Did well explaining all the options I had and getting forms to me and paying out but gave me wrong information on the amount they were paying me & denied it was wrong until I took them through the calculation.
Also totally messed up the tax paid, even though it was supposed to be emergency tax and couldn't explain how they had got to the figure they had.

Average performance just satisfactory
As a former Equitable Life customer I find Utmost satisfactory but the management charges are OK but the results are I feel are very average.
The website is not very helpful and doesn't seem to have been updated in years. Online management doesn't seem possible as far as I know and finally the level of advice available to someone not based in the UK is inadequate.

Very slow response times....be warned!
Whilst the online portal and investment choices are on a par with other companies, when it comes to actually getting access to your money the timescales are very poor and longer than other companies I have dealt with. If you have a policy in drawdown allow at least a month for you to actually receive a payment. Why it takes 10 to 15 working days ( in reality up to 3 weeks) just to get a quote and the forms uploaded to your online portal I have no idea. They need reminding this is your money they are taking weeks to pay out ..... and if they tell you the timescales are usually shorter than those quoted don't believe it!

Consistently Better Returns than Others
I have multiple pension savings and investments across 4 different countries. Since I transferred pension savings to Utmost 5 years ago, they have each year achieved the best returns of anything in my portfolio.
