AVOID UTILITY BIDDER or be very careful with the small print
After looking for a new energy supplier Utility Bidder found me a new supplier and very quickly encouraged me to sign up.
My existing supplier had made a mistake sending me a renewal letter so i thought it was ok to switch.
After 3 days i found out that i couldn't move.
I emailed the supplier to cancel the agreement.
4 weeks latter we received a threatening email from a no win no fee company Pre Action stating that the small print in the contract meant we owed utility bidder in excess of £1500.
I at all times acted in good faith and there was no checks or attempts by Utility Bidder to see if it was ok to move.
This is a very unethical way to raise revenue from individuals that they know don't have the knowledge when it comes to utilities, there answer is read the contract small print

Thank you for providing more information.
Typically cases are sent to Pre-Action as there has been a breach of contract, usually when another contract is agreed elsewhere that therefore prevents the initial contract from going live.
We can see that we have sent email communication to you highlighting that another contract should not be agreed for those meters, this is also explicitly stated within our Terms and Conditions. This was issued prior to another agreement being taken with your incumbent supplier. Unfortunately, there cannot be two contracts for the same business meter(s) which has therefore resulted in the contract completed through Utility Bidder to fail.

Great Customer Service!
We have been using utility bidder as a business for a short while and Nizam is absolutely amazing! We recently had some issues with our payment terms with a supplier, in which they refused to budge (we wanted to extend the payment term days) with me but Nizam managed to get them to extend from 10 days to 30! Great work! Would highly recommend using Utility Bidder and especially Nizam!!
