Buses are consistently delayed

Buses are consistently delayed, trains are overcrowded and busses are often dirty. Garbage and food spills are a common sight. Despite annual fare increases, service quality has not improved. Passengers continue to pay more while receiving unreliable and unsatisfactory service.

January 12 bus 555 leaving logheed…

January 12 bus 555 leaving logheed station at bay 8. The bus never came from 5:30 till 8 pm. 1 bus came around 6:30 load 2/3 of capacity with empty seats and left. No more busses. Line was huge. No explanation. We took an Uber and hwy was empty. Why? What? Total ignorance. Hey translink! What we are paying for??

Best driver for 157

Today at 157 towards Lougheed , bus P14016 about 2 pm . The lady bus driver, with a very short hair. She was one the most polite , nice, friendly , most of all very good driver. Before the bus starts its route, I ask her something and she was wise, sweet , positive and full of angelic energy. She was greeting the passengers and saying good buy. She deserves A big Salute. Thank lady Driver.

unreliable commute system

unreliable commute system during the rush hour. the bus didn't show up except NIS buses are on the road. why do the people on monthly pass pay for the continually increased fee without receiving the basic service they deserve. don't know the standard of the train station cleaning.the cleanliness level of the train station floor is pretty much the same as the area near the garage bins. it's disgusting. also the drivers who are under training should never be on the rush hour schedule.

Such a waste of money

Such a waste of money. They complain it costs too much to run busses but i see empty busses everywhere.
Maybe have better schedules, maybe have busses show up on time, or maybe just provide a service that works. I waste so much time that its more cost effective to uber in town or just walk. I save time AND money.. thats how bad this has become.

Customer service doesn't care about…

Customer service doesn't care about your feedback. They only send automated reply emails but they don't actually do anything with the complaints they receive or work to correct their issues or staff.

The buses are always late or completely missing altogether. If there's supposed to be three busses at 2:00, 2:15, and 2:30 for example, you'll be lucky to see the first one at 2:10 and the third one at 2:40 but the second bus just never shows up at all.

They frequently pass by without stopping even if the bus is NOT FULL. Doesn't matter if you're waving your bus card at them as they drive past.

Drivers will often refuse to give you a transfer even after you've paid your fare.

Drivers are unsafe, frequently failing to signal or respect traffic lights and stop signs. The only way to report a driver is if you're able to catch their vehicle number and guess at which bus stop is closest to where they almost ran you over. If you get run off the road by one you have no recourse and this has happened to me multiple times as a pedestrian with the right of way in broad daylight.

Many drivers don't seem to understand how gas and brake pedals work, I've seen multiple people hit the floor because the driver slammed on the gas with no warning while people were still walking back to find seats or something to hold onto. The ride is often jerky and very rough.

The rear doors don't always work. Sometimes they do not open even when you press the open strip or open bars, so you have to scream to the front of the bus and hope the driver allows you to exit the bus before driving you away from your destination.

Editing in, tips to survive translink:

- bring double fare if paying cash in case you have to pay twice

- leave 30 minutes early for short trips and 60 minutes early for longer trips

- find something to hold onto immediately upon entering the bus

- assume that if you are a pedestrian, the bus driver cannot see you even if you're right in front of the bus in broad daylight. Don't trust crosswalk and walk signals, look out for the bus because it will not look out for you.

I transit a LOT

I transit a LOT. So I get a month pass.
This time, their transaction failed. The money came out of my account, but no pass.
They were of NO help. Zero. I called them to dispute. I called them again to request a refund.
They just told me to call my bank. Of course the dispute with my work takes many many business days. So now I'm having to pay out of pocket each day just to get to work while my funds are in limbo. And it's costing me more eac hday.
They don't pro-rate the month passes either.
So by their inaction, they are costing me money....which I don't have a lot of...
It's ridiculous and I wish there was another way to get to work each day.

