I ordered a custom-made oak desk from TRL Furniture for my home office. They were very pleasant to deal with, and the quality of the finished desk is excellent.
A minor mix-up with the delivery dates cost them one star, but to their credit, they resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. Overall, I'm very pleased with the desk and would happily recommend TRL Furniture to anyone looking for high-quality, custom-made furniture.

Poor quality and unacceptable resolution

Ordered in April, delivered late, and unusable due to sap running along the seat. The replacement was also covered in sap spots. TRL’s eventual “solution” in September was to paint over the sap, leaving the benches looking like spotty leopards — a far cry from the quality advertised on their website.

Customer service responses were reasonable, but resolutions were painfully slow and wholly unsatisfactory.

Think twice before buying from this company.

We ordered a table from TRL on delivery it was very poorly assembled and damaged. After trying to reach out to TRL for resolution. They promised a response , and have subsequently ignored follow up emails. We are extremely disappointed and would strongly recommend not buying from TRL.

The service from TRL was remarkable - my table was delivered in ten days from ordering. The delivery was made whilst I was out and not assembled due to the weight of a full table. However, on request, the guys returned the next day and assembled the item in no time. A first class service and good follow up monitoring of my order.

Working with TRL furniture has been fantastic from start to finish they helped us with a design and get a table perfectly to our requirements we purchased a table for our mum’s birthday and she loved it will definitely be doing business with TRL again

After paying an additional sum to have a table made to a non standard height the table arrived after 6 weeks. Unfortunately however it wasn’t made to the correct height. After a further 3 weeks waiting and numerous phone calls a set of legs arrived which had to be swapped over so we had a table of the correct height. Throughout the process of waiting for the replacement legs I found TRL to be unable to tell me when the correct legs would arrive. I also was unhappy with the finish on the table top but decided after all the hassle involved in getting the height of the table resolved it would be easier to sand and reapply a top coat myself which I have done.

An absolute shambles of a company that repeatedly left us waiting for deliveries. Now 9 weeks since order and having been waiting for an 11.50am delivery slot it eventually arrived at 8pm. The table was wrapped only in kitchen cling film and had several large dents on both sides which required polyfiller being applied by the delivery driver - given the time required to dry, sand and re-stain the surface and that it was 8.30pm by the time it had been assembled, I said I'd repair the damage myself however the damage is too extensive and TRL have refused to provide a repair or a replacement. Overall the table is of average quality and frankly not worth the money.

A positive note - the two delivery drivers were superb and did everything possible to help but were clearly exhausted having been on the road for 16 hours.

According to the workshop staff who answered the phone all customer service staff go home at 3pm which explains why emails can go days/ a week without being answered.

Never ever buy from this company.

I've been using my height adjustable standing desk for just over a month now and i am very happy with it. The solid wood top is good quality and looks great in the corner of my dining room where i work from home. The controls are easy to use and it raises and lowers quickly. I have saved my seated and standing height as a preset memory and that makes it perfect every time.

I have a couple of specific requests that were slightly different to the advertised desk and they were accommodated easily. I spent a lot of time researching standing desks so i knew exactly what options i wanted.

The delivery guys came and built the desk in my house for me. It was pretty complicated so i am extremely glad this service was included in the price. I got the impression they had not put a standing desk together before so i am sure future deliveries and builds will not take as long as it took them a couple of hours along with having to go and fetch additional tools from a local DIY store!

Quick and accurate response to query. They have been proactive in communications. Not seen the products yet as they are not delivered but so far so good!

Fantastic product

The product is great, very happy with it, the delivery experience could have been a bit better, overall though very good.

Excellent customer service. They kept us informed and delivered on time. Our table was put together and set up in the room we wanted. After care was excellent and the table looks perfect.

Like to leave it a while before writing a review just to see how the product lasts, so we ordered last year and it was delivered just before Christmas,lovely looking,solid wood top and was set up by the delivery guys can’t fault that part.
Then we noticed (and heard) a noise from the kitchen to find several screws had literally snapped off,we assume to the central heating being on,which is kind of a manufacturing problem,maybe the screws being tightened too much,so as not allowing for the natural movement off the wood,but surely this is a design error and not the customers fault,we have also recently noticed the black coating coming off the table legs,again not good enough for a table less than a year old.
So I wouldn’t recommend

A beautifully made piece of garden furniture. Fulfilled our expectations.

We love our new table! The quality is amazing and you can see the care put into it. Customer service was great and delivery was faster than expected! Highly recommend.

The order was delayed by weeks and the varnish has peeled off the bench over the summer. I would not recommend.

My rating is entirely related to the appalling customer service. The bench when it did arrive at 9:30pm on a Friday evening, 3 months to the day from the order date, is lovely and clearly well made. Following the failure of the first delivery date there were at least another 3 promised delivery dates that fell through. On every occasion we had to initiate contact by phone or email, we were never contacted by the company. It is very unfortunate that the customer service does not match the excellent craftsmanship
