Sorry John, but I must completely disagree with your rating.

We will wear this 1 star review with pride as I believe your 1 star rating reflects more on you as a customer than us as a business. I challenge anyone to read on and disagree.

All our other ratings say exactly what good service we provide to our customers. We try to go out of our way to provide excellent customer service.

Just for clarity, here is a chronological list of what happened:
You ordered your tyres on Sunday 31st May and we received your order on Monday 1st June at 10:00.

We sent your tyres out to you on the same day, on the standard 2-3 day delivery that you had selected on your order but the tyres usually arrive within 24 hours, we just do not advertise this as we refuse to put our reputation in the hands of a delivery company.

You emailed us 4 times on the morning of Tuesday 2nd June, stating you wanted to cancel your order but without explaining why.

The first email as at 08:21, the 2nd was 08:29, the 3rd was at 08:31 and the 4th was at 10:14. Each email was progressively “to the point” than the previous email.

I replied to your email at 12:30 the same day (that’s 2h 30m after we officially open). In that, I explained to you that I was out of the office on annual leave, so I had limited availability on the phone but I would contact the person looking after the tyre orders and get it cancelled for you.

Even I cannot answer the phone 18m beneath the Red Sea.

You left this rating 10 minutes after I replied to your email.

In reality, it wasn’t that simple to cancel your order. Your order was on a van, less than 2 hours from being delivered to you so I had to deal with the situation myself whilst on annual leave.

Any other company at this point would have said to you that the order was already dispatched yesterday, and you’d have to return the goods at your own cost as well as lose your delivery charge from the original order.

We did not do this though. I contacted the delivery company and arranged for the goods to be returned to us rather than you have to go through the process of returning them and having to pay to do so.

We also did not charge you the original delivery fee to have them shipped to you.

Doing so, we saved you at least £20 on returning the tyres to us, not to mention the hassle of returning a set of tyres. We also took on the cost of sending the tyres to you which is £15 + VAT to us.

At no point did we question why you wanted to cancel on the day of your delivery, nor did you offer any explanation in your emails.

In short:
Your order was due to be delivered 29 hours after we received your order.

Your order was cancelled the same day you requested it to be cancelled, despite already being on a van for delivery.

You were never charged a single penny for the tyres.

You were never charged for the delivery and we saved you the time and money on having to return them to us by going out of our way to contact the courier and have the delivery stopped only 2 hours before it was due.

The location on maps is of my home address where all my Ltd business are registered. Why would you even start to look this up having not had a response to an email 4 hours after sending it? I think you have some issues, John.