Customer Feedback goes nowhere

Customer Feedback goes nowhere. Many drivers are not suited for busy routes or peak hours. There are drivers constantly late during early morning hours, way before peak hours. Feedback complaints will get you nowhere as they're protected by their union. Never heard back. There should be a way to complain directly to CMBC. They would singing a different tune if this was private non-union company.

I wanted to take a moment to commend an exceptional bus driver, Aman, who truly went above and beyond in customer service. As a regular rider who catches the bus daily, I found myself just a few steps behind due to traffic lights, and I thought I’d miss the bus. To my surprise, the driver recognized me and made the decision to stop the bus for me, even though I was running a little late. If I’d missed it, I would have had to wait another 20 minutes. His kindness and attentiveness made my whole experience with TransLink so much more positive.

Aman’s actions were a perfect example of outstanding customer service, and it completely changed my perspective on using public transportation. Thanks to his thoughtful gesture, I’ve decided to stick with the bus instead of driving. It’s rare to encounter such customer-focused service, and I truly believe TransLink would benefit from recruiting more drivers like him. Good drivers like Aman make a real difference, and this experience has made me realize that transit can be a far more pleasant alternative to battling traffic.

Thank you, Aman, for going the extra mile—it’s these small yet significant moments that help build trust in public transit. If all drivers adopted this level of care and attention, I’m sure more people would opt for the bus over driving. Just wow!

I want to express my deepest thanks to everyone involved in helping me get my backpack and all of its contents back. I am so grateful to God and to the person who found it and gave it to the driver. I truly appreciate each and every one of you, and I will never forget your kindness.

I as a senior who has lived in Canada…

I as a senior who has lived in Canada last 40 years am planning to make a Youtube for Translink! It is unbelievable how incompetent they are and how rude the drivers are!! I am also thinking to make an account on google and write and write and write about it. I am walking a lot to avoid taking a packed bus with drivers who don't care!!Incompetent... incompetent... incompetent... and rude!!!

Some of these driver like putting on a…

Some of these driver like putting on a saf crying show once in awhile on the news or news paper about getting attacked maybe someone cut them. But I can see why even though i don't support violence. They're
but when they see you're running to the bus only seconds after they shut doors to drive away and don't stop. If they want to dish it then too bad they gotta take it. I'm sure they're rude behavior is why they get consequences that's life and maybe the need to be more respectful. They need a course in respect

I payed for 2 zones monthly pass…

I payed for 2 zones monthly pass yesterday's morning. I went to Paterson station to meet someone and was coming back in about 10-15 min, and it doesn't let me in! I called customer service -- he put me on hold for another representative for a half an hour. I tapped mashine -- it demands 1,65$ more from me! and this is not first time. I am sorry, but money do not fall down from the heaven for me, i work very hard, i have damaged my back badly, working so hard, why should i always time from time pay more then arranged???!!! i was told before i did not tap, when entrance did not work and was opened, ok, i did tap today, and again the same !!!! Next day i went to the local translink office and my money was returned to me. I guess because of little sume.
BUT NOONE NEVER WILL RETURN ME MY HEALTH, DAMAGED BY STRESS IT CAUSED TO ME EVERY TIME IT HAPPENED.
I could get one more monthly pass if count all money they took from me when their gates did not work. For this purpose the Compass was created?

Ones i went to Richmond with my friends together in their car, and when i was coming back to Vancouver by skytrain i was charged extra again.

Do you really consider it is fair?
Why can not i go anywhere with my friends in their car or should bother them to drive me back, if i have payed my monthly pass?

I never had problems like that before that Compass came here. I was buying monthly pass and worker in skytrain or bus checked time from time. No gates -- no problems.
If that time some people were dishonest and did not pay, why I should pay for that now, being treated unfairly on a regular basis?

RIDICULOUS

The Compass Card is like $6 which is overpriced. Their Bus drivers are so rude!!! their "New Flyer" buses they advertise i only see every 30 minutes. Their schedule thing is so hard to use and is absolutely trash
