From booking to sadly leaving, the Treehouse Retreats were exceptional from the detailed emails and meeting Jane who checked us in and made us feel at home.
Two nights were not enough but as well as the relaxing walks around the Cowdray Park, we walked into Midhurst and enjoyed a few drinks and meals.
The Cowdray farm shop stocked enough products to be able cook meals or you could eat at the cafe next door.
We stayed in Chukka which has great views overlooking the polo fields to the Cowdray ruins and has an outdoor bath with private seating area to watch the sunsets.
Tastefully decorated and very clean with modern touches, we slept very well in the king size bed!
A great indoor rainforest shower to wake you each morning!
Also an outside tap handy to wash off your wellies or dirty dogs!
A separate hallway with storage for coats and shoes leads you to the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with smart tv and bio fold doors opening on to the wrap around terrace.
A peaceful and beautiful setting which I would definitely recommend and return!
A lovely part of the UK - 45 minutes away from the dog friendly beaches and cafes too!

We were warmly welcomed by Victoria who was available throughout our stay. I loved having the use of the buggy to drive to and from the treehouse! The treehouse itself was top notch, so thoughtfully designed and decorated and absolutely everything that we needed for our stay was included. It was surrounded by beautiful tall woodland trees, completely private and sooo relaxing. The food hamper was much appreciated as well as the gift voucher that we used in the farm shop and cafe. Dawn awakenings by the bird chorus were wonderful and it was really peaceful just to sit on the veranda area with a hot mug of coffee watching the baby deer, squirrels and pheasants. Top marks for the outside bath tub, underfloor heating, huge comfortable bed, kitchen facilities and the many luxurious comfort accessories. We didn't want to leave! Thank you very much again Victoria for all of your help.

The Tree House Retreat was fabulous experience from the moment we arrived to a warm and friendly welcome from Victoria. The golf buggy drive to Lodge Wood felt like an escape from busy life… the Tree House itself (Griffin) was luxurious and well appointed. A real home from home with a generous welcome basket. And bi-fold doors opening onto a raised terrace amongst the trees and quiet woodland felt like a real connection to nature…

Dog friendly and with many walks around the Cawdray Estate. Being able to shop at the wonderful Cawdray Farm Shop was brilliant.

A genuinely relaxing and very enjoyable stay with friends (who had the neighbouring Tree House).

We will definitely return.

Perfect staycation. The treehouses are beautifully designed and have everything you need. The outdoor bath and golf buggies are a great addition. The people are very friendly and accommodating. The estate is beautiful. Will be back!

The Treehouse exceeded our expectations in every way. Beautifully appointed, cosy and calming. The location is excellent- so many options even within walking distance. The local farm shop - superb! The warm welcome from the team - faultless. Thank you so much . It was the perfect treat for my husband’s birthday.

The tree house retreat was fantastic. It was spacious and so beautifully decorated. It was warm and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The outdoor bath was a fun touch. It was also incredibly clean. Highly recommend.

I had the most relaxing break at the treehouse retreat at Cowdray Estate. No expense was spared in the decoration and supplies of the treehouse. It was comfortable and in a fabulous location so that me and my dog could follow all sorts of walks right from our doorstep. Will definitely be returning!

The treehouse was superbly equipped, warm, cosy and calm. The location is brilliant, gorgeous farm shop and cafe close by, trees and green everywhere, charming towns close by.
Beds very comfortable and buggy driving such an added bonus to the experience. I’d definitely go back.

We have just had the most fabulous chilled weekend at the treehouse! It is always difficult taking teenagers away but this ticked so many boxes. The golf cart was the icing on the cake and we loved popping to the very well stocked farm shop and cafe. We managed to find binoculars and spent the morning watching rabbits and pheasants from the balcony. We had everything we needed, the treehouse is decorated beautifully.
I feel like we have had some much needed family time, thank you so much!

A really magical stay. The tree house was perfect in every way, and the team at THR couldn’t have been more helpful. My wife and I (along with our 3-month old baby) had a perfect few days away, enjoying everything the local area had to offer and relaxing in a wonderful, comfortable setting with everything you could need on hand. The standard of finish of the houses is top notch, and the hosts are so accommodating. And the local farm shop is a must! Thank you for a truly special stay.

My partner and I stayed last weekend and had the most relaxing break. The grounds of Cowdray are beautiful and allowed for us to get a really great walk into the village in. The treehouse is amazing, with all facilities to cook in at the ready and the comfiest bed. My partner even braved an hot outdoor bath in the minus temps, he loved it! An all round really relaxing break from the city and we will most definitely be returning, we’d love to see the polo in the summer! Thank you Victoria and team for your hospitality, it is unmatched.

10/10 stay, they thought of all the little touches. Well decorated, very clean, well designed. Lots to do in the local area. Beautiful setting. Highly recommend
