This place was such a disappointment
This place was such a disappointment. We went in to see if they could help with a black laptop screen. The guy immediately reported that we needed a new screen- without much investigation- and that it would take more than a week to fix. My son walked out to call his dad and the guy behind the counter became aggressive reporting that if we leave the store we will not be welcomed back. He calmed down a bit and called the owners assholes. They can see us on the store cameras and would not want us back ever! Never going back!
Was told they do PS3 Drive repairs
Was told they do PS3 Drive repairs. Took them 2 months and me contacting them to reveal that they further broke and shorted the drive. They refuse to say sorry or acknowledge how they damaged the console further. They lie and say they were going to call 2 days ago as well. STAY AWAY if you want to repair anything of value, they do not know professional repair.
Worst Customer Service Ever
This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had. My interactions with Tory and Ethan were especially disappointing. I genuinely felt they intentionally gave me incorrect information, which caused me to waste my time and walk away with absolutely nothing resolved. Their dismissive, unprofessional attitude showed no respect for my time, money, or concerns.
As a consumer, you expect honesty and basic professionalism, neither of which I received from them. Because of this experience, I’ve decided to cancel my Asurion plan through AT&T and take my business elsewhere.
There are insurance companies out there that actually value their customers. Worth Ave Group, for example, covers a wide range of devices and offers straightforward service without the hassle of dealing with unprofessional employees like Tory and Ethan. Consumers have options, and I’m choosing one that treats people with respect.
Needed a battery replaced in a Goggle Pixel 8.
Needed a battery replaced in a Goggle Pixel 8. Don't have insurance, but Tech at S. Gilbet location researched if there was anything anyway. Wasn't, but I really appreciated the effort. Had made reservation, & work was done in less than 3hrs, as promised. Given price up front, that was the price paid.
Kept promises. Phone is as good as new.
2nd time I used UbreakIfix for technology issue, & I'll go back next time there is a need.
Never go here
I went in for battery and back glass replacement. The techs didn’t properly seal the phone and within a day moisture built up inside. They refused to fix it and said I would have to buy a new phone even though they didn’t seal the phone to Apple standards because “it’s not possible to seal it like factory” I didn’t even realize but after looking at my phone they didn’t even put the 2 Penelope screws back into the phone. I bet this missed a bunch of other stuff
I BROKE IT YOU DIDNT FIX IT! I brought my Bose Amp in for repair…
I brought my Bose Amp in for repair because they didn’t fix it the first time and I can’t live without my music. The day it was supposed to be fixed I guess I wasn’t paying attention to the time and I walked in the store 5 minutes to 10 am. I stood in the store looking at the products on the wall when the manager came in through the front door with trash can that he just emptied. He immediately told me to get out and that I was trespassing? He was visibly upset like I broke into the store and he caught me red handed. I left and came back an hour later and he had my Bose amp wrapped up with 50 layers of heavy duty Saran Wrap telling me to take my business elsewhere because I’m not welcome and to never come back again because I was trespassed. Look if you don’t want people to walk into your “public store” then maybe you should lock your doors when you dump your trash. That guy was very rude and has no idea what he is talking about plus he cut parts off my amps motherboard and didn’t even fix it. I’m pissed cause all the staff there are really cool guys who do great work but that manager is a joke ! Who should have apologized that he left the door unlocked and he was caught off guard instead he made it worse by trespassing me permanently!
READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW
READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW. Wish 0 stars an option. What the hell. AFTER breaking the screen you were supposed to fix and refused to give a warranty PROBABLY because you knew you messed it up. I am a broke (not just sorta broke, I am so broke I go to the pantry for food) college student, and you scammed me after ACKNOWLEDGING your prices were higher than they should be. No sympathy. No empathy. Just cruel profit-driven intentions. I can no longer afford to fix my phone AGAIN right before break. My phone was moderately alright before you guys touched it. Now, it is obliterated inside and out. Thank you very much. I can't believe that you can look at a college-aged girl, struggling to breathe when the price to fix her only point of contacting her family 1000 miles away, and then say "Yeah, you weren't expecting that price were you." I am appalled. As I sat for three hours, missing two classes with mandatory attendance to get my phone fixed, it took another hour to get the wifi password to not be stranded in the middle of Gainesville. I have worked customer service. I understand it is not easy and there is a lot demanded of you. However, I never lost my integrity in the quality of service I provided. I frequently go and HAVE GONE out of my way, into personal inconvenience, to ensure a patron's exemplary experience. Ubreakifix has failed to do so. Never in my life, have I had a cooperative of adults so abhorrently dysfunction. Put ME in the back, cause I am damn near sure, at least then something might be done correctly at this establishment. I saw the quotes you gave other people around me. You scammed more than one old person. Appalled. Disgusted. I know see your gross business practice as Asurion parent company. You offer "insurance" and then have your services fail. Wow. You have reminded me, that there truly is evil left in this world. Not only have you scammed me, but I can guarantee you also fail to pay your employees a livable wage. Wow. Failing me, AND the people who work for you. I have learned that companies who play dirty, make dirty money. I hope you are happy you got $250 of my $800 a month paycheck (mind you, before rent). Because obviously, I know how to invest in my education, but not in a scam. Unfortunately, this being the first time I have ever been scammed so badly, I used to have hope for humanity. I am an optimist. You, my friends, have made me not only a pessimist, but a nihilistic one at that. I would have rather given a charity the $250 directly since apparently the first expenditure was a waste of money. I hope the big boss Guru Gowrappan knows that USC is only relevant because everyone knows that the only reason your school is considered elite is because you allow rich white people with ACT scores below 20 to be admitted. USC or "University of Spoiled Children". Embarassing. I guess this makes sense why you scam poor people because it is all you guys know. I can only hope that this review on Google helps at least one other poor college student stay away. Thank you for reading this. I'm sure no one actually will, but it is always worth a shot. As they say, shooters shoot.
I woke up to a terribly glitching, inoperable phone…
I woke up to a phone with a bright white flashing screen. Tried to do a factory reset. Nope. Took it to Verizon and they had me take it to Ubreakifix in Southlake. I was afraid it was likely a software issue and absolutely could not be fixed and I was leaving in 2 days for Italy. Katherine (Kat) greeted me and was very professional and pleasant. She performed a brief diagnostic and advised she thought it was a disconnected cable inside the phone affecting the screen. Turns out she was correct and had me fixed in about 30 minutes. If you go, ask for KAT. I'm sure all the technicians are good. But she ROCKED it!
Terrible service all.around
Terrible service all.around. I took my sons xbox to get the hdmi port repaired/replaced. Picked it up afer a week and it came back with the disc drive making a strange noise and turning on by itself every 5 minutes. They never tested it because it made a loud noise when it powered on. I immediately took it back amd after two weeks it was determined to be unrepairable from the damage that their repair person did. Had to get their corporate approval to get a replacement xbox. Now waiting 2 more weeks to get the replacement. I will never use or recommend this company ever again..Just terrible service.
To potential customers
To potential customers: stay away and never sign up for their "insurance." The store salesman (in Sarasota) said, after a few days, they'd have to send the computer to Orlando for repairs. They then gave me an estimate of $199, which I approved. Uubreakifix failed to message me, as promised, when the computer was "ready." I finally contacted them. It had been sitting there for a week with a "unrepairable" sign. I asked for the diagnosis. The salesman said he'd have to ask the manager before printing it out. I finally gave up and left, after he waited on a line of other customers first. So, no report.
You'll find the Asurion insurance (same company, it seems) next to impossible to cancel; the salesman in ubreakifix will sell you the insurance but "can't" cancel it, in spite of his promise that you can easily stop the monthly payments by canceling it. Good luck: the company has NO instructions on the website as to how to cancel. When I pointed this out to the salesman when I picked up the unrepaired computer, he gave me a phone number for canceling. (This is a scam-like business trick: make it hard to cancel.) Fortunately, I tried the phone right there. It didn't work. He gave me another, which worked. I was promised email confirmation within a couple of hours. I still don't have any such email.
I will not recommend them and BEWARE
I will not recommend them and beware, it is a scam. Those people charge over $300 to replace the screen and if there is an issue with it after you leave the store, they will not fix it. Take it to Apple if you have an iPhone. You get Apple part and you know it's done right.
YouBreakIFixIt in Helotes, TX is a scam, you have been warned.
