Il manquait des pièces dans le kit. Le SAV n'a jamais rien voulu savoir. Si quelque chose n'allait pas, c'était forcément de ma faute. Ils semblent ne jamais reconnaitre aucune erreur. Il a fallu que je commande à mes frais les pièces manquantes pour faire marcher l'ampli. De plus, la qualité globale est moyenne. Les prises jack en particulier sont en plastique, et présentent de mauvais contacts. Je déconseille fortement ce site. Il en existe d'autres, dont les tarifs sont peut-être supérieurs, mais qui sont beaucoup plus sûrs.

Le transformateur et la petite lampe témoin du kit ne marchaient pas. J'ai soigneusement vérifié les tensions délivrée par le transfo, et elles étaient très éloignées de ce qu'il fallait. La petite lampe rouge était grillée, ce qui est très simple à vérifier aussi. J'ai renvoyé les deux articles au SAV, et là, ils m'ont dit, photos à l'appuis, que le transfo et la lampe fonctionnaient parfaitement. Il est très probable que la lampe testée sur la photo était une autre lampe que la mienne, de même que le transfo. Il aurait alors fallu que je paye à nouveau 19 Euros de frais de port pour faire revenir des pièces que je savais défectueuses. J'étais piégé. Du coup, j'ai commandé un autre transfo sur un autre site. Celui-ci marchait très bien, et j'ai pu faire fonctionner l'ampli. Pour moi, ces gens sont des escrocs. J'invite tout le monde à s'en méfier

If you get defective tubes out of the box, tubetown will gaslight you for installation error or "exceeding the operation limits" and refuse to replace the defective tube. Terrible customer service. Used to be a long term customer. This was my last order.

Did more then 10 orders during the last 10 years. Tubes, socket, pots, misc passive parts, knobs, a few face plates from the laser shop and a T-Rex cabinet including speakers. Prices totally ok.
Never had an issue with the delivered products or complains about the customer service. Always got a swift reply on questions.
Two remarks:
1) This is a small shop - do not expect imediate replys.
2) We are talking about DIY. Do not expect other people to solve your problems. The forum might help you but it is your task to get your project running.

I bought an 18W TMB DIY kit in 2023 and it worked fine. The parts are great value for money compared to other shops offering DIY kits.
The documentation was very clear and straightforward for my project.
Now, after nearly two years of use, I have retrofitted an FX loop, which was also easy to integrate. I also built a power soak at a reasonable price.
Recently, I had to contact the team to source a capacitor. I sent a few emails in one day and received an immediate response from the Team to wach of my mail, who solved my issues to my satisfaction. Great customer support!

I wish I could give negative stars. Owner seems to have almost no knowledge about electronics and musical equipment.

I bought a speaker from them that arrived in faulty. I reported this to the company. They asked me to make recordings in the ways they specified (I am a professional musician, I'm making a living from this for 30 years). which I sent. Even after that, they did not admit that the speaker was bad, even though the American manufacturer did so based on my recordings, and apologised (which I forwarded to Tube-Town). After that I had to cancel the purchase and return the product to them with my own cost! This item is now back in the webshop as a new speaker available for purchase. Their communication is below anything I have ever encountered. I do not recommend buying from them to anyone.

Stay away ! Do not trust these people.... Terrible service..... This whole business seems like a fraud.

Nice assortment of tubes, transformers and other components, reasonably priced and shipped quickly.
The webshop should however provide more detailed info + datasheets for some products like power transformers.

Placed several orders (worth 870 euro, since February this year).

One of the products was a metal case (eur 27) that had multiple knife scratches (from unpacking clearly). This is the beginning of a story that took too long for me.

The shop did sent a 2nd one that also had the same type of damage (same unpacking event?). After some mails and sending multiple photos for evidence I offered to buy a new but visually inspected case. This offer is ignored unfortunately. The shop wants me to send both cases and fill in a form with part numbers and descriptions and the such. This takes too long for me, I replied in an email.

The fact that I received two transformers (EUR 169/piece) from two different series (and slightly different assembly) for my stereo amplifier was also not very satisfying. But they where cut & soldered already before I saw it so it has become my problem I think.

For me, enough reason to not come back to this store. I want constant quality that doesn't take weeks to get it.

I have been buying parts from Tubetown between 2 and 3 years now ... I am an amp builder so have bought a lot. Their service has been consistently good/very good throughout this time. They have a great selection of parts and some I find difficult to get elsewhere at their pricepoint. They are cheaper than tubeampdoctor and stock a bigger variety of parts. Someone mentioned Banzai ... I wouldn't really compare TubeTown with them. Banzai are fine but my experience is longer wait time and much smaller offering (suspect this is due to things like speakers being ordered direct from the US on occasions and taking a lot longer to deliver); I also suspect they hold a smaller amount of stock than Tubetown. I am buying from the UK so get hit with VAT if I spend more than £135. Agree on delivery limitations. I have to spend 18-20 euros for a delivery ... TubeAmpDoctor are actually cheaper ...13-14 euros. However, all in all ... very good.

Super fast shipping, but a little too expensive, a lot of items, I haven't had any problems with that store yet, I definitely recommend it

Good products and prices. But bad service. No answer to mails or calls at all..

On the other hand (Banzai sucks...) Tube-Town is excellent! One week and I have my ordered stuff.
And even extra sweets! :D Really nice. Well packed.

Good that I haven't order all from Banzai. Still waiting for the delivery (33 days now). And Tube-town was ordered the same day. Came after 7 days.

Commande d'un kit JTM45 et diverses pièces. Colis reçu une semaine après, conforme à la commande, bien emballé.
Donc bon fournisseur de composants et pièces pour ampli à tube, prix "normaux". Par contre il faut impérativement être "connaisseur" car il y a peu de critères de recherches et les descriptifs sur le site sont succincts.

They stock quality components at very fair prices! All my orders have been handled and shipped out withing no more than one day! Highly recommended!

Excellent company. They have many specific parts for tube amplifiers that are difficult to find in conventional stores. Prices are low at a very high level of service.

The only big disadvantage is delivery only through DPD. This is very distressing.
