Visited leeds train station at 11.30pm, it was dark and rainy, and busy with traffic.
I drove down the road, and needed somewhere to wait for my eye and daughter to come home.
I pulled over to read a sign. It said no stopping, £100 fine. I looked at a map to find somewhere I could park. I was there for just a few minutes, then left.
They sent me a parking charge.
I appealed.
I received no response from them, and the parking charge disappeared from their online portal.

Then, two months later I got a letter from Trace debt recovery.

They have told me there's nothing I can do, and that I have to pay!

They can try!

Leeds station parking near Witherspoons , I'd no idea it was a No Stopping zone. Will UKCPS take me to court if I ignore them? How are people to know they should be looking for sinage? With works ongoing there's enough to look out for.

More like zero. Absolute scammers of a company. Should be ashamed of themselves, as should Leeds Railway station for using this company as a money maki g outfit. £60 fine for stopping for 18 seconds.No point appealing as no response and virtually uncontactable with the time their call handlers are available

Absolute crap.

No way to contact them, only one number on the website and they do not discuss fine over the phone, everything must be in writing, physical office is not accessible by people only can be by people who work there.

14 day discount, doesn't even apply since got the letter close to ending date, etc

Absolutely rubbish place.
Sent a parking ticket to me for an offensive by the previous owner.
You can't call these people as their only number is open only between 11am until 1pm and then they cut you off.
They write to you as you are guilty and treat you like a criminal.
I'm not obliged to let you know of YOUR error but I was doing so out of politeness.
You don't answer the phone, so keep sending the tickets. I'll explain in court along with my claim for expenses

Overnight Airbnb stay at a Leeds venue. Why can I not stop outside the venue to unload heavy luggage and try and find the apartment in the maze?

appealed my ticket on the 3rd oct as i wasnt the driver and they didnt send my letter out until after 14 days of the notice, i appealed the same day got nothing back so was sent a debt collector letter and said they had emailed me on the 15th Oct i have received nothing no email no letter to confirm the outcome of the appeal now i have to pay £170 in instalments as i just cannot afford this. I will be completing a complaint its not right and they didn't email me back. I want this ticket resolved and just able to pay the £60 or nothing at all as this wasnt my fault

This company is a bunch of thieves, they gave me so many tickets for no reason and it’s just not fair, council should stop them robbing innocent people.

My recent experience with UK CPS has been nothing short of disgraceful. I received a £60 charge for a 15-minute stop, during which I was genuinely trying to figure out why I suddenly wasn’t allowed to park in a place where I’ve parked twice before without issue. I even attempted to pay for parking on the spot, only to discover I couldn’t.
I appealed, explained the situation clearly, and provided evidence showing it was a genuine mistake — the sort of thing any reasonable company would at least review. But UK CPS didn’t bother. No consideration, no acknowledgement of the circumstances, nothing even resembling a fair evaluation.
Their so-called “appeal process” feels like a pointless box-ticking exercise designed to rubber-stamp charges rather than actually review them. It’s predatory, rigid, and dismissive of honest mistakes.
If you’re expecting fairness, transparency, or even basic human logic from UK CPS… don’t. Based on my experience, they appear far more interested in revenue than in any notion of customer service or reasonable handling of genuine misunderstandings.
Avoid parking in any area controlled by UK CPS if you value your time, money, or sanity. This is one company I will never have anything positive to say about.

No way to contact them no reply emails only can’t talk to anyone. Appeals do nothing I suffer from bad anxiety. Awful experience £360 pound parking fine for parking in my parking spaces with my number flat on it with the parking pass displayed on the window in the picture they took.

Clearly trying to take money from a 92 year old disabled lady and Starbucks customers.

Dropped my partner off at leeds station (39 seconds) she has a heart problem. No adequate signage on the journey up to the rear of the train station. People crossing the roads none stop on the way so even if there are signs you aren't able to aconowledge them easily as the pedestrians safety is paramount.

Received a £70 fine which came via europcar which cost me £35 as I am waiting on my new motability car - previous car was rejected as it was dangerously faulty and injured me.

Contested the fine and because I contested they have increased the fine to £100 which wouldn't stand in court as fines cannot be increased just because they want to.

When asked for evidence of the signs visible from the drivers position when travelling to the station they have ignored this and doubled down. I have not agreed nor consented to a contract.
I have already been fined £35 from europcar because they had to forward the letter.

The fines are disproportionate and are not there to enforce compliance but to create revenue via bullying tactics.

Cones and barriers blocking the original drop off point. No grace period to understand the changes.

No evidence provided as requested and told "as the appeal process with us is now closed we will not be entering into any further correspondenceregarding this matter"

Refusal to engage is unreasonable under consumer protection law.

Appealed a parking fine. No acknowledgment. No response in the stated time. No number given on the fine letter. Phone lines close at 1300hrs. Dreadful service. Am considering a counter claim for breach of contract.

Absolute disgrace, fined for stopping behind a queue of 20+ cars. Absolute joke and shame on leeds council for employing this band of charlatans

Didn't want to even give them 1 star but I got a parking notice which I appealed .... never got the appeal discision .... just passed on to another company where the cost went from £60 to £170

Absolute scam and ridiculous

£60 fine to drop a family member off at Leeds Train Station, either pay it or a CCJ is coming my way, unbelievable, no wonder the UK is in turmoil with firms like this!!

Unable to find ticket online, unable to see any pictures taken, no response on call when you press 2 as call drops.

Instead of complaining here I think people should report them to

By phone: 0808 223 1133 so they can be reviewed for their unlawful trading standards.

This Ukcps are scam they they not answering the phone and it said from 11am to 13pm but as soon as you select option 2 the phone will disconnect and you make appeal automatically after 2 weeks you receive unsuccessful. I have received 3 tickets after 2 months. They will keep you doing the same mistakes then all you get them very late .
