Booked a dog sitter on 29 June and cancelled it 4 hours later because not got confirmation and then booked another sitter on same sight. The dog sitter is happy to refund and dog Buddy is very slow to repay. I’ve sent them the message from the sitter confirming all ok but still it’s been 19 days and 6 emails and there are now two Lisa’s in customer service and I’m been passed between the two without progress.

Dog Buddy software allows you to book and pay but doesn’t immediately confirm. Therefore you don’t know if the booking is accepted and it can be declined, so you can’t be sure you have your sitter all sorted. If declined, some time later, you have to find another...

Poor experience from this, having used them since 2012.

I have been using Dog Buddy since I lost my husband last year.
Ace, my dog was always indoors with my husband so was very used to not being on his own, I needed to go away and needed someone to look after Ace, I found Elisabeth through Dog Buddy and he has been well looked after whilst I have been away,

The support I have received from DogBuddy has been consistently first-class. The staff are very pro-active, knowledgeable and motivated. Having such an excellent organisation as the basis of my dog-sitting work makes the whole enterprise an absolute pleasure.

I am currently going through DogBuddy with my own Dog Walking Business. I find DogBuddy easy to use as a business as they keep track of all my bookings so I do not need to keep carrying a diary around with me all the time as I can just use the App to track everything. I can let the owners know how the walk is going for there dog(s), and keep them updated with images or videos. They can also track the walk with the GPS tracker on the App as well, so they can see where I have walked there Pooch. DogBuddy also has very helpful staff members that will answer any questions you may have regarding health problems, ensuring you are doing your best with the dog(s) you are walking and giving advise when needed.

I also find that dog owners will have peace of mind leaving there dog with someone who has been verified by DogBuddy as they do extreme checks to make sure you are who you say you are etc.

I think DogBuddy is a great way of finding the best dog walking/sitting/boarding services in your local area at good prices and having that peace of mind that they will be safe and secure with that person.

I also like the fact that owners can leave you a review after your service, just to let other people know who is best to go with.

Our border terrier, Bertie, had a fantastic time when boarding for five days with Gabby. We knew he was safe with his own GPS collar so she could keep track of him whilst he was enjoying the freedom of the farm and all the other dogs and animals. He made lots of friends and also had fun and cuddles with the children, which was brilliant for his socialisation. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gabby, and to know he was snuggled up at night in the house with all the other dogs was reassuring.

Mackay came back so much calmer after being in the dog sitter Rachel's house, much much better than kennels, they experience the human home touch, this is the 4th time I have used this service and everyone of the sitters have been fantastic, I always recommend to dog owners who are a bit worried about leaving there dogs with a stranger, a stranger the first day a friend the rest of the time

Loved finding Gavin for Winnie and Renee and very happy to use Dog Buddy again.
Two very chilled chocolates came home and I never had a moments doubt that they were in the best hands.
The whole thing was straight forward and worth every penny for peace of mind.

The last time we were separated from our 2 dogs was quite a few years ago and after an unsatisfactory experience with a Boarding Kennels, we decided never to use Boarding Kennels again. This was our first time using DogBuddy and we were a bit concerned that our "Babies" would be unhappy. Far from it, we had a pre booking meeting and walk together with Helen and we booked very soon after. We were impressed by the fact that what had become the norm at home, going anywhere in the House and being stoked and spoiled all through the day, would be replicated at Helen's house. Whilst we were away, we had regular texts on how they were reacting and behaving and we were very impressed and relieved that they were being so well looked after. We were away for 3 nights and when we picked them up, they were fine. We're already planning our next trip, safe in the knowledge that Harry and Sally are in very safe and loving hands.

Great and really helpful easy to use service. Finding a dog sitter easy and communication all simple. I’m impressed!

This is a real shame to have to alter my review. In the beginning DogBuddy where excellent, they sent out regular updates and where interested in how their sitters where doing.

Then they where sold to another company and it has been downhill since. Most recently I have had my listing changed to limited during one of the busiest weeks of the year, with no warning what so ever and no means of being able to rectify the issue. When I have tried I have only received useless and rude responses from their staff.

I have now had to move on to greener pastures, such a shame they where really good to start with.

I joined DogBuddy with a view to making dog care a full time occupation. It offers reassuring insurance for both owners and walkers and the escrow payment scheme is reassuring, although can delay payments if you have a long term booking (I had a six week booking and got paid once it was complete). I haven't rated DogBuddy five stars as they have an expectation I should respond to enquiries in hours, but feel it's acceptable to take several days to respond to my queries. I have advertised and publicised my services with fliers and business cards, but six months down track I don't currently have a viable on-going income and have predominately day care and boarding, not regular walks which generate a reliable income. I appreciate that DogBuddy have invested in the application and provide insurance, but would urge potential users to review the charges before committing. The fees certainly seem to deter repeat bookings. Good application, fair support but at a cost.

I was thrilled when I looked on google to find day and boarding care for my American cocker spaniel Cooper. I filled in the easy form on line.
To my surprise there were several that could help out straight away, I immediately had replies from which seemed dog loving people. There was one family right near where we lived, a beautiful family second to none with children . Cooper loves children he's a very well behaved dog , cute looking. Well groomed, still very puppy like. He was a good boy. All through my day out (which I couldn't take him as it was too hot... a heatwave! ) Lucie the carer, messaged and sent pics of Cooper enjoying himself and settled in well. We were so at ease and Lucie made us feel confident in knowing that Cooper was safe and happy. I can certainly recommend DogBuddy to anyone. What a good idea! A big Thank you to you all, will certainly be intouch again in the near future when needed.

I have been working for DogBuddy for just over a year. I find this service they offer very slick. It's a great way to marry together attentive dog owners with conscientious and loving petsitters.

The whole of this service is fantastic, I wish it was all over the country.
Many people worry about leaving their best friend with strange people, I left my dog with around 6 different people and my dog never wanted to come home from having a great time with her different carers, they are all experienced previous or present dog owners and I wouldn't use any other service.
Many of the sitters have great reviews from other users of this service and it's lovely to read reviews and get the same, high-quality service.
Trust this site and trust the carers, your dog will tell if it's going to the right place as they can feel if they find a kind and caring sitter, their instinct is better than ours.
I wouldn't be without DogBuddy, it really is great to find something like this and have peace of mind, while I'm at work, knowing my dog is having a great time, with the many sitters who send regular photos and videos throughout the day, that is the great service I expect and that is what I get.

Dogbuddy has been a life saver for me and my beautiful Frenchie. I have met many carers but we settled on a few who have become trusted friends and a big part of our life. This is an amazing site, the people are super duper pet lovers and give only the best care and I can go off to work knowing my adored dog is in the best hands.

Dogbuddy is a great site for dog owners who wish their dog to have the best care possible, while they are away. The site is easy to navigate and l would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Helen who was Lexi’s pet sitter was absolutely fantastic she has a wonderful nature very friendly and reassuring person highly recommended to anyone that I know and will definitely use her again to look after Lexi for me especially when I go to New York in February for 12 days so I’ve given her plenty of time to book Lexi in for the 14 days. I registered with dogbuddy 8 months ago, as a first step to becoming a dog walker / carer, and have met some amazing dogs and owners in that time. With my profile and price structure online, owners can see what they are getting before they enquire. The dogbuddy admin and support team are really helpful, and the peace of mind I have knowing I am insured, and there is veterinary advice on call lets me just enjoy looking after the dogs.