Misleading ad, poor customer service
I left one of their stores a moment ago without accepting service. The store is located in Bellevue, TN, at 7043 US-70S Unit C, Nashville, TN 37221.
The technician did not have a good attitude. He wouldn't let me tell him what happened to the laptop. He kept cutting me off and giving curt responses, and saying he has been fixing computers for 35 years, and he'll know where to look. The attitude was off-putting.
He then proceeded to charge a $60 non-refundable fee just to open the laptop. He tacked on taxes and an additional 2% credit card processing fee.
Meanwhile, it was clear on their website that they would check your laptop for free, and you only pay for the repairs.
First don't let them up sell you on the…
First don't let them up sell you on the the insurance they sell to make the phone repair cheaper it doesn't take effect for the first month. Other then that quick and easy repair service that was not cheap but not to expensive. I would have given 4 star if not upselling useless at the time service but that was on me I admit to a point.
They broke my xbox
I had my xbox sent to them through Asurian/Verizon home device warrant. My xbox 1 had overheating warnings on the screen, I could turn it on get to the home screen but it shut down in a couple of minutes.
They sent it back to me, the problem was thermal paste reapair. but now the Controller needed to be paired all I see is a back screen with a controller with flashing x button. WTF am I seeing this when this was not an original issue? I shouldnt be pairing a controller on this device when I never had to do so before. UbreakIfix people screwed this up somehow. I refile the claim send it back to them.
I get an automated vague text message from Asuran that xbox is fived and being sent back claining that it is working. I get it back same issue, no pairing controller with device. Claim gets reiled again.
I will keep writing bad review to ubreakifix until this gets resolved.
Take your electronics elsewhere to be fixed
My xbox series x quit working so i took it to ubreakifix because their add said free diagnosis. The employee at the counter said I had to pay $65 for a diagnosis because they would have to take it apart. After two weeks I had to call them because they hadn't called me. Turned out it had already been fixed but Nobody thought to let me know. All they had to do was reset it which doesn't require being taken apart however they still charged me the $65 diagnosis fee plus an additional $65 to reset it.
sloppy diagnosis, estimate too high
My macbook was broken, I took it to uBreakiFix, after a brief check they said that the screen must be replaced and gave me an estimate of $900. I then took it to Apple, they did a thorough test that took more than 3 minutes, verified that the screen was the only problem, and offered to replace the screen for $590.
Took over 7 hours to just fix a phone…
Took over 7 hours to just fix a phone screen. they let my phone die by leaving it sitting all day in the back. They kept telling us times to come back and saying itd be another hour and being snappy with us. On top of all of this THEY DELETED VIDEOS AND APPS ON MY PHONE WITHOUT MY CONSENT. So many memories of mine and my friends just permanently wiped away! dont go here it is not worth it.
Incompetent customer service
Horrible. Drove an hour to get there before they closed. Phone screen broke, they had the parts to fix l but said inventory didn't show it for asurion claim system so they could not fix. I asked Michael if he could call customer service to have them fix inventory and he laughed and said no they would get mad at him. Would not help at all. Did not care that we drove ao far. Very incompetent and I would not recommend this store.
They can't actually repair anything.
I brought in two laptops for repair. I should have known something was up when they started quoting exorbitant rates and then offering massive discounts if I just signed up for their insurance plan. I got one machine back a couple of days later. It worked for about an hour before the issue began recurring. I took it back. They held it and the other for nearly a month before calling me back to say they still couldn't fix either one, and needed more money to take a wild guess. I ended up going in and paying $200.00 to pick up two laptops that were in the exact same condition as when I dropped them off. It then took another half a day of bad accents to get out of that useless insurance plan. What's the point of insurance with a company that can't actually fix anything?
I came to this location for a Galaxy…
I came to this location for a Galaxy phone repair under Samsung Z Assurance and the experience was very disappointing. One technician told me he could only see my appointment and had no claim on file, and said he needed a “processed claim” before entering any information — even though they never created one. Then another employee came out and said my appointment was actually for the next day, told me to come back, and couldn’t say whether they would even be able to fix the phone. No one provided clear guidance, and it felt like the staff were unprepared and unwilling to help despite being the only location with the needed parts. Overall, very unprofessional and unorganized.
