Working Hard to Combat Scammer Abuse
Initially this review was quite negative. After contacting UltraViewer support, I have updated my review to reflect my experience. I was honestly blown away by both their dedication to stopping scammers and their willingness to listen to feedback.
Scammers used this software to RDP into my grandmother's PC. They attempted to trick her into paying them money and tried to gain access to her bank account. So as RDP software, it certainly works.
I contacted UltraViewer support regarding the scammers and received a response in 24 hours. Thanks to the detailed log files that UltraViewer records, I was able to provide information to their team so they can block the scammers. Which is awesome.
More than that, the UltraViewer team quickly took one of my suggestions to heart and added a dedicated link to their website so users can easily report scammers. To me it is evident that they are taking the scammer situation seriously, which is quite admirable and not something I expected.

It is an automatic response from our mailbox, in the letter we said that we will reply to the message as soon as possible. Because the software is free and there are many free users who contact us for normal technical support on a daily basis, sometimes we cannot answer all technical questions in a timely manner for free users. However, we always respond to scam related issues. All reports of scams are recorded by us. We need some time to reply and due to the timezone difference our company has. I thought they were helpful- but they told me I had to go to town within the hour to get a gift card to pay the $400 I owed - I told them I am 75 live 10 miles out of town and could not make it - they said I could have 2 hrs—- I hung up on them

Customer support unresponsive, Contact number cannot be reached not accessible
I installed Ultraviewer and was having issues about downloading files to my students computers remotely. I sent an email to support but did not receive any reply. I tried calling their number but is it not working.
I only wanted to know how I can download files to students' computer and can I send the files like 10 mins before their test and would they be notified if I sent it earlier? I wanted to send the exam at least 10 mins before the test so I can send the test to all 15 of them and they can open it all at the same time.
I don't post my email on public forums, let me know to what email should I send my order number so you can assist me with my problem.

I think you have confused us with some online scammer. Some scammers out there are abusing UltraViewer Free and we're working to stop them. They just call you and tell you that they're technical supporter from any company and tell you to download UltraViewer. Please double check who contacted you, the phone number and full name of the person who contacted you, and how they contacted you. Please give us more information and double check again, if it's not us, please remove this review.
PLEASE add a scam call warning to your page headings
A scammer just called me claiming to be from Amazon Prime. I was told that $99 annual subscription fee was about to be deducted from my account and press 1 if I would like to cancel.
They asked me to go to your page. I knew it was a scam, but wanted to see what info they had on me. Full name, phone number and address. PLEASE can you place a warning on your home page as the first thing people see when they click on your page. It then makes the scam ineffective.

We understand that some scammers are using our software and we're fighting against them, not only us but other remote desktop software also being the victim of scammer abuse too.
Adding content headers to the website won't stop the scammers, the scammers can easily make another website with their own content or use other remote control software (there are many remote desktop software on the market that you can easily find, all without warning on their website header). In addition, they can also convince users to ignore the scam message by many ways, because users already believe they are from big companies. The scam message also affects normal/well-intentioned users, who make up the majority of UltraViewer users so we're getting hard when adding it.
We have taken the necessary steps to make sure that the remote IDs can no longer be used for illegal purposes and we are constantly working on new methods of finding and blocking such users. Please report the IDs of the scammer to abuse@ultraviewer.net so we can collect and block these IDs from using our software. You can get the ID of the scammer in UltraViewer's Log file. Please go to menu File > View logs to see the log file.
We can assure you, we are not associated with any of these instances.
We advise UltraViewer users to be careful with unsolicited phone calls and to not grant access to your devices to anyone you do not know or trust.

I was being verbally told by an internet support service I purchased several months ago I “Must” go an open my computer to let them rectify software they had entered into my PC. I was told they were already watching the activity of my PC and it was going to crash if did not let them fix it immediately. Suspicious, I declined. I found Ultraviewer had been downloaded but no other software on the day I initiated service (or any thereafter). I contacted Ultraviewer via email. I was guided on how to check if in fact a remote person had only one time access or permanent access to my PC. The scammer did not have constant access as they claimed-fortunately ! I did take further measures for internet security on my own through Microsoft website. Ultraviewer support was very prompt, within 1/2 hour of my initial email and future correspondence the same. There are times when Netgear & Eero support need access with my permission with software like Ultraviewer-but beware of scammers trying to visit your PC.

technician was rude. never gave me his name. just that they were a global tech company. Basically just told me how to do a download and set up. wanted to know what website I was using before my computer was locked. I disconnected the call and began to serch for reviews and to find out if this is a legitimate reason to company, but why are you trying to cell me more software when I have Microsoft and McAfee protection for for that.

The company does not deserve one star because it is not their fault. But they need to address the scammers by providing a warning saying never share your computers with strangers and that you are not Microsoft, Brother, or any other tech support. From what I read your company has safety features in place that would stop the scammers from getting sensitive data and I hope this is the case. Once the topic of financials came up I took control and disconnected. So please add a warning to your software of some sort so people know not to share with strangers even if it seems legitimate to solve a problem quickly on a computer.

After getting to the victim's PC, they may do bad things. We did not sell anything to you as you mentioned. If you purchased anything from us, please show us your invoice or any proof. THIS PROOF THAT SCAMMERS REMOTELY ACCESS MY COMPUTER. This is the scammer’s information. The computer 38719592 (LAPTOP-L962V92Q) has just lost the connection to you. May be the internet connection in 1 of 2 sides has trouble. Please check your internet connection and tell or wait your partner to reconnect to you. It all started when they hacked into my computer with a fraudulent alert signal.
I was working on my computer when I got a Fraudulent Alert on my computer to call Microsoft. I call Microsoft and a woman name Ms. Rose Carter Employee ID: MS180244 claim to be a Microsoft Technician. She told me to go to Run and type in Ultra Viewer on my computer, then to install it on my computer. Then she told me to give her the User ID and the Password for Ultra Viewer. I gave it to her and she accesses my computer remotely and scans my computer and told me there were some fraudulent activities and a virus called Trojan on my computer. After that she told me to check my email and my bank account to see if my money was still there. I told her the name of my bank and my zip code. She told me to log out of my account and give her the phone number on the back of my bank card. She then calls the phone number to my bank and connected me to Mr. David Starks from the Fraud Department. He asked for my Debit Card numbers, and I gave it to him with my zip code. Mr. David Starks told me there was a transaction for $8,000 transaction pending on my account. I told him that I never authorized such transaction on my account. Basically, they used my information to stole money from Department of Labor and put it into my account. Now they want me to get 16 Prepaid Debit Cards naming Sephora or Target so I can put $500.00 on each card which adds up to $8,000. I checked three stores and they told me they don’t sell those types of prepaid debit cards. I told them I am going to the bank and they told me to get $10,000 cash and not to let anyone know about the transaction. It took me an hour to get to Flushing Bank. In the mean time Ms. Rose Carter and David Starks were still on the telephone. If they are working for Microsoft and Flushing Bank why they are still on the phone with me don’t they have other customers that need help? Anyway, I got to the bank and I spoke to Ms. Santiago about the problems I was having mean while the Scammers were still on the phone listening to my conservation. Ms. Santiago checked the Flushing Bank employee workers list and told me that they don’t have a Mr. David Starks working for them. THIS IS WHEN I REALIZED THEY ARE BOTH SCAMMERS. THEY USED ULTRA VIEWER AS A TOOL TO SCAM PEOPLE OUT THEIR MONEY. I GOT PROOF THIS IS THE SCAMMERS LAPTOP INFORMATION. The computer 38719592 (LAPTOP-L962V92Q) has just lost the connection to you.
