Raj misinformed me concerning the size that the photo needed to be for the form. After I sent an email including a picture ofthe form including the photo, he confirmed that the photo I had provided was suitable and that I would receive my visa on the Tuesday if I posted it on the Friday. I then went to go book my flight for the Thursday after which I expected would be two days after I received my passport back.

Two days later Raj called me and told me that the photo was not correct and now that I would not receive my visa nor passport until the day after my flight. Raj was very rude to me on the phone exclaiming that I was trying to blame him for my mistake and was very hard to cope with, very bad customer service.

His alternative was that I travel to Manchester on Thursday morning from Cambridge to pick up my visa and return to London the same day for my flight at 15:00, which in itself would cost me about £400. In the end, I had to pay £270 to change the day of my flight in order to receive my passport and visa included.

Overall, bad customer service from Raj. Next time I will go to the embassy in London.

I wasn’t in the UK at the time of my visa application. I sent it in two and a half weeks before I left for China. After a couple of days, I sent an email and rang to check the progress of my application as I was getting a bit anxious to receive my passport back before I fly.
Swift replies from Raj and a couple of phone calls to sort everything out. He was a great help. Very good service!
