I love Thread. I’ve been using them since 2016. They have all the top brands with quick delivery and easy returns. What’s not to like?

It's more effort than browsing sites myself for inspiration.
I kept getting told I hadn't selected enough 'likes'. I spent a solid couple of weeks liking and disliking items. Didn't change anything.
Kept selecting 'no jumpers' only to be kept showing jumpers.
Tried selecting another of styles.. didn't show related to styles. Tried selecting fewer styles. Same.
Nothing I tried seemed to have an impact. I've returned and retried a couple times now on thread. But it's just quicker to have a few sites you trust, visit them and go shopping.

Horrible delivery service and…
Horrible delivery service and non-existent customer service. No telephone number and virtual assistant online does not respond
Original delivery took 2 weeks and was returned by delivery service and now I have to wait for it to be re-processed- which will take at least another 2 weeks

Really Poor Service
PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL of the price adjustment returns policy! Unless you know for absolute certain that you will keep every item when you use any sort of discount they will take money for nothing.
The item I received was an extremely poor fit, could certainly understand why it had ended up in clearance, it was a size 6 over the hips and a 20 round the shoulders! I returned it and was refunded £6.20 on my £14 purchase. I can't argue with them- it is in the policy they directed me to (not terribly clear before purchase & return though)- however I will certainly NEVER order from them again.
In addition my order was hugely delayed- taking nearly 3 weeks to arrive because one item was actually out of stock (I can see this is not uncommon) when it was sold to me.
Finally, the number of e-mails you receive is extremely excessive, we're talking multiple e-mails a day, I finally managed to switch them off but it is borderline harassment.
This is the first time I've purchased new in absolutely ages, I was tempted by the format but I'll be returning to Vinted.

Price Match Policy is a JOKE
Before & after placing my order for a Ralph Lauren blazer, I had several polite, informative email exchanges with customer service, including a confirmation of their supposed price matching policy. At no stage did any of their representatives indicate the jacket might be unavailable. Only AFTER I'd placed the order & received a commitment from them to honor a much lower price - confirmed by a Macy's link - did they inform me the blazer was "out of stock"! Isn't that convenient?
To say that I'm outraged & disappointed is a HUGE understatement. Who knows how long it will take them to process my refund! I will NEVER place my trust nor spend a dime with this company again. And now you've been warned.

Really poor customer service
Really poor customer service. Despite the issue being a mistake their end, they could not find a way to resolve it which would not significantly inconvenience me. Order was already significantly delayed and the team were very unhelpful.

Terrible delivery and customer service
After years of being a loyal customer I just had the most terrible experience with Thread because of the poor delivery service they provide. I have been fighting with their customer service team for days with no-one feeling the need to fix the issue which is due to Thread having picked a poor quality delivery service presumably to safe money. They have now lost a valuable customer over it. Good clothes do not work if you are not able to deliver them!

Sent me marked goods. Offered to replace the item they had in stock, but didnt reduce other faulty items that they couldn't replace. Bit annoying, since I had purchased the items for bank holiday weekend but couldn't wear any of them!

Excellent customer service
I had ordered 3 items, one of which was urgent. When it became apparent that they weren't going to arrive in time (partly due to the Royal Mail strike) I contacted customer services.
I got a response within 30 minutes offering 2 suggested solutions. As neither of those worked, I proposed another which was quickly implemented. A perfect example of excellent customer service
Thread is really great
I think Thread is great. I really like the concept of the website and the online questionnaire I did actually lead to suggestions of clothes I loved and bought. I asked the stylist for some further suggestions, and received a helpful quick reply.
I also receive personalised emails when items I like are on sale, or back in stock.
Thread has really helped me get my fashion mojo back.
Online jacket order
Ordered a FatFace jacket online, Thread was the only place left with a good selection of sizes in stock. The process was easy & quick and the jacket arrived in under 24hrs. The item was delivered quickly and was also packaged very nicely so I would definitely recommend their services.
Mistake made worse
I made a mistake sending the wrong shorts back after contacting the thread team who told me they would intercept the returns and send the shorts back to me I’ve now got a refund for the shorts I didn’t want but no signs of the shorts they was going to return to me so I’ve payed for some shorts that I no they’ve received but must have kept them.I’ll not use thread again until this is resolved

Terrible returns policy
Terrible returns policy. If you buy products with a discount and then return one (or even ask for a refund because you got sent a faulty product) you have to pay the discount amount back on other items you haven’t returned! They tried to resolve with money off another order but what if I want to return something again! I don’t want to buy from an online business that doesn’t put their customers first but instead thinks about their profit.

Great site
Ordered a few times now and it has been good each time. Lots of communication on where my package is, most items are really nice and good quality and for the ones I don't like the return policy is very good too.
Fast service, great clothes and wide choice.
Fast dispatch of order and all clothes fitted well. As before the style ideas on the website are helpful and it was great take advantage of the 40% offer!
There is a really good selection of labels across all clothing on the site.
Shambles of scheme
Saw the company on Instagram and thought I'd give it a go. Wasn't initially going to order but then looked at a couple of suggestions that Owain (likely a bot as since he was assigned my "personal stylist" he's been too busy to reply as heard from him on the intro email and he's been too busy ever since) and was quite impressed. Have a christening coming up so decided to give them a go. Courtney then suggested an outfit which wasn't too bad so I placed the order. Decided to mix it up a little bit and fed this back, to which Polly replied. Ordered a shirt in XL (£26) which on the website is advertised as a regular fit. Everything arrived promptly and tried the shirt on...SLIM FIT (guess that would be classed as one form of false advertiing but who am I to judge)! Of course it was miles too small so I returned the shirt next day. Couple of days later recived an email stating they were processing my refund and £11 would be returned to my account. Emailed in to support and told by Lois that as the shirt was purchased on a promotion "their" refund logic adjusts this and the refund is scheduled accordingly. When questioned about this and also the fact the shirt was advertised as regular & not slim fit Taija responded further
"As you've returned an item, the value of your kept items £26 is now below the threshold of £75, so your order no longer qualifies for the £15 off over £75 discount.
To adjust for this, your refund is slightly reduced to £11 (the total price you paid, £60.70, minus the value of the kept items, £49.70 = £11)"
Completely glossed over the false advertisment statement plus the 5th different person interacted with on the 5th interaction doesn't seem overly personal to me.
Told them to keep the £15 (which will probably be re-invested into the totally amazing AI system they have which could fool many a party.
Won't be using them again and will quite possiby suggest to anyone considering that be very careful with your orders.

I'm dressing smarter now..
On the plus side I feel like the stylist really understands what works for me and what I'm looking for and comes up with some good suggestions while occasionally pushing me to think of other things. Returns are easy and I like the website.
Areas for improvement: I do get frustrated that half of what I want or am interested in is always out of stock.
And a plea really that not everyone is 21 :-) I'm more mature but still want to dress well so please can we have ideas and suggestions and clothes for older men

Having bought a number of items from Tread I have found them to be of excellent quality, but you have to be sure of the size because some I have found can be on the small size then stated, so be sure to check before you order.
