Unitech.qa : avoid this company!
Avoid this bad service company Unitech.qa .
For .com domain names, Unitech.qa is only a .com domain-name Reseller, they are not an actual .com domain-name Registrar. To check which companies are accredited .com Registrars, check official ICANN webpages for .com accredited-registrars listings. You can check yourself, and find that as at the date of this writing, Unitech.qa is confirmed not on the list.
Unitech.qa is not a .com Registrar, so they rely on, and partner with, a .com registrar behind the scenes and that happens to be the disrepute enom.com . The parent registrar of enom is the disrepute Tucows.
Its public information that Tucows had already bought over enom.com, so these two disrepute companies are now of same owners.
As at the date of this writing, checks at feedback sites such as Trustpilot and others shows both Tucows and Enom having around 80% to 90% bad reviews of only ONE STAR out of five. Implying, a lot of customers had been victimised or abused by them.
For Unitech.qa as a company their inexperience shows when I first started becoming their customer two-plus months ago, with transfer-in of my .com domain-name, they communicated with email to me regarding official domain-name business but using generic hotmail, which exposes how unprofessional they are, and how lack of security they are, as that can open doors in future for hackers or criminals to be able to impersonate them (by just using hotmail email accounts to impersonate and then can cheat or victimise their customers).
Sounds weird right? But that was how unprofessional they operated at that time.
Back to the main topic, as a dissapointed .com customer of Unitech.qa, my feedback is avoid this company, as it appears Unitech.qa also give customers the type of problems that the disrepute Enom.com and the disrepute Tucows had history of, giving problems towards their customers.
I had given Unitech.qa simple instructions to disable the privacy for my whois contact lists, but now two days later they still had not done my instructions, or rather I would say they still refused to do my instruction.
If you thinking of becoming a .com customer of Unitech.qa , dont! Avoid such problem-giving company. If you are already a customer, then seriously consider moving your .com domain-names out of Unitech.qa (and especially out of their disrepute registrars Enom / Tucows.)
