Bought V&H 450 Torquer slip on exhausts. Within 7 months they completely rusted through the can and the alloy tips flaked and lost their chrome. The body of the exhausts rusted around the mounting points. I always wanted a harley, and to own V&H pipes after hearing them so often. To say I am disappointed is an understatement after spending £650, and only being on for less than 7 months. I don't live near the coast or have subjected them to any excessive moisture and kept them clean. In the end, I opted for S&S Mk45 slip ons.

The Vance and Hines company customer’s support team of Mark and his so called supervisor Cindy Ponce. Was extremely degrading and callous towards the fact that the power dual header I purchased cracked at the weld. Clearly a manufacturer defect as shown in pictures I sent them. Instead of replacing at no cost. Wants to replace for, at first over $300.00, then went to down to $189.00. Telling me they would send me a replacement but I have to cover manufacture cost. So disappointing from a company I have dealt with for so many years and so many products.

In all my years of biking, I never came across a more unreasonable company as the California based Vance and Hines. I paid $550.00 for a new aftermarket Vance & Hines slip-on exhaust that rusted beyond use in less than 2 months.

I belong to a forum and let all know about my experience with Vance and Hines. Other trusting V&H customers came forward with the same problem. Appears to be a significant fault in the engineering of the Vance and Hine's slip-on exhaust for the 2023 Honda SCL500. The use of a 2 1/2" pipe that will rust badly, regardless of weather conditions, is Vance and Hines problem at hand. Their warranty guidelines to swap pipes, at owner's expense, will not solve your problem as the replacement pipe will rust badly too.

You really should man-up and give all of us who trusted your family owned business a refund.

Used it for several months, but started getting some strange reading saying that there was no ECU present. My motorbike suddenly broke down and has been unusable since. The ECM is damaged and, according to the Harley dealership, they have seen this several times. So, £520 for a new ECM + fitting charge + retune - the FP3 has cost me around £1500.
