They handed over to debt collection team effecting my credit score. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy insurance company

I can see that the refund was pending your most recent Direct Debit being successful, and unfortunately the payment defaulted, which naturally put your account into arrears. There was also a discrepancy with the outstanding balance that required correction later on, and I am sorry for the confusion that caused. I do appreciate that being given different figures at different stages is far from ideal, and I apologise for that.
I also want to acknowledge that we did attempt to reach you regarding the outstanding balance over a period of time before the matter was passed on, and I am sorry that it reached that stage. That is not the outcome we ever want for any of our customers.
I would very much like the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you directly and do what I can to put things right. If you could return my call, I would genuinely appreciate it. Your experience is very important to us, and customer satisfaction is something we take extremely seriously.

Went to cancel my policy as I have sold the van. Nearly £200 in charges just to cancel. Beware of this company, the guy I spoke to could barely explain the costs, he just kept saying that’s what it says on the screen. Lots of hidden costs if you cancel mid policy.

When a policy is cancelled mid term, the outstanding balance will reflect the remaining amount on your finance agreement after any applicable credit and charges have been applied.
