Wow I actually won! I enter on and off, and I won the instant prize of £500! Within ten minutes of sending my ID and bank details I got the bank transfer.

UPDATE: COMPANY RESPONDED TO MY REVIEW 6 MONTHS LATER - naturally they will have “forgotten” about the concerns I raised at the time ….. it’s been a while. Based on that, I’m not tempted to reinstate my account either.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:I find it extremely disappointing when companies ask for feedback and then respond negatively or in a patronising tone when the feedback provided isn’t glowing. Feedback is not a personal insult — it is simply that: feedback. It is offered to help improve services or customer experience. When it’s given politely and constructively, it should be received in that spirit. If a company isn’t truly open to feedback, then it shouldn’t invite it.

My recent experience with this competition site has left me feeling discouraged. While I was once a strong supporter of the company and its aims, my confidence has been undermined by a dismissive and stroppy response to my measured comments.

A particular concern I’d like to raise involves the promotion of instant win tickets. Whether intentional or not, these are heavily pushed and can be especially problematic for those of us with addictive tendencies. The format is clearly designed to be engaging and rewarding — which I understand is a part of the business model — but it can also be dangerously compulsive. I found myself repeatedly buying ticket after ticket chasing a win. The low cost of each ticket contributes to the problem: small amounts feel inconsequential, but they add up quickly.

Of course, this is a business and profit is a priority — I don’t object to that at all. But I do believe there is a real need for more visible and proactive measures around responsible gambling. Supporters and regular players deserve transparency, tools to manage their behaviour, and a tone of respect if they raise concerns.

I was also frustrated to find no obvious way to close my account. I’ve paused it for now, and I’ll reassess in six months to see if the direction of the business — particularly the focus on instant wins — has changed.

It’s a real shame, as I genuinely supported the company and wished it success. I wouldn’t have left a negative review at all had I not received such a poor response to what I felt was fair and helpful feedback.

I recently won a prize on Vanlife and opted for the cash alternative. The funds were in my account within five minutes of sending my email! A great site with very good prizes and very well run. I'll be using at least some of my winnings to enter some more competitions!

I have always been very sceptical of these types of competitions and whilst I won’t do any others with VLC I do it with total confidence of the transparency that they always show.
